Here is my latest painting in the vacation series. I will be discussing the evolution of this series (in addition, later I will be discussing the evolution of my other series Kung Foo Circle Series ). Both I originally started 5 years ago as a hobby and now that I am painting full time, all of my paintings have begun to evolve adding more metallics(in different colors), slight changes to the basic feel of the series and more. What Inspires You? My recent trip to Cancun provides inspiration for my vacation series and happy hour series paintings.I get asked a lot of questions about where I come up with my ideas, do I paint from pictures or my mind (and many more I?m probably not thinking of at the moment). My response is all of the above! In April, my husband and I went to Cancun for a week and there I found tons of inspiring pictures, memories and images captured in my mind or with my camera. I thought I?d share a little bit with you and give you a hint to some paintings coming in the future(and a picture of one I just completed).Here?s me. This is a perfect example of my hubby and I?s photography skills(waaaa!!)Here? me and the hubby(no he doesn?t like pink! I just badgered him into carrying my backpack awhile).
