Hidden files not being displayed

Sometimes hidden files(in Windows) do not get displayed even though you unhide them.Further when you check again in the View tab of folder options its again showing up dont show hidden files!If this is the problem,the solution to this problem is given below:Go to registry editor by running regedit in the run box.Go to this key:HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWin dowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvancedIn the right hand area, double click hidden and change the value to 1.If still having trouble, then this will fix it:1. 160GB becomes 268GB

The title is not a spelling mistake!! A few days back when I formatted my system with Windows XP, Disk Management showed my 160GB harddisk as 268GB. See the image below.The harddisk had around 128GB of NTFS partitions which are recognized by XP itself (shown inside the red box on top of the image). The remaining space had Linux in it which Windows does not recognise. This was how the hardisk was partitioned.But at the bottom, the image clearly shows 268.79GB harddisk space, with 59.66GB of free space and 80.69GB of unallocated space !!!I still did not understand why this problem occured and I think the OS was not properly installed. When I reinstalled the OS again, everything was normal as shown below. (Linux was removed)

More pictures below.It is said that there are 8 dual-core Opterons in the server, with a clock speed of about 2.8GHz each. You can edit the Start button text in different ways.Some use readymade softwares but I don't recommend them. The most popular method is to use a hex editor.
