GM Falling Into The Shadows?
2008-06-22 13:58:00 Cars Originally uploaded by Lawrence WhittemoreFord Motor Company has sparked sales with Employee Pricing and Huge Rebates, but where is the General?General Motors has gone from taking the lead, to wait and see. In this business climate that may not be a bad idea. General Motors is offering special sales on New Cars at strategic times of the year. They will most likely have a 4th of July sale soon that will last a specific amount of time. I guess this is a good plan because when you tell a customer a sale will end at such and such date, it does. On the other hand, customers wait on these dates to purchase New Cars.Value Pricing is GM's Moto! It is similar to the Saturn way of doing business. The margins for dealers have gone down to be competitive in the new Internet age of doing business. A customer that purchased a GM car a couple years ago does not believe you when you tell them there is no mark up in the New Cars. A few years ago, you could give $2000-$3000 discount of... Components Of Car Insurance
2008-06-22 01:59:00 The Components of Car Insurance By Rakesh GaikwadCar Insurance is a necessity in today's world if you drive and own a car. Driving on the roads even one day without car insurance is taking a risky chance and can put your finances in serious jeopardy. Car insurance is a premium you pay an insurer to cover you, the damages to your car and third parties in the event of an accident. Car insurance protects you if the other party does not have insurance or cannot pay for the damages in full.Liability insurance policies cover the damages and injuries to others involved in an accident if you are to blame. This is generally the basic policy the law requires you to acquire to be legally allowed to drive. Liability coverage consists of bodily injury coverage per person, bodily injury coverage per accident and property damage coverage per accident. The drawback of liability insurance is that it does not cover you or the damages and repairs to your vehicle. It is recommended that you should get ...
Owe Too Much On Trade - Negative Equity - Upside Down
2008-06-17 21:59:00 Everyone that has ever purchased a car and traded another that there was a balance on has heard one of these phrases. "You are Upside Down," "You have Negative Equity ," "You owe more on your Trade than it is worth."Let me first explain what Negative Equity is and how to help reduce this Upside Down aspect of a car deal. Negative Equity is simply owing more on your Trade than it is worth. When you trade with Negative Equity, you are obviously going to have Negative on the next Trade In. It is a ripple affect that keeps following you. You had $3000 negative on your trade, now you have $8000 negative the next time, etc...Also, let me say, you are NOT alone! We are in an age when nobody wants to put money down, and wants the lowest payment possible--stretching their contract out to 72 months and even 84 months with some banks. The VERY FIRST thing to make sure you eliminate some negative is to MAKE SURE you get the best deal possible on the car you are buying. You have to visit Yahoo! Au...

2008-06-12 22:03:00 The Long Green WalkOriginally uploaded by mistymisschristieEveryone always awaits the pep cars the golfers drive at the Fed Ex golf tournament. There are huge savings to be found. Here is how it works. There are GM vehicles sent to the Golf Tournament for the St. Jude Classic. The golfers drive them for the week. They are then sent back to the local dealers to sell at discounted prices--(Re-Invoiced).The Cars , Trucks, and SUV's usually are sent back to dealers with 200 or 300 miles, maybe more if you are lucky. Stolen License Plate - Stealing Gas From The Pumps
2008-06-08 22:21:00 There has been a warning put out by law enforcement to check and make sure your License Plate is still on your car. There have been unscrupulous drivers stealing plates and using them on their car to steal gas at the pumps!I realize along with everyone else reading this that gas is getting out of hand, but there is a fine line there. If it gets to the point you have to steal gas and get someone else in trouble, that is too much!Make sure from time to time your tags are still on your car. If this event happens and your plates are used, guess what? The police will come knocking on your door to see whats going on. So, just be aware. Also, if you trade your car in, make sure you get the plates off your trade in. They may be expired, but still request the salesman to take them off for you. This will help avoid any wrong doing going on with your name attached to it. More About: Stolen , Pumps , Stealing , License Plate

Car Leasing Myths Debunked
2008-06-03 22:39:00 Car Leasing Myths DebunkedBy Sarah DinkinsMuch is said about car leasing and, being an expert financial consultant, it usually makes me angry and frustrated when half of what I read or hear is completely false. No wonder why people have the wrong idea most of the time. It is very difficult not to feel influenced by bad publicity when you are researching online, looking up information on financial products. But how to tell the difference between false and truthful advertising? Half of the time, it is very tricky.Car leasing has been a victim of negative publicity for a long time. By this I do not mean that leasing is free from disadvantages, not at all. But its bad reputation is not entirely justified and overly exaggerated. This article seeks to discredit the most common myths associated to vehicle leasing.Myth: Leasing Is Much More Expensive Than BuyingThis is not necessarily true, it depends mostly on how much time you desire to keep the vehicle for. If you have a clear picture in...

Mississippi Toyota Plant Pushed Back To 2010
2008-06-01 11:39:00 This is a recent photo of the new Toyota Plant in Blue Springs Mississippi . Rumors are that the plant opening has been pushed back to 2010 because top executives see a slow down in US Auto Sales.Car Sales in the US have changed in dynamics due to rising gas prices. Many factories are switching line workers from truck assembly plants to car assembly to meet increased demand in fuel effecient vehicles. The only way to lower fuel prices is to lower our consumption of oil. Many are urging drivers to car pool when possible, make one trip to post office-grocery store-etc., trade that gas guzzler if possible. Many are trying to trade their deisel's, big trucks, SUV's, and gas guzzling vehicles. But, are finding that nobody wants these vehicles right now and that has driven the price very low. The demand is down and so are the trade in values. You may find you owe way more than a dealer is willing to give you for the vehicle. In this case you have to figure is it worth trading or are you sp... More About: Back

Hydrogen Fuel Cells - Cars Of The Future
2008-05-16 09:47:00 Hydrogen Fuel Cells - Cars Of The Future By Fei LimImagine a world where you don't have to pay $3 to drive twenty or thirty miles, where trucks belching diesel smoke are unheard of, where you can walk down the road without inhaling the fumes of a thousand vehicles, where thousands of cars pass you and you hear nothing but a gentle hum and whoosh, and you have an idea of where hydrogen fuel cells will be taking us.Fuel cells were invented in 1839 by Sir William Grove, who figured out that you could separate hydrogen and oxygen from water through hydrolysis, and suggested that the procedure could be reversed to create clean energy, with a by-product of water. Back then, it was called the gas voltaic battery; only in 1889 did it get the name fuel cell. How Hydrogen Fuel Cells WorkLike batteries, fuel cells use chemical processes without combustion to create energy with a clean by-product. Because they do not work with the process of combustion, fuel cells never have partly used componen... More About: Hydrogen , The Future

How To Buy A Used Corvette
2008-04-15 04:30:00 How to Buy a Used Corvette By Michael ModicaBuying a used Chevy Corvette can be a complicated venture, as there are many criteria to be met, and the price can be prohibitive. After seeing the price of some of the Corvettes in good working order, the temptation to purchase a non-running Corvette or one that obviously needs extensive work can be high. But, cars with these problems may not save you any money if you fix them up yourself. After the price of the parts and other expenses are added up, it would likely to have been cheaper to buy the car that was in good condition in the first place. The decision to buy a good used Corvette means that a potential purchase should be checked for serious flaws, such as rust. Rust affects the underside of many used corvettes, and is only visible by going under the car for a look. If there is nothing to hide, a prospective seller should not mind a peek at the chassis, which is most prone to rust. While under the car, visually inspect the cross memb...
