2009-03-12 20:19:00 What an achievement this is for me, my first and only blog RaceDriven.com that currently has over 630 postings, turns four years old today (March 12, 2009).Around four years ago, I was introduced to the world of blogging though some online friends, a televisoon show called "The Screen Savers on Techtv with Leo Laporte, Kevin Rose and more" and a blogging article, blogging in my eyes is a good way to express yourself, in a since, it’s voicing your opinion, but in a soft tone and yet can still being heard or read by many. Blogging is publishing your opinion on any given subject, like for example, from my passions in life like listening to country music, writing itself or Motorsports, NASCAR and Automobiles.Back on March 12, 2005, I started this blog called RaceDriven.com. 2009-03-07 02:13:00 As a part of the entertainment side of my life, television is something that I enjoy regularly, however Thursday night is one of those nights depending upon the time of year that normally seems to be interesting for me, what a line up on television that I set to tape on my DVR from my local cable company. Yes, it’s rare for me to watch anything live anymore with the exception of watching NASCAR racing, so taping them and watching them anywhere between 30 minutes later to the next day is normal for me. 2009-02-22 03:00:00 As I sit here watching NASCAR on television in my bedroom late on a Saturday night, I've noticed the drawing below hanging in a document's frame on the wall above my cabnet and every since I meet Chip Foose last month at the 2009 World of Wheels in Boston, I've been asking this question, what is the vehicle in the picture below?, I was thinking about finding a diecast of it and later buying the real thing to drive around town, so is it a 1930's Ford 5 window coupe or a 1930's Willy's coupe? I’ve got to say that I’ve been a country music fan for a long time and I’ve really gotten into it in 2005 when I was introduced to Carrie Underwood’s music, so to see NASCAR continue that with Keith Urban on stage was good. Nice set by Keith Urban, I believe I heard three songs from him, I might consider getting a couple of those songs. 2009-02-15 00:51:00 I’ve been watching NASCAR for over 17 years now, and in that time, I have seen a lot of things go down, amazing drivers retire, new drivers come into the sport, stock cars changing, racetracks come and go, attendance, tickets, and diecast prices highs and lows and more, however in my opinion one of the most talked about areas in NASCAR really has to do with both on-track and off-track calls made by NASCAR. NASCAR has not always made the best calls or consistent calls from the tower or the NASCAR hauler, one of the most classic examples has been the judgment calls on the yellow line rule at both Daytona and Talladega, did a driver push another driver below the yellow line or did a driver just go below the yellow line to advance their position, which isn’t allowed and the calls are mixed.Another move with the inconsistent calls is on rough driving, the art of making pass cleanly, payback on track or off and more through all of NASCAR. In my opinion, nobody really should expect so much for this driver, the goal in my eyes is simple, stay in top 35 in owner’s and drivers points, make all 36 races in 2009 and start to become a contender week in and week out for victories.
