Close look at Mallicious, a newly launched deal site
2007-11-30 05:42:00 Mallicious is a new project by Scott Aikin, the entrepreneur I interviewed back in May who also runs a popular portal Hawkee for web developers to exchange code snippets. Mallicious has been in testing for some time but the official launch was just announced earlier this week. From the first glance, Mallicious looks like a ... Car charger for RAZR phone - $0.99 plus shippnig
2007-11-28 22:50:00 I don’t have a RAZR phone but this charger is a standard mini-USB format which works with many other phones (i.e. my t-Mobile Wing and my wife’s KRZR). You can get one right now from CellularFactory for $0.99 plus $3.99 shipping. The regular price is $7.99 but 7OFF code brings it down to $0.99 The description claims this is the original Motorola car charger which means the quality should be OK. Here is a BBB record for that company. Granted, not all rosy, but hey, this is just 5 bucks! Might well cancel the transaction with the credit card agency if there are issues. © ProBargainHunter.com, 2007 | Add to del.icio.us | Digg This | Permalink | No comment More About: Phone , Charger

Make money & win prizes during Buxr.com launch
2007-11-28 00:01:00 Buxr.com private beta (which I mentioned earlier this month) is going as planned. We have been testing the service on several blogs and websites and today I am happy to announce that Buxr.com will be officially opening doors to the public next Monday, December 3, 2007. Did I promise you a surprise? I don’t think I can say it better than Mike put it last night announcing the launch from Buxr blog: On December 3rd, we are going to throw a party, and all of you are invited. This is not your typical party because at our party you will have the opportunity to make money and win prizes. At Buxr.com we’ve stashed away some of our hard earned cash and skipped a few essential meals so we could offer publishers over $500 in prizes! Sounds intriguing? Visit Buxr.com next Monday and find out what we have prepared for you. I hope you will not be disappointed! © ProBargainHunter.com, 2007 | Add to del.icio.us | Digg This | Permalink | No comment More About: Money , Make Money , Prizes , Launch , Make

Name your favorite deal site - update
2007-11-27 08:12:00 The blog post I made last Sunday has turned into a competition between a few popular deal sites. I don’t want to name anyone in particular but looking at emails people used in the comments, it is clear that the websites’ employees are involved as well. Oh well, I can’t really prevent this and the only way to combat the issue is to have a broader participation in the poll. So far 96 people voted. If you have a favorite deal site, make your voice heard! Current standings (top 5) dealtaker.com - 28 votes dealnews.com - 26 votes slickdeals.net - 19 votes fatwallet.com - 12 votes dealigg.com - 2 votes Click here to vote! © ProBargainHunter.com, 2007 | Add to del.icio.us | Digg This | Permalink | 8 comments More About: Site , Update , Deal , Favorite , Favor
The hard disk you have been waiting for
2007-11-27 01:25:00 Update 11/27: the deal has expired Newegg has a 1 TB internal hard drive from Western Digital currently for $269.99. The price goes down by $30 when promotion code PPAL1126HDD03 is applied. Pay with Paypal and you will get 20% cash back, thanks to this Paypal promotion. This brings the price down to $192 shipped, or $0.19 per GB. Pros: One terabyte of storage and 16 MB of cache along with WD reliability and the three year warranty; all at an unheard-of price per gigabyte. Cons: Not 7200 rpm (however, at this size, that’s more of a quibble than a real con). I wonder how long it will take for this 1 TB technological marvel at this great price to start looking just like this 10 MB “dinosaur” for $3398 on the picture below (found via Digg). © ProBargainHunter.com, 2007 | Add to del.icio.us | Digg This | Permalink | 4 comments More About: Disk , Hard , Hard Disk , Waiting

Check your VIN number, are you driving a bargain?
2007-11-13 20:53:00 The last 6 digits of your car’s VIN are a production sequence number, or serial number.
