How To Do Car Window Tinting
2006-11-19 18:33:02 How to Do Wind ow Tintin gBy Lance Winslow Window Tinting BMPs Best Management Practices and Procedures. Every auto detailer who lives in works south of the Mason Dixon line or in a large metro area has asked themselves; should I offer window tinting to my customers? Every wholesale auto detailer in such states in areas has probably been asked by their customers, namely new car dealerships and small used car dealerships, do you know anybody who does window tinting? That simple question spins around your mind like a thought you can control, hey, maybe I should you window tinting, what can I charge, how do you do it? Is it difficult? Many auto detailers and professional car care specialists or even those that call themselves mobile car washers and detailers have considered such a tact. Some have found that they did not have proper training, that was not as easy as it looked in that they had made a grave mistake. While others seem to have a knack for tinting windows tinting w... General Motors November Red Tag Sales Event
2006-11-18 06:30:02 Its that time of year again when General Motor s is offering select vehicles in the Red Tags Sales Event . GM owners are allowed to pick a certain number of vehicles to discount based on new car sales for the year. Most dealers are offering these red tag savings on all leftover 2006 models. It is a pretty hefty discount on most. For Instance, a GMC Yukon that lists for $35000 is now $27000. This is a nice discount on a new vehicle. After some of these vehicles sell, owners can then allocate more savings to other new vehicles. So go to your local GM dealer to see if your model is Red Tagged! If not, let a few of these red tagged vehicles sell and ask the dealership to allocate the savings to the vehicle of your choice. It could save you thousands of dollars so worth checking out. Is This A Good Time To Buy A New Car?
2006-11-17 06:27:01 This is a question that comes up quite often. Is this a good time to buy a new car? When I say new car, I do not necessarily mean a brand new car, but a new car to you, whether it is new or used. I think you can look at the market and tell when it is a good time to buy a car. Typically, November thru January are slower months for the auto industry as a whole. So dealers and salesman will bend over backwards to make a deal during these times. When spring rolls around and there is an abundance of customers, salesmen will drop a customer or shortcut the process to get to the next deal that may be easier. It is the nature of the business. Many will disagree and say each customer is important during any selling season, but trust me, on a cold November day at 6:00 in the evening with no cars sold for the day, Managers will go out of their way to make a deal. Owners believe every day should be a good day and look crazy at managers that are not giving them results. Most dealerships... More About: Time , Good

Honda Ridgeline, 2006: The Weekly Driver
2006-11-01 23:57:02 Honda Ridgeline, 2006: The Week ly Drive rBy James Raia A friend recently made the comment: You never really look at a pickup truck and say, Wow! Thats a good-looking vehicle. Id never thought about it his terms, but his words rang true. His comments also made me laugh because we were discussing the Honda Ridgeline, the new compact pickup truck. When I first noticed the truck, I immediately thought, Well, thats the first Honda I dont like. Introduced last year at car shows and first made available nationwide earlier this year as a 2006 model, the Honda Ridgeline could be categorized as the anti pickup truck. But I didnt know that until my weekly test drive. The Ridgeline just doesnt look like a Honda, and it looks more futuristic than functional. But just like the Element, which didnt fit the sports utility mold when it was introduced, Hondas new pickup up distinguishes itself quickly and on many levels. My weekly test vehicle was the RTL version, the top of the line of five opt... More About: Driver , River

