2008-05-21 18:21:00 TORONTO, ON., May 21, 2008 – Brighter Minds Media , Inc. (“Brighter Minds” or the “Company”) (TSX: BRI.V) today announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2008. Increased Revenues, Gross Profit and Margins: Total revenue for the first quarter was US$1,417,388 as compared to $1,092,660 for the same period in 2007 representing an increase of 30%. Gross Profit was $692,550 as compared to $342,876 for the same period in 2007, representing an increase of 102%. Gross Margins for the period were 49% of sales up from 31% in Q1 2007. Net loss for the period was $87,436 compared to a net loss of $332,321 for the comparable period in 2007. The Company will be holding a conference call on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 1:00pm EST to discuss the financial results. 2008-04-25 23:40:00 To conclude the series of Earth Day articles, here’s an easy and fun craft using recycled household items. What materials do you need to make your very own bouquet? 1 cardboard egg carton Scissors Paintbrushes Paint in Pastel/Spring colors Green Pipe cleaners Tissue paper (color to match paint) Now, how do you put this bouquet together? 1. Cut out each (or as many as you’d like) egg holder in the cardboard egg carton. 2. Use the scissors to cut a zig-zag shape on top of each egg holder. 3. Poke a hole in the bottom of each newly formed tulip bud. Later on, a pipe cleaner will be inserted as a stem. 4. Paint each tulip a pastel or Spring color. Let dry. 5. Thread the pipe cleaner through the hole in the bottom of the tulip, and fold over at the top so it stays in the tulip. 6. Crinkle up some tissue paper, and glue into the corresponding color of tulip. If you’d like to put your tulips in a ‘garden’, the pipe cleaners...
