In the news:Honda Motors Company confirmed after breaking a $550 million assembly plant last Monday that the 2009-model Civics will be built on the new Indiana plant when the year 2008 starts to fall. The new plant was opened recently and at first the company planned to make seats on the new plant but recently, they decided to build the 2009 Civic in the mentioned production plant.Honda is making Civics at East Liberty, Ohio, and Alliston, Ontario production plants. The production had increased after adding the latest Civic production plant which was the Alliston. Honda parts also got its own production plant.The Indiana plant will help the Japanese auto maker to boost its production of Civics in North America. Now here is something that you can bet on will set a trend:Just last week, Audi showed off its new R8 with LED illumination of the engine compartment.The R8, equipped with a 4.2-liter V8 that churns out 420 horses and 317 pound-feet of torque, can take you from zero to 60 in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 187 mph.And if that is not enough, the new optional light package gives you an engine compartment that is bathed in LED light -- drawing attention to the eight-cylinder unit through the clear glass "bonnet." GM: 2008 Cadillac CTS to arrive in January

General Motors today announced the all-new 2008 Cadillac CTS will make its world premiere in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The debut of the redesigned 2008 CTS in the marketplace is scheduled for late-summer of 2007 in the U.S., with worldwide exports to follow in the fall.Says general manager Jim Taylor: "Cadillac has engineered an historic renaissance, with a completely new product portfolio, driven in large part by the original CTS. Success can drive conservatism, but not for Cadillac. The next chapter, beginning in January, promises to be even more dramatic." Taylor further adds that the CTS has "exceeded our goals for sales volume, set new design trends, won championships in racing, and earned awards for quality and customer satisfaction."
