Strolling up the narrow Matharpacady by-lanes, in Mumbai, I was stopped in my tracks by sounds ?heyy ya'. More shouts, in baritone unison, followed. And still more, in a smooth and consistent rhythm. Initial alarm, at something gone wrong, soon turned into amusing relief, at my sighting a mathadi gang, labouring in moving a transformer, up a narrow incline, within the cloistered confines of vintage houses.

Finally, after 3 days of testing and fine-tuning we have got Trak.in blog upgraded to the latest version of Wordpress. What is more exciting however is, the theme change that was on cards for last couple of months. After trying out various free as well as customized themes, I have settled down for Shifter - A simple, highly extensible and fast loading theme - the three most important aspects for me to choose shifter.

I do cover a lot of online travel agencies and destinations on this blog, but most of them cover elite and traditional travel destinations. But today?s post talks about a place that is known for poverty and notoriety. I accidentally stumbled upon this site of a traditional travel agency that offers guided tours to Dharavi?.yes, Dharavi ? The largest slum in Asia . I was amazed when I read that because Dharavi is not a place where you would ideally like to be in most circumstances (at least that?s what most of us think!).

How mainstream media make a fool of themselves!

Back in August I had written about the report that was published on Rediff and Business Standard. The report mentioned that Google was fortnight away from announcing its Google Gphone. It was quite surprising to me at that time and I had clearly questioned the authenticity of this news. There was also an image of Gphone floating around.
