After what happened to me this weekend, I thought a lot about that scene in the movie "As Good As It Gets" when Jack Nicholson’s character says, “Sell crazy some place else, we’re all stocked up here.” A friend mine told me about a talented student at a cosmetology school who cut her hair recently so I decided to try him and the school out. Although I should have stayed in bed Saturday, because the day started out dreadful. My hair had a Beetle Juice thing going on, and I had a coffee stain on the front of my blouse that I didn't notice most o the day. When I arrived at the school, the line to see my hairstylist went on for miles and miles of endless mirrors and barber chairs. When I first read it, I liked it so much, I planned on returning to join and write a post, however, this and that got in the way, and well, I simply got sidetracked. The feeling you get from the needed validation and encouragement is like no other, and I will not forget the significance of this one. Twenty two years ago on this day my only child was born, and October the 1st became my favorite day of the year!
