We were both about six months post trauma when we found each other, person who made sense to us and better yet a person we could make sense too. We ran like this for about 6 or 8 months, slowly healing each other in the process. He’s fixed; I’m not so I left first, quitting the job we had in common. We continued to see each other and we were on the phone constantly until eventually I got involved with a man and at that point our lives began to separate out. On the one hand it was a shock because in many ways they were the models I looked to affirm that we could have successful relationships. In their e-mails, they professed their never-ending and true love for each other, etc. He also spoke very negatively about me with her. He was making plans to abandon me and our 3 children to be with this woman and her children. I also found out he had sex with this same woman the very first year of our marriage. He had kept this secret for 12 years. I am trying to get past all of this, but I can't. It hurts me to look at him. I've been faithful and loyal since the day I met him. I met him late last year when he joined our music organization and we started getting close February of this year. We started sms-ing everyday, sometimes until the wee hours of the morning. We talked about everything/anything. We went out with friends, to watch gigs etc. In short, we became very close and this is quite unusual for me because I'm normally uncomfortable around guys.
