Addictive TV rock London's Southbank
2007-08-13 11:46:00 Filed under the “shit, I wish I could have been there” category, is this new clip from Addict ive TV’s outdoor Southbank, London, show. I’ve yet to make it to one of these massive outdoor shows, but damn it looks fun. These guys keep getting better and better - if you get a chance to see one of their live shows - definitely check it out. August 4th 2007. Chosen as Critics Choice in London’s Evening Standard’s TOP FIVE gigs of that weekend, alongside London gigs by Prince, Issac Hayes and Dr John, the Addictive TV guys returned to the southbank for a huge outdoor gig. In what seems to have become established as an annual event, Saturday 4th August 2007 saw DJ/producers and audiovisual artists Addictive TV rock London’s Southbank for the third year running with a traffic-stopping audiovisual set from the roof of the National Theatre, projecting on the massive 30 metre flytower, visible right across the Thames and from Waterloo Bridge. Big Chill 2007 Photos and Videos
2007-08-08 12:06:00 Big thanks from Gardner, Xavier, and myself to everyone at the Big Chill for making this a great show, including MC Rebbe, Lisa Loco, Simon from Pioneer, Hexstatic, Coldcut, eXceeda, DJ Tom Laroc, Addictive TV, and the production crew at the Big Chill. Oh, and special big thanks to the airline pilots that came in during the airplanes piece. Wow. Below are some pics from the show, as well as some render tests from the material which I presented. The highlight of the night for me was when I looked to my right and there was Matt Black cutting up some of Xav’s cartoon set. That really made my day - thanks, Matt. Much love. Water Music Remix Show @ Fort Adams, RI
2007-07-09 04:30:00 I had a wonderful time at the Water Music Remix Show in Newport Rhode Island. We had a great show, and I was fortunate to meet and work with an incredible group of musicians and vj’s. I also had the good fortune of meeting the artist and radionics researcher Duncan Laurie, who let us stay at his incredible studio in Jamestown, Rhode Island. The Water Music Remix show was hosted by Duncan Laurie, Larry Kraman and the Museum of Yachting in Newport, RI. The audio-visual program in front of Fort Adams included the all-star line-up of Benton-C Bainbridge, David Lublin, Synesthete, David Last, Aerostatic, and Nalepa.

Early VuJak videos
2007-03-27 09:01:00 Sweatin’ to the old school: here are some early VuJak videos which I recently found on Hi-8 tapes in my closet. The first video is from the Digital Hollywood conference in Beverly Hills, 1994. Some friends at Interactive Light lent us an array of floor mounted infrared controllers, so we hooked them into VuJak and let people do what they wanted during the exhibit. Shown in this video is a dancer who got quicky hooked on it and spent a long time with it. Interactive Light, Inc. created the D Beam Controller, which is now integrated into Roland keyboards. The next video is just us having fun in the studio one night in 1993. We had just gotten the system working well and there were people over for a party, so we turned on the camera. Fun stuff. And here’s some raw footage straight out of the system from around the same time. Fun with randomness. Always liked this. Still kinda relevant. Bill was so much more fun than GW… There’s another post ab... More About: Videos , Early , Earl

Terminator Robot Film Scans
2007-03-27 07:48:00 Now here’s an interesting item… This quicktime movie is made from the original film scans of the Terminator robot which we shot to make a hologram for the Terminator Boxed Set in 1992. We shot one of the life sized robot models from the movie on 35 mm film using a modified Mitchell 35mm camera, and had the film scanned to tape at GW Hannaway and Associates in Boulder, Colorado. Anyways, these are the film originals, cropped and scaled for the web. More About: Robot , Film , Nato , Scan

ChatterValve
2007-03-27 03:31:00 From 1998-2000, we ran a weekly live call in show on RadioValve called “Chatter Valve”. Pretty cool, considering it was ‘98. We had a live webcam, live text chat, and live phone-ins. Hosted by Clark ov Saturn. Special guest appearances by Trace Reddell. Here’s an interesting article from the Boulder Daily Camera about RadioValve: Local radio station uses fiber-optics instead of FM waves. Sounds pretty futuristic to me … And I was always happy to have the loudest tream on the internet. more RadioValve stuff …
