As January is slowly crawling towards its end AMD's planned release of more HD 3000 series cards is closing in and the pictures are starting to pop up everywhere.The Radeon HD 3650 is a lower-mid-range card powered by the 55nm-built RV635 chip which is set to be the replacement of the HD 2600 XT. Boasting 120 Stream Processors, the 3650 will retail at just under $100 and will have 256MB of GDDR3 memory. There's also some screenshots of Radeon HD 3690 card from Triplex.Featuring a dual-slot cooler, the card has 256MB of GDDR3 memory but is equipped with a (crippled) RV670 chip which has 320 Stream Processors but only a 128-bit memory interface. Tom's hardware Taiwan has managed to score some detailed information about the upcoming GeForce 9500 GT from Nvidia and it doesn't look as promising as its 9600 GT sibling.The GPU itself seems to be going under the G96-300 name and it's using the P616 refence PCB. The card they looked at had the GPU clocked at 650MHz with the Shaders at 1,650MHz.The refence cards come with 256MB of 128-bit DDR2 memory and we can understand why Nvidia went down this route, as DDR2 graphics memory is currently selling for less than cost from some manufacturers. The memory is clocked at 900MHz on the refence cards, but this doesn't mean that this is what we'll see on final production models. According to Digitimes Intel has recently released details of its Shelton'08-based low-cost notebook platform (Basic Platform ) to partners and has set the launch schedule for the third quarter this year.The platform adopts Intel's single-core Diamondville CPU with a core frequency of 1.6GHz, 533MHz FSB and power consumption of 3.5W. The platform's total power consumption is around 8W, translating to battery usage time of between 3-4 hours.The platform also consist of a 945GSE chipset, which includes built-in DirectX 9 graphics and supports single channel DDR2 memory.
