Introducing..Kristi & Keiffer
2007-11-29 14:47:00
Today I want to introduce Kristi & Keiffer. I have not had the opportunity to meet Keiffer yet, but I have known Kristi for quite some time being she used to work with Michelle. I have many memories and photos of the good times we have had over the years, including Bourbon St, but that's another post!! I will say this though, she is a HUGE New Orleans Saints fan, and plays the meanest air guitar on a fly swatter that I have ever heard!! hahaThe wedding is set for February 1st, but you will see more of them before then.I already know she will be a beautiful bride, and I am looking forward to capturing her in a whole different light. Thanks for sending the photos Kristi!!!-Paul
PBM Wednesday Update
2007-11-28 12:18:00
Lots going on so let's get to it.First of all, I have drawn my own conclusion that if you're name starts with a "K" or "C" but makes the "K" sound, and you need a photographer....look no further because I'm the one!! haha Here's the story.. If you have been keeping up, you have seen the posts I have made about the run of Christys, Crystal, Krystals, I have been working with...add to the mix now a Kristi & Keiffer-whom you will meet tomorrow-but I see she put a photo in the guestbook!! Thanks Kristi!!Also, I had the pleasure of talking to Kelly (see a pattern?) yesterday and the day before and she booked me for her October 18th wedding!! Thanks Kelly, I'm looking forward to working with you!!Tomorrow is Randi's bridal sitting just outside of Gonzales at the Houmas plantation home....it looks like the weather will cooperate.Stay tuned!!-Paul

Monday after Thanksgiving
2007-11-26 12:15:00
Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I would put yes or no poll up and the question would be: did you eat too much? I think I know the outcome. 3000 hits on my blog and counting!!! Thanks for visiting!!!Nonetheless, here is the rundown for today:I will be paying my respects at two funeral homes today. 2 of my aunts (by marriage) lost their mothers within 4-5 hours apart on Saturday. Rest in peace Mrs. Dominique and Mrs. Broussard. Afterwards, I'll be dropping off discs at the printer for orders I received over the holidays..Thanks everyone!!From there, it's on to Darrow, LA. For the geographically challenged, it's past Baton Rouge, actually just past Gonzales, to meet with Randi for her bridal sitting!!! This is the link for the location she chose: http://www.houmashouse.com/index.htmBeaut iful location, beautiful bride...should make for great photos!! Check back!!!-Paul

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
2007-11-21 15:41:00
When I take the time to reflect back on all of the things I should be thankful for tomorrow, near the top of that list will be the many people I have had the pleasure of working with and meeting this past year. Although this is a business, I am thankful for the friendships that have been formed as a result of us working together. Many of you have informed me that reading this blog has become part of your lives, and for that I am thankful as well. Thanks again, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!-Paul

Delivery Days
2007-11-16 14:41:00
Lots of news today, so I'll get right to it. I have installed a new photo guestbook in the blog. I am not sure what happened to the previous one, but it stopped working. Please don't be shy, post your photo in it!! It's more fun that way!!After having 2 computer techs try to recover files from my failed hard drive, I took it home, did some research and have recovered everything I needed to. Here's the tip: PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE OR FREEZER in a ziplock bag. This week has been all about deliveries for me. Elizabeth came over to pick up a photo earlier in the week, I delivered Deeann's photos from her daughter Richelle's wedding that she had ordered, I was finally able to finish up with Crystal & Wilton's photos and delivered her album yesterday. Matt & Amy were passing through town last night. We had planned to meet near where I live, so we did and I gave them their "baby bump" photos, and today I'm off to Lake Charles to deliver Sheena & Jared's engagement photos...

PBM Tshirts?
2007-11-13 14:31:00
The Baton Rouge marketing department of PBM Photography has requested Tshirts . With that in mind, I have been researching and come up with a design that I like and has been approved by the President (Michelle) haha..I have not ordered yet, because I need an estimate as to how many to order. If you're interested in a PBMphotography.com Tshirt, please email me and let me know, and also please specify the size..Below are photos of the shirt, subject to change. Please click on them for a larger view. The 2 designs I'm debating on are the ones pictured, or the photo of me at the top of this blog on the back of the shirt...Suggestions and comments are most welcome!! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!-Paul
Amy, Matt & (Olivia)
2007-11-12 12:10:00
Saturday afternoon I drove to Baton Rouge to meet with Amy & Matt to do my first "baby bump" photo session. We met in front of the state capital building and moved on to Arsenal Park right next door. They are a wonderful couple and I really enjoyed working with them. Matt would have preferred to be hunting, but I think he's glad we met and took these photos. I told Amy that I tried to make him as pretty as her, but it just wasn't working! haha They are having a little girl, already named Olivia , due in January. I wish you both the best and thanks for the opportunity!! As soon as I find out Baby Olivia enters this world, I will let you all know! So stay tuned for updates!! All of the photos from this session can be viewed on the website in the "Slideshows". -Paul
When Hard Drives Fail....
2007-11-09 12:45:00
It was not a good day yesterday in the PBM world. I had one of my hard drives go down and I have to tell you..it's a mess!!! Computers are wonderful tools when they are working properly but when they're not.....well I'm sure some of you have been threre? I was able to recover some files, and I have a technician coming over to sort out the rest today. However, down time like this puts me way behind on my work. For those of you waiting on prints, I was able to put the images to disc before the drive failed. I still have access to internet and email so if you need to email me, please do so. I will answer as quickly as possible. I hope to have all of this sorted out soon. Thanks for your patience and understanding.-Paul

