RUTH ABERNATHY PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIPSince 1995, the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance has awarded scholarships to outstanding undergraduate and graduate student members. The Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship , developed by the past presidents of AAHPERD to honor deserving students, is awarded to three undergraduate students and two graduate students in January of each year. All scholarships are presented at the AAHPERD National Convention & Exposition held in the spring. Undergraduate awards are $1,000 each and graduate awards are $1,500 each. Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarships At Hy-Vee, we believe in cultivating the future. Since 1969, we?ve awarded scholarships to both high school and college students through the Hy-Vee Foundation. Hy-Vee scholarships include $1,000 awarded to 40 high school seniors and $1,000 awarded to 40 college students - for a total of $80,000 available in scholarship monies. The scholarship award is payable in a lump sum to be applied to college tuition and/or room and board only.
