Swarovski Crystals Featured in "Ocean?s Thirteen"

"This summer, Swarovski Crystal Palace chandeliers will share the limelight withstars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, and Don Cheadle" - this is how a short article in Interior Design magazine about the new "Ocean ?s Thirteen " starts.The new film was shot on a lavish set built on Warner Bros.' biggest soundstage. Set designer Kristen Messina selected crystals from the Swarovski Crystal Palace collection for two scenes: Cascade by Vincent Van Dyson will furnish the ?Diamond Viewing Room? and Blossom chandeliers by Tord Boontje will add glam to a hotel suite dinning room. The last one is in the photo above, taken from Clooney Project Gallery (tons of George Cloony photos in various company and mood :).I am very curious to see the movie and the set design itself.

Urquiola's New Bergère - Légere Seating System

I like the new "Bergère ? Légère"seating system designed by Patricia Urquiola for De Padova, especially the elegant sofa in white quilted upholstery (below). "The "Bergère" with pouf is inspired by the forms of tradition: it is a padded armchair with a varnished metal base andupholstered in removable fabric. "Légère" low armchair, with a simplified leg and a singleposition for the back, suited to ether the home or the contract sector, and a sofa, the "Sofa Berger" in a high-backed version and the low-backed "Sofa Léger", both with lower back support cushion and metal feet.The range of upholstery for the whole system offers floral weaves, circular quilted material, a version in undecorated material and leather.The products are fully fitted with zips for removable upholstery, a tribute to the teaching of Vico Magistretti, with whom Patricia worked for many years. from De Padova site

Have a look at my dream summer bed ;-) One of New Zealand?s most renowned and award-winning designers David Trubridge will showcase his work from April 18-23 at Spazio Goradesky in Mila n in a joint New Zealand design show with fellow compatriot Tim Miller. Melding traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, he specialises in sculptural wooden furniture designs and sustainability and simplicity are one of his main concerns. These are two of his ingenious designs: FloatConcept bed (above) design for Design Mobel, made from all natural, sustainable materials.