General Motors 100000 Mile Warranty
2006-10-26 06:24:01 GM offers all new car buyers of the 2007 model year a 100000 mile warranty. This is great for buyers, but what is covered in this warranty. You still have your standard factory bumper to bumper warranty. For instance, Pontiac still offers 36 months, 36000 miles of bumper to bumper warranty. Buick still offers 4 years or 50000 miles of bumper to bumper warranty. But, on top of this, you get a 100000 mile powertrain warranty that will cover engine, transmission, and drive train. The extra warranty will not cover radios, window motors, and the like. This is still great news for buyers that were spending an extra $1500 to $1800 and more for the extended warranty. The only one that is not happy about this is the finance manager, as this is a large profit center and a large portion of their pay. It will be hard to sell a bumper to bumper warranty on cars that are already covered for major components. In my opionion, you still need to weigh the options of buying a certified used ... 2006-10-26 06:24:01 Saturn Sky, 2007: The Week ly Drive rBy James Raia If theres one sure thing about the Saturn Sky, its the new sports cars attention-grabbing appearance. Passersby stopped me at traffic signals and asked questions. Restaurant patrons came to my table and inquired. Neighbors wanted to know about the Sky, and even friends who care little about cars were interested. The Sky was introduced as manufacturers first high performance convertible sports car as a 2007 model although it was first available in the spring of 2006. The two seater, which shares its basic design with the Pontiac Solstice, is available in two options, the 177 horsepower base model and the 260 horsepower, turbocharged Red Line. Both models, like the Solstice, are rear wheel drive and have 5-speed manual transmissions as standard equipment. (A 5-speed automatic is also available in both models.) GMs Smartbuy Lease Benefit For Financing With GMAC
2006-10-05 05:54:02 A smartbuy with GMAC is similar to a lease, but at the end of a smartbuy, you have options. You have the option to drop the car off and walk away, sell the car, keep the car and finance the balance. The benefit of a Smart buy compared to a standard lease program is that you are guaranteed financing by GMAC if you decide to keep the vehicle. When considering a lease, if you are late on a few payments, you may have difficulty financing the car for the remainder of the term. A Smartbuy will allow the purchaser to obtain a lower payment while still having their name on the title. Whereas, in a standard lease, the finance companys name would be on the title; in this instance, GMAC. You will also have to carry lower deductibles with a standard lease, where the smartbuy you can carry standard financing deductibles. I tell customers that if they drive low mileage, like 12000-15000 miles per year, the smartbuy is the ticket. Many say they want to buy the vehicle because they hate to p... 2007 Nissan Maxima: 300, Avalon Take Notice!
2006-10-03 11:48:06 2007 Nissan Maxi m a: 300, Avalon Take Notice !By Matthew Keegan During the late 1990s, Nissan rolled out a new version of its Maxima to the critical acclaim of automobile experts as well as to consumers who snapped up the snazzy car in record numbers. Nissan carried the momentum forward until when the 2004 model was released, it was perceived by many as a step backward and sales dropped accordingly. Now, Nissan is poised to release a new Maxima and the company has the Chrysler 300 and Toyota Avalon in its crosshairs! Make no mistake about it: when consumers are disappointed with a particular model they will look elsewhere, not even brand loyalty can keep consumers in the fold. Nissan found this out painfully in 2003 as the first Maximas were released as 2004 models. Sales dropped as potential buyers complained about the cheap looking interior as well as the uninspiring exterior. Nissans loss was Chryslers and Toyotas gain as the full sized, rear wheel drive Chrysler 300 has per...

How Much Do Salesmen Make On Each Sale
2006-10-02 05:45:04 This is a topic that I have avoided talking about, but have had many questions about it, so why hide it! How much does a Sale s Person make on the sale of a vehicle? You may be surprised. I have had customers think that I made thousands of dollars per sale. This is just not the case. Sales people, are paid a percentage of the profit, whether it is a new or used vehicle. The percentage may differ from dealership to dealership, but the average is 30% on primary customers and 25% on secondary customers. A primary customer is one that is easy to finance, for instance, financing with GMAC, Ford Motor Credit, etc. A secondary customer is one that has to bring check stubs, phone bills, electric bills, etc. The reason for the decrease in percentage on a secondary customer is because of the time it takes for funding to take place, or for the dealership to get their money. Now, look at new cars. Since I sell GM, we will say selling a new G6 which has a base price of around $17,000. ... More About: Men , Smen , Make
Avoid Costly Traffic Tickets In The Mail
2006-10-02 05:45:04 Have you ever received a traffic ticket in the mail with your tag number attached to the ticket. Many large cities are incorporating cameras at red lights to catch anyone that goes thru the light on yellow or red. A few weeks later, you receive a ticket in the mail for several hundred dollars. Now, I am not an advocate of running red lights, but there are times when you slide thru on yellow safely. If an officer sees this action, they would most likely ignore you, if it was still yellow. These traffic cameras do not care if it just turned yellow, you will get a ticket! This new invention is a spray that you spray on your license plate, makeing it invisible to cameras. It is also 100% legal. When the picture comes back, it will be overexposed on your plate, thus avoiding any possiblility of getting a ticket by a camera. It is an invisible spray, makeing it look normal to the naked eye, so will not draw attention to being there. It has a property that will cause a glar... Why Your Oil Change Is Never, Just An Oil Change
2006-09-19 04:12:02 Car Repair Prices: Why Your Oil Change is Never Just an Oil ChangeBy Theodore Olson For a repair shop, there is little profit in the $29.95 oil change. By the time a shop pays its technician, pays for the oil, the filter, and the hazardous waste disposal fees, theres no money left. This low profit margin is worsened by the extremely competitive Quick Lube business, which forces local repair shops to refrain from raising prices, despite rising costs. This all begs the question: If oil change specials, which range from $15.95 to $29.95, clearly produce very low profits, then why do so many service facilities advertise oil change specials? The answer is actually very simple: It gets you in the door. Service centers know that once they have your vehicle, they can sell you additional work. Suggesting additional work is called upselling, and its a primary profit tactic of every service facility. Heres a typical example. You drop your vehicle off for, just an oil change. Upon completion... More About: Ever

