Call Wireless With Skype VoIP
2007-12-03 10:17:00
I really use Skype very often to call for free with my friends and business partners local and long distance. But what annoy me is that I used to need my headset and I could't leave my PC. I own a wireless headset from Sennheiser which I bought a long time ago to hear my favorite music but i've not used it for many years because the accu was no more working. So I bought 3 new one on Ebay for some bucks. And now I hear to videos and audios I download from the Internet when I'm leaving my office and go into the kitchen, bath or into my garden. But this didn't helped me with my Skype calls. Than I bought a bluetooth wireless USB adapter and plugged it into my pc, installed the driver and connected it to a microphone. Now I have a really cheap wireless solution to talk via Skype with my friends and don't need to sit in front of my pc all the time.

VoIP sends the packets of digitalized data through networks using TCP/IP protocol. 2007-11-23 16:45:00
Experts showed with a special program how easy it is for criminals to eavesdrop VoIP-based phone calls. With a software e.g. SIPtap multiple VoIP call streams are monitored, and recording for remote inspection. Criminal would only need be to infect a PC inside a network with a Trojan including these functions. The program can track voip calls by caller and by recipient, and even by date. With such a program organised crime could steal confidential data from governments, companies, and even the police. "We are in the early days of VoIP, but there is a knowledge gap," said VoIP consultat Cox, complaining the naivety about VoIP's inherent security weaknesses. "Companies using VoIP internally think they are protected." "The threat is that an attacker engineers a Trojan and has it sit there passively [on a network], recording calls from anywhere on the Internet," says Cox. His advice was simple. "Apply the same vigour when building a VoIP network you would when building a website." SIP...
