Keira Knightley: 'Atonement' will be 'grown up'
2007-07-23 12:58:00
Keira Knightley has said her current film project Atonement will be "grown up" compared to Pirates of the Caribbean, informs Digital Spy.The movie of the Ian McEwan novel will see the star play student Cecilia, who falls in love with doctor Robbie, played by James McAvoy. As Daily Mail reports, one terrific scene shows McAvoy typing Cecilia a note revealing, in sexually explicit terms, his truest feelings for her, which he then, mistakenly, has delivered to her. Later she and McAvoy make love, keeping their clothes on, but all the zips and buttons are unfastened, in one of the most erotic moments that's likely to be seen on screen this year."I was 17 when I started playing Elizabeth in the Pirate films and they were fun, but very much meant for families.""Now I've grown up and so have the roles."

Lindsay Lohan parties at Pure in Las Vegas
2007-07-17 15:40:00
Lindsay Lohan returned to the site of her scrapped 21st birthday party on Saturday in a bid to prove she can party without the booze. The star took a break from rehab to enjoy a night out at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas , according to Star Pulse. The actress had planned to stage her recent birthday celebrations at the starry venue but opted instead to host a small party for family and friends at Courteney Cox's Malibu, California beach house. She made amends with Pure bosses on Saturday when she made an unannounced appearance and danced the night away, sipping only energy drink Red Bull. Members of the Pussycat Dolls and illusionist Criss Angel joined Lohan in the club's VIP DJ booth, where they partied from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m.

Anne Hathaway refused movie role because of sex scene
2007-07-17 15:30:00
Anne Hathaway once turned down a movie role because she felt one explicit sex scene was too much. According to Star Pulse, the actress, who went topless for sex scenes in “Havoc” and “Brokeback Mountain,” balked at one film script, which called for a co-star to show her private parts. "I turned down another movie because it was going to show a vagina - not mine, but somebody else's. And I didn't believe that it was actually necessary to the story," Hathaway told Marie Claire magazine. But the star insists the no-nudity clause many actresses have in their contracts is silly - and she'll happily bare all if her role truly requires it. "I don't actively search for (movies) that I can get naked in. It's not the most fun requirement of the job, but nor is it something that I would ever not do a job because of. It is what it is. Some people choose not to do it on moral grounds; I think that's a shoddy argument," she added.