2007-11-03 13:59:00
After a long wait, I am able to proudly unlock Crystal 's bridal galleries in the "Proofing/Ordering" & "Slideshows" section of the website. There are many more in the galleries. As I mentioned in a previous post, these were taken in Avery Island. I had never been there, and with these 3 ladies, the photos turned out to be some of the most picturesque I've captured. Crystal, Dana, and Deidre, you were all wonderful and were alot of fun to work with. The wedding was last night, and I will update with those photos as soon as I am done working with them. The photos below are a few from the bridal session. -Paul

I'm sure a good time will be had by all. I am also working with DJ Matt Allen again. Ashley & Lane
2007-10-30 17:56:00
If you have been keeping up with this blog, you may remember I had mentioned this young lady; Ashley in an earlier post this month. Her and her mother, Ms. Susie came over for a consultation. We had lots of laughs, and just a really nice meeting. She informed me yesterday that she would like to do her bridal sitting in the town of Washington. I have never done a photo shoot there, but needless to say, I am looking forward to it!! Ashley was kind enough to send me a photo of her and her fiance; Lane . The little note with it says they had never been horseback riding and she surprised him by taking him this weekend. How cool is that?? She also says their backsides are sore, and I would bet they remember that ride for a while!! haha Below is a photo from that trip. Keep an eye out for them because you will be seeing more of them!!-Paul
Buford & Baxter
2007-10-28 16:23:00
A little change of pace today. I ordered a new lens and received it yesterday. So I decided to try it on a couple of different models. These 2 vicious animals protect and alert the PBM household when necessary. First up is Buford...he has been with us 9 1/2 years now, and still thinks he's a puppy. However he is very camera shy, and runs when he sees me with the camera. Then there is Baxter . He has been with us since Mardi Gras day 2007. He is the enforcer should trouble arise..which needless to say, is not very often. He's 3 years old and is full of energy as you see in the photos. He doesn't care for the camera too much either but decided he wanted to be photogenic yesterday. I am still trying to convince Michelle that he really is a good dog..haha-Paul

Busy Weekend Ahead
2007-10-20 14:11:00
Lots going on in the PBM world..I'll get started by saying that today is Brittnie & Tony's wedding day, so I'll be heading east toward Baton Rouge today. She has decided to have her wedding outside and the weather should be beautiful for it. Congratulations Brittnie & Tony!! She has informed me that a snake (yikes) fell from a tree while we were there for the rehearsal Thursday night!! I must have been inside to have missed that!! Me and snakes do not like each other ..haha I will be leaving early to try to get by the traffic in Baton Rouge due to LSU playing Auburn. After I'm done shooting their wedding, I will head back here to the Hilton in Lafayette to take some photos at what we are expecting to be a victory celebration for District 7 candidate Don Bertrand. Don't forget to exercise your right to vote!! Good luck Don, you are well deserving of the position.I have alot more stuff going on, including new couples, but I will save that for later posts during next week, ...

Brittnie & Tony-- The Rehearsal
2007-10-19 15:32:00
I didn't think I would ever get out of Lafayette yesterday with the accident on I10 taking as long as it did to clear up, and the city streets jammed with cars trying to get around it, but I made it to the Oakleigh House in Watson (that's about 20 miles North of Denham Springs-Baton Rouge) for the geographically challenged (haha). In any case, I had the pleasure of meeting Tony ; Brittnie's fiance, the wedding party and her parents. I have to say they are a wonderful group of people. The wedding is at 3 tomorrow so stay tuned....I've attached some photos below from last night. The 2nd photo is Brittnie with her father, Terry. The 3rd photo is the happy couple. -Paul
