2007-01-10 09:30:00 We have explained before why the uranium industry would be growing. It looks to grow beyond our first expectations as Germany is now beginning to confront the political implications of nuclear power. This can only be supported by the good news from Brussels in their plan to increase the amount of greener technology due to the green house gases. We feel that this year the green house gas emissions will be not just on the political agenda but now also at the front of the business agenda in most board room meetings. The reason being that having high green house emissions is something that will being to cost firms if they don?t clean up their act in the form of emission taxes. What is even better is that the reduction in emissions can also be traded to produce profits. Hopefully this would be enough to convince the general public that the nuclear power is a better form of energy. For most people uranium has normally been a dirty word, and normally associated with places like Iran, North Korea and of course the cold-war. Even when there is association with its primary use today - nuclear power - the association is with the negative aspects; accidents like Chernobyl or 9 Nine Island. More so, uranium has not, until relativly recently, been something that has traditionally attracted the eyes of a typical investor.
