Railway minister Lalu Prasad announced slashing of passenger fares of all classes of train travel in his budget speech. The AC-1 fare has been cut by the highest 7%, followed by 5% reduction in sleeper class fare. AC-2 and AC-3 fares have been cut by 3% and 4% respectively. Freight on diesel and petrol reduced by 5% 53 new trains will be run in the financial year 2008-09. Of these, 10 are Garib Raths, the fully A/C  unreserved trains catering to the lower income passengers. Women senior citizens will now get a discount of 50% on fares, instead of 30% which they were getting. 30% concession in fare for male senior citizens will continue. Railways working on plans to shorten queues at reservation counters. For this, ticket vending machines will be installed in residential neighbourhoods. Their number will also be increased to 6,000 in the next two years, up from 250 now. Those booking tickets through the Internet can get wait listed tickets as well. Option for booking ticke...

  As expected the AGAG group chairman Mr Anil Ambani has come up with a bonus issue for Reliance Power of ratio of 3:5.   What it means? If you are holding 5 shares of Reliance Power you are   entitled to get 3 shares of Reliance Power. How much do i have to pay? The great news is that you don’t have to pay anything. What it means for retail and non retails investors? Child actor Darsheel Safary and actress Tabu bagged the Critics Award for best actor and actress at the 53rd Fair One Filmfare Award 2007  for their performance in `Taare Zameen Par' and `Cheeni Kum' respectively. Actually little Darsheel was nominated as best child actor, but later he was nominated in best actor category itself and look what happened, he bagged an award right away. 1 film=1 award. While Darsheel acted really well i would give the credit to an actor  par excellence, Aamir Khan(now a successful director as well).

From the Economic times India , the world’s fastest-growing mobile market is just getting better, added a record 8.77 million mobile phone connections in January 2008, according to data released by telecom regulator Trai on Friday. Industry sources said the additions in January could be the highest-ever recorded globally. China , the world’s largest telecom market, added 8.42 million subscribers in the month of January, led by a 7-million addition by China Mobile , the country’s dominant GSM operator.   India added a total of 8.77 million mobile phone connections during January, against 8.11 million connections in December 2007. However, wireline connections registered a decline of 0.03 million subscribers to 39.22 million in January. The total number of telephone connections reached 281.62 million at the end of January, against 272.88 million in December 2007. Tele-density increased to 24.63% at the end of January. 2nd Vote out of MTV Hero Honda Roadies 5.0

Just before the 2nd vote out the number was 11, that's right there were 11 roadies. But as the days are passing the game is getting tougher and better. well in the second series of the MTV Hero Honda Roadies 5.0 the most interesting part was the strip SMS. If you guys have missed it, i will briefly try to tell you what  was it all about. The game was in the starting every girl was to select a male partner for herself, and Rannvijay was to ask a question and every female roadies had to SMS the answer to Rannvijay. Now the most interesting part was, if the answer given by the female roadies was wrong, his male partner had to put off a piece of cloth in order to be in the game. Quite interesting huh? Have a look Well in the end at the 2nd vote out Vibhor Gupta was unfortunately an Ex-Roadie. What do you think, leave all your comments.

Almost 4 years ago Mr Ratan Tata started a dream project(only a dream for other's) THE PEOPLE'S CAR, while he believed in India's potential to make this dream happen, he fixed the price of his dream car(Known as people's car) emotionally at Rs 1 lakh. Since then almost hundred's of engineers and designers were working on it, which except Mr Tata and his team nobody believed that it could ever happen. And today after 4 years finally the TATA group revelled the So called "peoples car" TATA Nano in the Auto Expo held in New Delhi. Here's how it looked like   And with the Nano's launch India now holds  a record of producing world's cheapest car, the Nano. It was priced at Rs 1 lakh as promised my My Tata 4 years back(he managed to stick to his emotionally fixed price inspite of the cost of raw materials going up). Want to become rich, ever what how do people   do to become famous and successful. Yes these are the one of the first questions that come to our mind and then we discard them thinking they are lot more different from us, and we can't be one of them. Guess what? you are absolutely wrong. They are in no way different from you and me, just that they do things differently. Even i felt a little let down and then my friend santosh showed me this video, which according to did lot more to me than just to motivate me, it wakened me. so finally i thought why not to write a post on it so that many people can probably do what they want to do without thinking what if i couldn't? or how can i? Lets not wait for things to happen, make sure you make them happen.

Today was the first of the the corporate law classes, and guess what it is for three and half hours long(no breaks). But is was not as boring as expected, anyway's what i must tell you is it was a jam packed session. When the much awaited IPO of Reliance Power was on its way, i was the amongst first to apply for it hoping a tremendous gain in the short term itself(as during that time markets were at peaks and according to the sources it was to open at a premium of almost 100%).The Reliance Power before listing looked very attractive and as the caption said "Power on toh India on"but wait minutes after the listing the caption changed into "'Power off, India off", yes the Reliance Power was short circuit on the very fast day of its listing leaving lacks of investors book heavy looses, and in fact many retail investors had gone to the extent of saying that they would never invest in a Reliance stock again.This was the of ADAG chairman after listing Hey but wait the investors can't be loosing money in Reliance Power after all its a ADAG Stock, this might be the thought going on the mind of ADAG, and maybe the stock might take a U-turn after the market Rumours of Reliance Power issuing bonus sh...
