Yippi! Finally I opened my store at Etsy . My first piece was up this afternoon and its the Fruitful Chinese Knot Earrings. The one person I have to thank is Corra. Thanks for announcing my shop opening as well. Corra is such a positive person, always motivated and motivating. 2008-03-02 15:44:00
Not again! Yeah, I am still with sparkling rings today. Hopefully, I will get all done by tomorrow. Only spent about 3 hours on the rings today as we went out for a ride this afternoon. Here are some photos of today's outing to a fishing village about 30km from the city and around Kuching City. Election day is just around the corner and posters and banners are all over Kuching. Sparkling Rings
2008-02-29 15:44:00
Just when I thought that I am quite slow with my hands, today I surprised myself with these sparkling swarovski crystal rings. I made them, all 16 of them this afternoon, while the boys were taking their nap. A new record for me. These rings are made up of 8mm swarovski crystal (round and rondelles) as the focal and surrounded by two gold plated 4mm round bead and 4 pieces of 5mm crystal

Earrings-Wired Chinese Knot
2008-02-28 15:32:00
After few days of inactivity, I finally managed to complete this pair of earrings today. This piece is based on Corra's Wired Chinese Knot that I mentioned the other day. Took me whole afternoon to make this. While wrapping the goldstone, pearls and lime colored gem (not sure what stone this is but I love the color, must check with the expert later!), I really have no idea where it was going

New Rings
2008-02-23 15:45:00
These are some new rings completed today. I used various types of beads and gemstones including pearls and swarovski crystals for these rings. Each ring uses 4 beads and wrapped using a wire wrapping technique I learn from one of the wire jewelry forum I am in. To the people who shared this tutorial, thanks a lot for sharing.

Wired Chinese Knot
2008-02-19 16:34:00
The following experimental pieces of wire wrap works are my latest experiment. This is called Wired Chinese Knot by its creator (in wired form), Corra. I must say it is not as easy as it seems but when I finally got it, after two tries (got it wrong the first two times), it is not that difficult either. In the process, I think I found another way to wrap the wire but with a slightly different way

Other than that, I also purchased two huge agate (oval) that have surface that look like fish scales. Really special this stones but quite heavy due to the size - about 3 in long. Happy Valentine! and here is a very special earring for this very special day. This is a commissioned piece and this time I use something I have never use before - tourmaline! I wrap the pearls and tourmaline briolettes with 30g wire. Happy

Fisherman Wire Jewelry
2008-02-10 15:28:00
Let me introduce you to the "Fisherman Jewelry ". These are the two new necklaces I mentioned last night. Was planning for one but turned out two of them. These two are a bit different from my other pretties because I used two metal jigs instead of the usual beads and crystals. I was tempted to buy these jigs when I visited the fishing tackle shop with hubby two weeks ago. Their colors are just

Back to wire wrap jewelry, today's completed piece is this turquoise necklace for my sister-in law in Calgary. The size of turquoise is about 8mm and I used 22g wire for the wrapping. It measures approximately 16in in length. Simple and elegant, that's how I see it. I hope it matches her earrings, or was it bracelet?...duh old age! Actually there is another piece of necklace in the making but I

No wire jewelry to show for the last few days, I am posting a picture taken of these sea plants, or is it coral? To Be Or Not To Be
2008-01-18 06:35:00
To be or not to be?, that is the question. To what do we owe this dilemma that we face every waking hour, every waking minute of our lives? Some people will say "meddio tutissimus ibis" or "you will go most safely by the middle course". But to some dilemmas there is no such thing as a middle course because they say "you can't have it both ways" or "you can't have the best of both worlds". That is

Resconstructed Pendants
2008-01-05 15:45:00
These two pendants, one rutilated donut quartz and one clear quartz have been hanging on my neck for a few months now. Before this evening, they were hanging from two separate chains and these two chains kept getting tangled up. I solved this problem by combining the two pendants into one. The donut wrap on the rutilated quartz is based on a technique used by Iza (ya! Iza again....I am her no. 1