New Car Quote
2006-09-17 16:00:08 Its that time of year again! It is new car buying season. I get this question daily. When is the best time to buy a car? Well, I can tell you when it gets to the end of the year and there are still models from the previous year, it is a great time to buy. Right now, there are 2006 models on the ground and 2007 models are filling the lots. The 2006 models have to go. You can get your new car quote on Yahoo autos to see what price you should pay for the vehicle you are looking for. If a last year model is not sold by the end of the year, ALL rebates and incentives for that vehicle are gone. So, you can see that dealers are anxious to move those cars now. We still have a 2005 model on the ground in the 2007 model year selling season. It is going to be impossible to sell it now. The dealership will have to make a decision to take a hit to get rid of it. You talk about depreciate when you drive off the lot. An immediate 2 year depreciation. It is a $32000 vehicle tha... What Exactly Is Dealer Invoice
2006-09-14 15:39:06 What Exactly Is Deal er Invoice?By Jeff NeilanMy first answer to that would be, who really knows? Its a very elusive term thrown around by about all the car manufacturers and car dealers marketing departments. You know after many years in the business, Im not sure I could tell you precisely what true dealer invoice or what is termed dead cost is on any particular vehicle. Im sure the owner or the ownership group could somehow calculate this elusive dollar figure but most of us humans will continue to search for the ever elusive animal we refer to as dealer invoice. To say this term is a bit misunderstood is a rather large understatement. Maybe thats why it works so good for the folks in the marketing department. Many potential car buyers assume that what they uncover on the internet is the car dealers invoice price. Well, not really. Its certainly one heck of a lot closer than checking the MSRP of a give vehicle, but it probably isnt going to be dead cost. You hear it all the time. In ... More About: Voice , What , Hat , Dealer

Biodiesel Engine or Biodiesel Conversion
More articles from this author:2006-08-29 19:48:08 Biodiesel Engine or Biodiesel Conversion : Which One is Right for You?By Mike CubertWhenever we talk about biodiesel we mean the process of converting waste vegetable oil to an alternative fuel called biodiesel (or biodiesel conversion) which is then poured into unmodified diesel tanks in place of petroleum-based diesel. There is, however, another practice that comes to many minds whenever the term biodiesel comes up. This phenomenon involves the conversion of the engine rather than the oil, modifying a normal diesel engine to where it can run on unmodified waste vegetable oil (grease, fat, lard, etc.), in essence turning it into a biodiesel engine. Thus the now famous and aptly named Grease Car. With greasecar as but one shining example of many, biodiesel engine conversion is gaining widespread appeal and it is no wonder: imagine pulling up behind McDonalds and getting all the free fuel you can carry! Its true. Restaurants have to pay to get their waste vegetable oil carted away... More About: Biodiesel , Diesel , Sion 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 |
