Hi Friends, I was thinking that why Boot Menu doesnot apperas automaticallly i.e Windows does not display the boot menu normally unless a key is pressed during bootup (F8 for Windows 95 or CTRL for 98/Me). The boot menu allows you to selectively boot Windows in different modes, including Safe Mode and Command Prompt Mode. So For doing that (boot menu will show automatically) follow this tutorial:- Change the attributes for MSDOS.SYS so it is not ‘Read Only’, MSDOS.SYS is found in the root directory of your C: drive. Open the file using Notepad or another text editor (not Microsoft Word or any word processor). Change the value of ‘BootMenu=’ to ‘BootMenu=1′ for enabled or ‘BootMenu=0′ for disabled. So here we go: 1st Method: The first thing which you check if you forget login password. When we install Windows, it automatically creates an account “Administrator ” and sets its password to blank. So if you have forget your user account password then try this: Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press <ctrl>+<alt>+<del> keys twice and it’ll show Classic Login box. I dont know if this would be of any interest but thought to share it with you all anyhow. Ripping audio i.e MP3 or Wav is not that difficult, loads of applications available, but yes ripping the Dolby 5.1 Track sometimes can be tricky particularly with virtual Dub. And yes an audio music track on 5.1 Dolby does sound amazing. Remember the days of 95 and 98 saying, “It’s now safe to Shutdown ”, well now you can do it with XP too. Go to Start, Run, and type regedit. Go to Path HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel and click on Desktop. Under name on the right side you should see HungAppTimeout. Double click on it and change the value too 1. Exit regedit and click Turnoff. It should now say “It’s now safe to Shutdown”. The default speed of the Start Menu is pretty slow, but you can fix that by editing a Registry Key. Fire up the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER Control Panel Desktop MenuShowDelay By default, the value is 400. Change this to a smaller value, such as 0, to speed it up. If this doesn’t work for some reason, then you might try the following: Navigate to Display Properties then Appearance then Effects and turn off the option titled Show menu shadow. You will get much better overall performance.
