PBM Friday Update
2008-01-25 14:45:00
Wow, I think this is the longest I have gone without posting. The fact is, I have not been busy shooting with this crazy weather.I have a rescheduled engagement shoot scheduled for tomorrow, however I am not sure if that will go as planned either. One of the unfortunate downsides to not having a studio I guess, but one day..I will!! I love location sessions, but a studio would come in handy for situations like this.My calendar is lit up though with all of the engagement, bridal and weddings scheduled. In the coming weeks, I will be posting new photos on a regular basis as I have many sessions scheduled so look out for them! You may have noticed a new countdown at the top of the page.Yes, yours truly is hitting the big 4-0 on February 10th. Thanks for the denture gift Brittnie!! haha I hope I can go another 40 years without those!! But I'll have them if I need them right??Thanks to all of you that have added your photo to the guestbook. I appreciate that!!I will give those of you that...

Stacy & Phuong--The Wedding
2008-01-16 17:09:00
This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing Stacy & Phoung's wedding. It took place at 10:30am in Abbeville at the beautiful St. Mary Magdalen Church.Although I do not speak or understand Vietnamese, it was a beautiful ceremony.I found it interesting that the priest had noted Stacy & Phuong have known each other for 8 years!! These 2 are meant to be together. The reception was unlike any other I have been a part of. I have never seen so much food or alcohol for a reception. I don't think it was wasted either..hahaThat's why I mentioned I was pretty certain there were hangovers on Sunday.Stacy & Phuong, thank you for the opportunity of photographing your big day.I wish you both the best.Below are a few photos in a slideshow format from the wedding day.The "Slideshow" & "Ordering/Proofing" galleries are unlocked for anyone wanting to view them on the website.-Paul

Stacy & Phuong--The Rehearsal
2008-01-15 15:29:00
I know many people are waiting to see photos from Stacy & Phuong's wedding.I am working on those, but I thought I would post a few from the rehearsal. My curiosity has got me wondering ifI am the only photographer that attends rehearsals? The priest was rather surprised and kept asking why I was there. hahaIt's something I do because I do not like surprises when it comes to photographing a wedding.I also get to meet all participants in the wedding. Thanks Stacy, Phuong and wedding party. You were all a pleasure to work with!!Wedding photos should be posted in a couple of days.-Paul
PBM Monday Morning Update
2008-01-14 14:44:00
Good Monday morning!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. As noted in Friday's post, my wedding season kicked off this past weekendin Abbeville with Stacy and Phuong's wedding Saturday morning.I started shooting pictures at 8:30 that morning and didn't stop until 3:30.It was fun and definitely different from other ceremonies I've had the pleasure of being a part of as most if it was in Vietnamese tradition.I also feel certain saying that there were many hangovers yesterday...hahaI will be working on those photos and will post as soon as I get approval. Also, I would like to mention that I have spoken to many of you wanting to orderphotos but don't see them in the "Proofing/Ordering" section of the website. The reason is, my host provider allows them to be up for a certain amount of time to allow me to post new photos. However, if you are looking for your photos and are unable to order, please do not hesitate to call or email, and I will be happy to put them up again. Thanks for vi...

Omazing Grace
2008-01-10 15:02:00
This is the first time I post a video on the blog. I hope you enjoy it.My sister in law, Crishelle sent this to me.I can't help but laugh every time I watch it so I thought I would share it with you.Turn your volume up and listen and be sure to watch the whole thing. If you have seen it before, watch it again because it is funny.God bless this guy for trying, but I think I would try whistling...hahaI think there is an email link at the bottom of each post I write..use it to send to someone..as I'm pretty sure it will put a smile on someone's face.It is not my intention to offend anyone with it, and if it does, I do apologize.I still think it's funny.I have disabled the radio for today's posting so you can hear this.I would love to know your thoughts and comments.-Paul

PBM 100th Post!!
2008-01-09 15:17:00
Today marks my 100th post on this blog!! I never thought I would have had that much to say when I started this blog 5 months ago. It's approaching 4,000 hits, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. If you visit regularly, you may notice some changes I have made..mainly the colors on the website, and the photo at the top of the blog... I changed last night. I am experimenting with different templates for the website and as soon as I find one that I have to have, I will make a change..just trying to keep it fresh!I mentioned the number of hits this blog gets and that leads me to another topic...I have a photo guestbook on this blog for readers to post photos. I must have alot of "secret readers" to have only 8 photos in there?? I think 99% of us have photos on our computers. If you do not..call me, I'll go take one for you!! hahaI'm told often, I read your blog all the time, and yet there is no picture to prove that...I would hate to have to start calling names!! hahaSeriously though...

