Scorpion Live
2007-06-09 20:54:00
Out of all the animals on the earth, scorpions are one of my favorites; they?re quite interesting creatures. Scorpions are hard-shelled animals that belong in the arachnid section and live in deserts. Despite their size, they have poisonous stingers and sharp pincers. Though to humans, they make the skin swell up or turn numb. Scorpions live in deserts, so they have a slight resistance to heat. They also have a resistance to radiation, as scientists found out after a few tests. There are over 2,000 species of scorpions, but only a few are poisonous to humans. There are also 2 kinds of scorpion venoms: one is to paralyze prey and the other is to toxic larger targets. The scorpion has 8 legs and a claw-like mouth, as all other arachnids have. Scorpions breed from 3 to 100 hatchlings one at a time. The mother scorpion then carries the young on her back until they?re about 1 year old. Scorpions are nocturnal animals, meaning they hide underground or under rocks in the morning and come o...

Ancient City
2007-05-15 00:07:00
The following news is purely fiction for education purpose onlyIn the barren land of Yukon, some ancient artefacts were found along with dead bodies of what were said to be some of the Asian hunters who came across the Bering Strait 25,000 years ago.A few days before the discovery, the archaeologists had also found some clay and floor tiles in the ground. What archaeologists think is that there might have been a buried city or village underneath the ground. Later, they had also unearthed a chunk of the village, a dismantled hut. The archaeologists say that they will unearth the city in a few months. The city was probably 20,000 years old, since 25,000 years ago the Asian hunters arrived in Alaska, and it took them a while to settle elsewhere. Some people are wondering how the village was destroyed; not many events back could have happened to wipe them out. One of the possibilities is that lightning or an earthquake could have destroyed the town and the ice might have covered the rest...

Physical Activities
2007-04-28 02:28:00
Should Daily Physical Activities be practiced in Ontario schools?Daily Physical Activities should be practiced in Ontario schools because it makes students healthier and fitter, especially obese students.Firstly, fat students have a risk of getting diabetes and other health problems when they grow older. The health problems include heart attack, stroke and cancer. The problems are deadly since they can cause blindness, loss of limbs or even death. The cause of these problems is being overweighted and students can turn chubby if they stay in an inactive life style. Students may also get big by eating too much junk food and playing video games instead of exercising. Daily Physical Activities and gym can help students both physically and mentally. It means that students will be more energetic and confident when they participate in physical activities. The more the physically fit students, the better the health for the world.Secondly, Daily Physical Activities is essential for students ...
Broken Blade
2007-04-26 03:04:00
A Boy and His Paddle"The Broken Blade " is a tale of a boy from 200 years ago who paddled to make money for his family, written by William Durbin. The main character is a blond 13-year-old boy named Pierre. Before he paddled, he wasn't very strong, but after, he grew stronger and buffer. He is responsible because when his father accidentally chopped off his thumb, Pierre took his dad's place as a voyageur when his father couldn't paddle. He's also determined, brave and adventurous since he kept paddling on the canoe with other voyageurs even when he thought it would be too dangerous or when his muscles ached, but still scared in being the youngest member and it was his first time there.Yes, I'd like to be Pierre's friend because he's adventurous and determined, and we could go on an adventure together in a forest or a jungle. There are some minor characters in the story: Pierre's mother, father and older sister, Camille, Doctor Guilliard and his daughter, Celeste, Pierre's ca...

Hey, I'm glad that I have some visitors who are searching for information about Black Slaves History and found my site. I'm happy to provide you with background of the information you are looking for and also share with you my own opinions. Please feel free to exchange your thoughts with me; let's dig the topic. A good news - I start to make my very first income. I get paid to blog. The company who pays me is called "SponsoredReviews", so you can tell that some of my reviews are sponsored. I like this company, because it has opportunities. When I get paid from advertisers whose services I reviewed, I pay SponsoredReviews transaction fees. You know what, their transaction fee is much lower than others. Therefore, a lot of advertisers go for them. Of course advertisers will choose them over the rest; the reason is simple, the same blog, same writer, same quality content, same amount of readers, they pay less to get equal quality service. Apart from more opportunities, it offers oth...

Terabithia Rulers
2007-03-31 19:56:00
The Tale of two Rule rsBridge to Tera bithia was written by Katherine Paterson. I read it with great interest. It's about two friends Jesse Oliver Aarons and Leslie Burke who are in our ages.Jess has straw colored hair, doesn't have another pair of shoes other than his worn-out sneakers; but still, he is very athletic, hard-working and determined. He runs everyday in the morning in summer to make himself not a best but the very best runner in the 3, 4 and 5 grades. He is creative too. He likes to draw crazy animals with problems. He is also thoughtful. He told the bus driver to drop him off at a "Free Puppies" place to secretly get Leslie a puppy. What's more, he is really smart. He found out a way to humiliate Janice Avery -- one of the bullies in his school.Leslie has brown hair and always wears shorts. She is imaginative. She and Jess created the kingdom of Terabithia. She is mischievous. She wrote the humiliation letter to Janice. She is considerate. She gave Jess a set of paint...

