I am not a fan for studio photos though, I would go for impromptu candid takes. Personally, I am a firm believer that the photographer ought to have the 'person' interaction with the couple, or simply have a great sense of moments and being.My photographer was Wayne Ng from Jon Keng, the deciding factor to engage him as our wedding photographer was his sincere approach towards our inquiries.We made a swift decision by the following day that we met up with Wayne. Kenny & Keidi Amigurumi Bears - Papa Lil Girl
2008-05-28 04:12:00 Keidi is just 6cm tall, she is my little darling girlie bear, who has a protective yet loving father.Kenny is 7cm tall, a diplomatic papa bear who goes all out to protect his precious baby girl - Keidi. Although not all too macho, he does all he could just to make sure his baby girl will always be safe.I know there are many amigurumi bears out there, but I am confident my bears are unique in their own ways. I will always try to design my dolls in full 3-D presentation as much as I could. If you think this pair of bears are made using similar counts, you will be disappointed that I adopted different techniques to make them different. Amigurumi Wedding Dolls for Daniela S
2008-05-26 13:24:00 I was very excited to make this pair of dolls. Daniela has picked the colors for me to make the dolls.It's a little tricky to make this pair, because this time around, the color of the dress (cream) is thicker in this batch. I am hating the white and cream color yarns for this batch, they are just thicker than usual. To overcome this problem, there is not specific trick or technique, really, it boils down to experience. The more we do, the more experiences we picked up, we will then be able to control the tension better, so that we can achieve the desirable result.Although every of the dolls I made from my same designs may look similar, they may still vary slightly. If you ask me how do I do it? I can only say that I have made many dolls by now, and I do have a better grasp of the yarns and stitches 'behaviors'.I sure hope the buyer likes this pair, personally, I love them!+++++++++I do have a new design 'under construction'. Here goes...+++++++So, the trip to developing countries brought me to thinking quite a fair bit about my present living.The current disasters that hit both China and Myanmar awaken the city souls. It is truly heart shattering when I read the daily Chinese Newspaper on the small little details into the present surviving days of the China Earthquake survivors. My heart goes to everyone affected, so are my tears.We complained so much about our daily busy work schedules; the far-fetched goals and dreams we have set for ourselves; the pressure we have been adding to our shoulders etc. ... Purple Joycezie & Taupe Gogi for Cyndi
2008-05-21 03:17:00 Cyndi is also a repeat buyer. She is not as adventurous when it comes to colors. I can completely understand that, I am not better known for good color senses too. Colors are very personal, each of us have a different preference. Each color may reveal a little something about ourselves.Cyndi simply told me she wanted a purple bull, I match up the rest for her. I sure hope she likes the color combination though.Here are other Joycezie I have made.I love earth tones, Cyndi wants a light taupe color goat. Oh well, ok, she actually mentioned cream color, but I think she really meant light taupe, because she was referring to the existing Gogi I had made.I matched up the other colors for her using Yellow, earthy brown, and red for the body. 2008-05-21 03:08:00 I just completed the few orders yesterday, and they are ready to leave for their new homes. Mich is a repeat buyer, I sensed that she is getting more adventurous with colors selection. She used to select from my existing doll colors, but this time around she decides to choose her own.One thing I really enjoy about color customization by buyer is that I get the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone (you would have known by now that I am a really boring and 'safe' person, so I always select safe colors). By selecting the baby blue with light green, it gives NoNo a uniquely different personality altogether. The first NoNo I created was in Orange, with brown horns. Now, we have increased the variety to 9 colors, including the black.My favorite colors are of course yellow and orange, followed by brown. Red would be great for wedding events, blue will be great for baby dolls, so is pink, green for hi-fun, purple for someone's favorite.. Oh well, just so you know that with a touch of creativity, every color becomes essential and turns out wonderful.The straps are available for purchase in our estore, whereby you may select to purchase just the straps or straps with lobster clasps. So cheap skate eh.Well, there are many people out there who still lives in an era that I am not familiar with, who think that handmade produces are cheap.This is how I look at it (even with biased opinion, since I am a handmade crafter myself); if 'B' happens to be a high ranking executive, who