It's been a while since I posted but today I start getting back into the groove.Today I am proud to present photos from Randi & Donnie's wedding. The rest of the photos can be seen on the website in the "Slideshow" & "Proofing" galleries. This was my last wedding of 2007 and it took place in Baton Rouge.I will be traveling there tomorrow to deliver Randi's wedding album to her.I attended the rehearsal at her mother's home the night before andI want to thank everyone that was there for making me feel so welcome. One thing I would like to add, and I am sure if Donnie reads this, he will appreciate it.To all the future couples that I work with:Please tell me if the honeymoon destination is a surprise. At one point during the reception, I asked if they were driving to their destination that night, not knowing Randi didn't know where they were going!! Insert foot!! hahaThanks again Randi & Donnie, I wish you both the best, and thanks for the opportunity!-Paul

Surprise Photo Shoot #2
2007-12-28 15:29:00
Today, I would like to share the details of the 2nd surprise photo shootthat I went on just before Christmas.I got a call from my niece; Kelsey, to take some photos of her and her 3 brothers for their mom; Connie, to give them as a gift.Of course, Uncle Paul was more than happy to do it. I love these kids like they were my own.We scheduled a day, time and place while they devised a plan to keep Connie occupied while we did the photos. She was very surprised and emotional when she unwrapped these photos. If you have not read the entry in the guestbook on the website, I'll post it here:Paul, I cannot thank you enough for what you did for my kids. You did such a nice self-less act. I was so suprised to get the pictures. I have not cried in months, but that did bring me to tears. I love you Michelle and Ben so much. If ya'll ever need anything please call. I LOVE THE PICTURES. You made my Christmas..Thank you!!!Thanks Koty, Matt, Jake, & Kelsey!! Mission accompolished!-Paul

Surprise Photo Shoot #1
2007-12-27 17:26:00
I'm BACK!!I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and Santa was good to you. He was certainly generous at the Mouton house. More on that in another post.Last week, I had posted that I had a couple of secret photo shoots but could not elaborate any more because the recipient of those photos reads this blog. Now I can elaborate on them. The first was a surprise for Michelle. Our son, Ben doesn't care for having his picture taken too much, but being that it was for his mom, he was more cooperative.I had the photos below enlarged and framedand we gave them to her for Christmas.Needless to say she cried and her baby is on displayin her office and in our home.-Paul

Randi--The Bridals
2007-12-16 22:44:00
About 2 1/2 weeks ago, I had a great time with Randi, her mother Terri, and maid of honor Nicole at the Houmas House Plantation to do her bridal shoot. That has to be one of the most beautiful places I have had the pleasure of working. Randi was going through a bout of laryngitis the day we did these photos. She could barely talk but didn't have to...I shoot pictures - not videos..haha! The wedding was yesterday in Baton Rouge and I will be working on those this week. I will post those pictures as soon as they return from their honeymoon, so check back!! Until then, it is my pleasure to present a few from her bridal session. The rest can be viewed on the website in the "Slideshow" and "Proofing/Ordering" galleries.-Paul

This past Sunday, I had of the pleasure of getting together with Christy & Scott and the rest of her family for a photo session. It was great to see them again! In an earlier post this week, I had referred to Christy as "Crip".It is because she is sporting a walking boot cast on her right leg.A while back she injured her ankle and is still going through the healing process, but is handling it very well.Christy & Scott, you know how I feel about you and working with you. Thanks for the opportunity once again, to capture what I hope are memories that will last a long time for you.-Paul
