AGLOCO - The Scam Revealed

There's been a lot of talk around the internet about whether or not AGLOCO is a scam - today I have the answer.My friend and I decided to do a bit of fishing around the AGLOCO website, and the files within, where we came across a couple interesting .txt files about five folders deep from the root directory. The files in question were "ip_logs.txt" and "paypal.txt". The file that really caught my eye was the "paypal.txt". Why would AGLOCO need such a file? AGLOCO is not paying its members via PayPal, so what could this be?I opened it, and made quite a startling discovery. "paypal.txt" was merely a list of member's emails and passwords. This may not seem very startling, but when you think that your paypal login is your email and password, and your AGLOCO login is your email and password, you can start to see what AGLOCO is all about. AuctionAds vs. Kontera Contentlink

A while ago I posted about some new ads on this blog, saying that if AuctionAds didn't start to show some earnings, they'd have to go. Now, I know that earnings don't come instantly; you have to wait to see some progress, but 11 days, 1534 impressions and 33 clicks later, my earnings are still at $0.00.On the other hand, the Kontera ContentLink ads are doing alright. They're the double-underlined links seen dotted around the site, and have been through 5 clicks and raised $0.96, which is about $0.19 a click. Although the CTR isn't as high as AuctionAds, I seem to be earning more.The banners seen around the posts are netting in a referral every now and then to the program advertised, so they'll stay as well. However, the AuctionAds will be replaced. With what? You decide. Comment with an advertisers program, and I'll give it a look.

A few days ago I made a post about Marketing Pond - a new tool by Valerie Underhill for referring AGLOCO members. At the time of that post, Valerie was setting up a forum on the site, for members to discuss the various programs used by Marketing Pond. Well, it's up and running now, but now as good as launch as I would've hoped for.When I first clicked the forum link on the left-hand sidebar, I instantly assumed that the email from Valerie was wrong, and that there wasn't a forum yet, for the link just led me to the same page it used to. I don't often check, but I was told that this blog doesn't display correctly when using Internet Explorer , but works fine using FireFox. I'm really getting tired of these blog errors.When viewed in IE, Dominate AGLOCO has no sidebar. Well, it does, you just have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see it, so it's as good as gone. I'm trying to get some more help on the issue, so if you'd like to help just leave a comment with what you think might be the problem. If you manage to fix it, you'll get your site or blog reviewed in the "blog's fixed" post, but only if you help via comment. Otherwise, you just get kudos.

New Ads - Auctions, In-text and Affiliate

There have recently been some new ads placed on the blog. Hopefully this will generate more income for the blog, and that new server will come quicker.The most recent additions are the MediaDollarz banners you see at the top of every post. I like MediaDollarz because there's no minimum payout, so once I've earned enough for the server, I can use it instantly. The banners are fairly new, only being released to the members a couple days ago. There are more banners, displaying Sony PS3's, iPod's, XBOX 360's, Nintendo Wii's, all of which you can earn on the site. I didn't choose one of those ads, because I thought it would look too much like all those iPod scams out there.A few days ago came Kontera In-Text advertising. If you're about the web a lot, no doubt you've encountered many forums, some of which you love, some of which you hate. Either way, they can be a great place to spread the word about AGLOCO, and grow your network.If you don't know what a forum is, you've got a lot of catching up to do. Basically, it's a site where a bunch of like-minded people talk about various topics, but usually specific ones (there are sports forums, motorbike forums, origami forums, etc). If you talk a lot, you'll get known in the community, and people will pay more attention to you. Some forums like MyLot pay you to post, giving you money through revenue sharing.I'm a "contributing" member of a couple large and small forums, so naturally I would post an ad about AGLOCO on them. For some reason though, it's a bit messy - it switches between xml and the FeedBurner page, and now it's starting to show the posts from first to last, instead of newest first. Hopefully when I hit "Publish" it should fix though. Site Updates and Future Plans

First of all, I'd like to point out that you can now access this site via both http://www.dominateagloco.com/ and http://dominateagloco.com/. There was an issue with the redirect and forwarding that I hadn't noticed, but it's all been cleared up now :)You may have noticed some new "New Server - xx.xx% there!" text on the right-hand sidebar. That's just that - I'm saving up for a server using Lunar Pages. The money earned from the ads goes straight towards this, and when it reaches 100%, I'll move the blog to the new server. There are a lot of ways to get traffic to your AGLOCO Splash Page ; telling your friends, putting it on your Business Card, or using traffic exchange sites. Traffic Exchange sites let you surf other sites for credit, and in return, other people will surf your site (for credit of their own). I use a lot of them routing to my splash page, and in this post I will give some information on each one - what you do, how good they are, etc.Although traffic exchanges can get you a lot of hits to your splash page, they're not necessarily quality hits.
