Yes, that is how I feel right now. Just spent... after hours of working around the 12 lbs. turkey and all the side dishes. I feel like I really prepared a Thanksgiving dinner for four. I made more than enough. No, we didn't finish the whole turkey *lol*. Needless to say, we were both full and contented.I am not posting any pics nor letting you know of the results just yet. The husband called a few minutes ago to let me know he's leaving the office. See what a difference a day makes?Last night at about this time, he was already home and in fact, our supper was almost about done. What did we have last night? Here, chicken and buttered steamed broccoli. I'm not really a "chicken person". Frank loves thin breaded cutlets like these. He just keeps eating like a madman once these are on the dinner table. I just started to cook tonight's dinner menu, ready for the king when he walks in.

Remember that turkey in my freezer? The one that's been frozen for almost a year. Finally, I made up my mind to try and roast it next week. NO, I'm not hosting any Thanksgiving dinner. At least not yet. I'm roasting it for just hubby and me and it won't be roasted on Thanksgiving Day. I'm planning to make it on Monday.I'm so ready to experiment. My meat thermometer is ready. I just couldn't see myself taking a chance not to have this gadget and make a whole 12 lbs. turkey.Now, what am I gonna do with that 12 lbs? Recipes for left-overs are also in place. The thing is, I have this tendency to change my mind, so I end up not following specific days when to make a certain dish. This way, Frank has no clue what dish will be served. The Holiday s is almost here. I know I need to go ahead and pick out Holiday Cards we'll be sending. We bought fruitcake from Costco, a few weeks ago. They're the pre-packaged kind with the Kirkland brand. As soon as I saw it, I wanted to get it because I got reminded of a fruitcake I'm used to getting as a present from one of my former colleagues at Procter & Gamble. It's so delicious. I couldn't be any happier. Tonight is the first time in ages that we're having dinner at a normal time when most people have theirs on a weeknight.The husband came home early, as today is Veteran's Day and it's a bank holiday. For some reason though, Wall Street decided to be open today, so he wasn't off from work. It wasn't a stressful day due to banks being closed I guess, thus he was able to leave work at 4:30. The market was down again, though.I better go and set the table. Dinner 's ready in just a few minutes.

I'm done with my supermarket shopping at the two supermarkets I always go to every two weeks. I just can't believe how gas prices has been rising steadily. The last time I went to pump gas, mid-grade was at $3.29/gallon. Oh, I shouldn't say I pumped gas because I really didn't. I'm just so used having the gas attendant pump the gas in my car, that I don't go to self-serve pumps. I can save a few cents by doing it, but I'm stupid. I think I'm still in the Philippines *lol*. I'm so used to it and I vowed to never get my hands into pumping gas in the car.Meantime, I shouldn't complain about the price, right? I could save a little but I refuse to do what's needed to be done. Just plain stupid me *lol*.

My niece, Elise graduated from high school last June. She's not only close to me, but also to my husband. Believe it or not, they're so close, that my niece confides to him and seeks advice from him even about boys. As early as January this year, she already informed us about the date of her graduation and that us not being there will disappoint her. Yesterday was one of those days when I vowed to get out of bed and get going early. I sure did and for once, Frank didn't have a hard time waking me up.It was gonna be a soggy and rainy day as per weather forecast, with the rain coming in the afternoon. I wanted to run to Costco for my regular household stuff.We were off to an early and quick breakfast by 9:00 a.m at the Vegas Diner. Sure enough, we were on our way to Costco about 15 minutes to 11:00, just in time for the store's opening. There was a little delay en route to the store because of some roadworks. And once in the store, who would have thought there's another delay just to get in. The escalator going to the upper level was not working.