earns $6,000 a month, do the sums yourself, you may find that if she uses 5 hrs to make a doll (given that she is not a crafter, who makes dolls for a living, she may take longer to make a doll), that doll could cost quite a bit!Also, consider that the time she spent to make the doll, may fetch her a tens of thousands of dollars deal, work that out a bit too.Wh... 2008-05-06 08:29:00 PJ and I have been talking for the longest time to work on the ready artwork images for couple to select from.I have fallen in love with PJ's work the first time I set my eyes on Wendy's graphic image, as with any business operator, I 'grabbed' her immediately.There are many details to go into when it comes to contracting an artist for her works, I have been working into details on copyrights, the artist's interest etc. I want to work out something that would be fair to all parties.We are adding in more images as we move along, but with the current collection, I am trying to showcase PJ's style and talents, and clients may always order customized artwork, and we even worked out various price points for different choices.Typically and personally, I love PJ's works because they are full of life! 2008-05-06 02:01:00 A lovely buyer contacted me to verify on the pattern of Pointie (in the Monsties Trio set), in order to verify it, I made one Pointie (my draft of scribbles is nowhere to be found) and indeed, there was error in the pattern.I am always and will always be thankful for buyers who step forward to clarify doubts with me. As much as I try to provide 100% error-free pattern, I can't say that I can always achieve it, hey, I am really a human, don't doubt about that!Instead of the crooked smile, I changed it to a straight line smile. Mike agrees to adopt this little monster, so I make this according to his liking. I know the horns are not so pointed too, Mike loves Dotty quite a fair bit, and he tends to want the horns to bend like Dotty.Since the buyer expressed that she needed to look for craft eyes, I use the 12mm eyes on this Pointie, so that she can take a look at the difference and consider which one she wants to search for.With this Pointie, I am done with orders that needed to sen... (I know, because I was one of them too!)Based on the couple's wedding invitation card design, we worked on the customized wedding favors extracting most of the elements from the invites.There was quite a bit of work on my part while I tried to match as closely to the wedding invites color scheme and all.The couple celebrated their special day on 01 May 2008, and I sure hope they had heaps of fun that day.I am sure there is a story behind the pig and duck, and as much as I am so very curious about that story behind it, I didn't probe. LOLI love stories, everyone and everything should have a story to tell. I am still not taking it personally though, because eBay has never come close to be a personal friend or associate, so they don't fit into the 'personal' segment.I have decided not to appeal for the account suspension. I am 100% fine with any corporate decision made by humans, but I am not alright with human allowing machines make the final call, let alone stupid machine that stupid people rely 100% on. Then again, maybe there isn't any trace of human intelligence that can be found anywhere in the organization eh?You can already sensed that I have completely lose my cool over this matter. 2008-04-30 13:22:00 This is a piece of news that I am euphorically excited with!First of all, let me begin with the newsletter (see below image) that DaWanda sent earlier, and while I was busy resolving the eBay issue (read earlier post on this), I didn't download the pics of the email which is created using html, so I saw nothing but the text.The newsletterAt the same time, I received a couple of spam mails, so I deleted everything from my server and moved them to the thrash folder.Later on, Ruth of Sparklethots msn me with a full cap 'LIS' with the url (click the title to visit the DaWanda wedding page) and said something about DaWanda. 2008-04-30 09:49:00 If you visit my eBay store now, you see this message 'Sorry, this store does not exist'.I am not sure if I would be able to reinstate my account, but I am trying to resolve this issue with eBay.Apparently, it was decided that Machine should take over Human Intelligence in my case. I have stopped listing my digital products on eBay, as I had announced in my website as well as blogged it up here. However, there is this naughty feature in eBay that the listings do get automatically relisted when they get expired.I had consulted the Live Help (A really wonderful feature that eBay has implemented) twice on the digital product listing matter. I wasn't aware that there is going to be a change in the policy, so when I tried to relist the sold items on 25 March, I just couldn't get pass the steps. The 'helper' told me that the current listings will be active till they get expired. Therefore, I didn't do anything about them, and put up notice that the listings will not be relisted once...