Dragon Prince
2007-03-17 01:12:00
The Tale of two Drag onsAllo mate! Today, I'll tell ye all about the Silver Birch book called, "The Drago n Prince " by "Vicki Blum". So, there are two dragons, Ember and Brand. Ember is a green female dragon; she has multi-personalities and is hard to describe. For example she was trying to protect the kid that appeared in her cave but when she went with Brand to talk with Cidrok (a dragon of legend) and when Cidrok said that one of his men was going along to deliver the boy, she changed her mind and tried to run (or fly) away. But in the middle of their journey, she got along with Prince Shadrel (the kid's name) and Yemah (Cidrok's man's name). Brand on the other hand, is a red male dragon; he is one of the offsprings of Shadrel's father (a dragon lord) 's dragon. Brand is determined to deliver the prince to Kowtow where Shadrel's father rules as king. He's also brave when he fought the brood father (the leader of their group of dragons) at the shores of Kowtow-- and nearly d...
Playground
2007-02-27 00:04:00
Where should the school put the new playground? Plan A: Larger playground behind soccer field away from school Plan B: Beside parking lot; no trees being cut down; smaller playground?I prefer Plan B. Firstly, the playground further away takes students more time to go there than the one near the parking lot. Therefore, students will have less time playing at lunch and break because the playground is not adjacent to the building. Ambulances can also get to the playground close to the parking lot if there?s an emergency rather than driving to the one far away. Related to the ambulance reason, parents can also drive or walk to the playground near the parking lot to pick up their children instead of locating their children behind the school building. Building a playground on the other side of the field also might take up some of the field, as a result, during that time, students can?t play there. In addition, teachers will have a hard time keeping watch on the playground further away. Th...

School Uniforms
2007-02-26 18:05:00
Uniforms should not be worn at school since these outfits are expensive and inappropriate for school students.School uniforms are very expensive for some families that aren't wealthy and have more than one child. The cost also includes two sets for both summer and winter for change in case they get smelly and dirty. The uniform expense can add up to $500 and more every year!Forcing to wear school uniform is also against our freedom to wear. Huge fights go on due to this. We won't want that shall we? Another reason is that the uniform doesn't grow with the student, as a result, on a winter day, the student might freeze. It can happen that students take each other's uniforms because the clothes all look the same. If a student moves to another school, then he will have to buy the other school's uniform. In addition, some students think that the uniforms aren't cool or colorful, therefore those students won't like to wear the uniforms. To some students the uniforms can also be unc...

Underground to Canada

Pathway to FreedomNews: Slaves for sale, runaway slaves, abolitionist wrecks havoc $1200 reward for apprehending him... *tosses newspaper aside*Slave owners some hundred years or so ago... can't get enough slaves... horrible humans. Hun? Oh! Right, as you heard, there's slavery aboard in USA early as I can remember... Yes, bad time to be in! Getting back, this book we've been reading is Under ground to Canada by Barbara Smucker! It is a tale of courage, hope, slavery, and much others. Two black slave girls taken from their families, were planning to escape to Canada because of all the insanity on that god-forsaken no-good plantation of those Rileys... those two girls are called... Julilly (or June Lilly) and her friend, Lisa! Julilly is a tall, strong child and is still growing, as her mom and Sims (the overseer for the Rileys' plantation) had said near the beginning (big for her age of 12). She is thoughtful; she always looked out for Lisa. She is also very courageous; she plann...

" ~KRRRSSHHH~ This transmission can't last very long, so listen carefully if you ~KKSSHHH~ want to know about your precious future. ~KKKRSSSHHH~"RenewableWindThe energy from wind flows through the turbines (blades or windmills) and creates kinetic energy in the turbines/blades/windmills which then makes or generates energy. This type of energy is called... Wind Energy !!! Yes, wind energy. The energy that, as said before, flows through the t/b/w and the kinetic energy from the t/b/w then creates/generates energy which is finally sent into homes, buildings etc. There are good and bad sides to this; one of those are that it is nonpolluting and are convenient where there's lots of wind-- in other words, it doesn't run out. But it takes up heck-a-lot-of space since they are huge and need equally huge room to make/generate energy, and the constant humming sound will drive some people crazy and... being obvious, migrating birds don't have too much of a brain to dodge the t/b/w then wel...

Frozen Fire
2006-12-27 04:18:00
The Eskimo Way of LifeThe book about survival in the arctic that I read was called Frozen Fire and the author and artist is (Ta-da!)... James Houston! There are 2 main characters in this book and they are: Matthew and his new friend Kayak! Matthew has his father's watchful grey eyes and his mother's sandy colored hair; he is tall and strong, so big that he outgrows his clothes. He's adventurous when he goes with his father to lots of places like Arizona and Mexico; he is also determined because he searched for his father and Charlie (the helicopter driver) even though there was a huge storm outside and finally, he is smart because he learned a lot about geology from his father which was pretty useful for prospecting rocks.Kayak, on the other hand, is short, very brave and considerate, because he went with Matthew to find Matthew's father knowing it fully was a roaring blizzard full of traps out there but he still went for someone who he really cared for, and he took the risk of ...

If you're looking for restless, hilarious, loyal and hungry Leon, I might be at home watching the crazy, insane, 2/3 cool and 95% action YTV or reading a long, exciting, mind-twisting and never ending tales of the century (the next or the last few); I'll probably be wearing my perfect-sized red T-shirt with 5% Adidas sign on it and my blue and white striped short cotton pants or I may be tasting a fresh hot double-sized burgers served with some of the delicious ketchup and cheese and a glass of cold orange juice. But if you're serving mouthwatering cheeseburgers w/ one whole plate of BBQ chickens--finger-lick'n good or an entire plain cheese pizza with extra mozzarella cheese, that's simply irresistible, spine-tingling and heart-stamping! Be sure to call my name.
