2008-02-18 18:35:00 Having realised that I’m spending at least £20 topping up my phone each month and getting very little beyond txts for that cost I thought it was time to get a contract. I went for the £25/ month deal with O2 - 200mins, 200 txts. Its not much more than what I was spending and ... More About: Nokia , Slide

northern irish music on tv - imeall geal
2008-02-07 10:18:00 I wouldn’t normally be one to be too negative about things that try to bring arts, culture and music of Northern Ireland to the forefront of traditional media, such as television, but sometimes it just doesn’t work. Who am I kidding, in N.I. most ideas like this don’t work. Then again it is the BBC ... More About: Music , Irish

2008-02-06 10:23:00 I am always in search of gig guides, and to know where my favourite bands are without having to launch their Myspace page. The answer came to me a couple of weeks ago. Sceptical at first, assuming it was just another web 2.0 hopeful, I turned out to be quite wrong once I delved into ...

the art of definition
2007-12-03 21:33:00 While at the launch of the first solo exhibition of the excellent local artist Alice McCullough at the Safehouse Gallery on Monday 26th November I was asked whether I consider myself an ‘artist’. This got me thinking. According to the Dictionary.com: pho·tog·ra·phy (f?-t?g’r?-f?) n. 1. The art or process of producing images of objects on photosensitive surfaces. 2. The art, practice, or occupation of taking and printing photographs. 3. A body of photographs. To me, photography is, by default, an art, though many photographers do not consider themselves ‘artists’. I guess it’s a frame of mind. Many people don’t like the idea of wanting to be part of that crowd of ‘artists’, often seen as being “extremely pretentious”, spending their days and nights with praising each other and their work, as well as rude, arrogant, demanding etc etc. Do I want to be associated with that? Well, my first hand impression of artist... More About: Definition

2007-10-21 16:06:00 I’ve found that the only way to possibly get an early night on a Sunday is by not going to sleep on Saturday night. bill cosby bbq - happy protestants day
2007-07-14 15:35:00 In this country, the 12th July brings with it a lot of tension.
