When You?re Starting a Business, Don?t Let the Harpy on Your Shoulder Turn
2009-06-06 18:56:00 It’s so predictable it’s amusing. You start setting goals (from the inside out, of course) and you put a couple of lifelong wishes in action (your novel, your business) and what happens? You fire up the wrath of your inner critic, right? The limiting beliefs. The harpies. You finally manage to put in motion the the fabulous business idea you’ve been snarking about for months, and those pesky harpies jump up on your shoulder and tell you whatta snerdling you are. 2009-04-02 23:10:00 Updated 22 April 2009 List s are extremely popular among bloggers, not only because of the links you can get from being on those lists, but also because you can discover new sites you would’ve never heard of otherwise. Many of the blogs on this list I read regularly, but I found a lot of new blogs also. I’m a sucker for everything that has to do with personal development. So I had to join this project :) I’m not a big fan of lists though, in fact I asked to have my blogs ...Post from: Smart Wealthy Rich Thank you for subscribing! 2009-04-01 21:32:00 Updated 22 April 2009 with new feed links. Ok, first of all, here’s the Wikipedia definition of a RSS Feed (will open in a new window). An Rss feed is usually indicated by this standard icon: Now here’s the brief definition (for those of you who want to know right aways instead of reading the whole wikipedia document): Users of RSS content use programs called feed ‘readers’ or ‘aggregators’: the user ’subscribes’ to a feed by supplying to their reader a link to the feed; the reader can then check the user’s subscribed ...Post from: Smart Wealthy Rich Thank you for subscribing! How To Get 1261 RSS Subscribers In Less Than 3 Months
2007-10-23 11:02:00 Well, the goal was to get 1000 subscribers in the first month. Which would have been quite awesome, but it didn’t happen. Instead, it took 3 months to get 1261 RSS readers. Don’t get me wrong, I think this is pretty nice! :) Sometimes you gotta aim high, and then re-adjust. That’s what I did. So, since every single blogger out there has a post on how you can increase your RSS numbers, I thought I’d write one too (no “sure-fire ways” post here, just my personal experience)! :) How It All Started I launched FreelanceFolder at the end of July 07. The goals were: 1000 RSS Subs cribers in the first month Alexa Rank in the 70k range Technorati Rank around 15k At least 2000-2500 hits per day 30-60 posts/articles in the first month We almost made it, except for the RSS count part. Well, I’m quite happy! :) Writing Kick-Ass Posts What’s the number one reason someone subscribes to a feed? Some will say it’s a nice design, some will say i...
