Stage 2, background/sky. As you can see the sky is now in the paintings. I usually do more then 1 painting at a time, so I don't waste my expensive oil paints. This was made this easier with this 2 in 1 painting. You may think the sky is only blue and white but if you look closer you can see yellows, reds, purples and more. The remainder of my paint was used to do the water in the bottom painting.
