Shoaib Akhtar Banned for five years from pakistani cricket
2008-04-01 21:01:00 Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, 32, has been banned for five years by a disciplinary committee of the PCB for violating the players' code of conduct. The ban extends to cricket for and in Pakistan but will leave him free to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL), which begins later this month. Legspinner Danish Kaneria, also charged with criticising the PCB, was let off with a severe reprimand as it was his first offence. Shoaib had appeared before a disciplinary committee in February after being charged with publicly criticising the Pakistan board for offering him a retainership instead of a contract. The board had offered contracts to 15 players, based on a formula that took into account their performance, but Shoaib was demoted to a retainership from the Category A contract he held last year. "The board has lost confidence in Shoaib Akhtar and therefore felt his presence in the field was damaging to the Pakistan team, for Pakistan players and for the i... Elections 2008 - Islamophobia in the Presidential Elections
2008-03-10 04:16:00 Forty-five percent of Americans would not want a Muslim president, according to a poll conducted by the Pew Research Center in August 2007. That compares to 25 percent who said they would be less likely to vote for a Mormon candidate and 11 percent who would be less likely to vote for a Jew. Islamophobia is fueling the politics of fear in the presidential campaigns. Some candidates have made bigoted comments that would never be made against any other group. According to Jack Levin, a hate-speech expert at Northeastern University in Boston, as reported in the Christian Science Monitor, today's anti-Muslim sentiment is similar to American attitudes toward Japanese-Americans during World War II. Rudy Giuliani While Rudy Giuliani's campaign has been swift in letting go a volunteer in New Hampshire for calling Muslims "madmen" who need to be "chased back to their caves," the campaign has so far failed to fire a well-known Islamophobe, Daniel Pipes. Learn Quran Arabic
2008-03-09 22:12:00 I will be blogging about a series of lectures from Ata-ur-Rehman Saqib (Shaheed) to learn Quran Arabic . His book "Taseerul Quran" has been widely acclaimed as an excellent guide to learn Quran Arabic. In "Taseerul Quran", Arabic grammar is taught in such a way that we can not only understand Arabic in a simple, meaningful and practical way - but we will also learn Quran as well, because most of the examples used in the lectures are from the Quran itself. Being Muslims, it is our basic responsibility to at least understand divine guidance of Allah in its actual language to have some clear understanding of the "Huda" it provides. First lecture (you can download its MP3 below) discuss the very basics of Arabic grammar. That includes Kalima, Ism, Fay'el and Harf. Also, there is some discussion on the rules through which we can identify Ism. Please listen to it and begin your steps towards REAL SUCCESS here and hereafter! Dow... More About: Learn

Certificate Services installation Guide....
2008-03-09 10:35:00 In this tutorial we will setup Certificate Services on a Windows 2003 server. I am going to use the same server as I did with the Active Directory; Windows 2003 walkthrough, so my installation will be with an already completed Active Directory Domain. If you do not have Active Directory, I recommend you do before using Certificate Services, as they do like working hand-in-hand. First, let’s load up our server and login as the Administrator. When we are at the desktop, let’s to go Start -> Settings -> Control Panel then open ‘Add / Remove Programs’. On you’re left click on ‘Add / Remove Windows Components’. When it is fully loaded, find ‘Certificate Services’ in the list and check the checkbox next to it. A pop-up dialog will come up informing you that you cannot change the name of the machine and such when you have become an Certificate Authority, so click ‘Yes’ then click ‘Next&rsq... Active Directory Installation guide..
2008-03-09 10:32:00 In this guide, we will begin with a non-existent domain and end with a new Active Directory installation, in its own forest. Along with Active Directory we will also configure DNS (Which is required by Active Directory) on the same machine. Get a machine that is somewhat powerful, when I say somewhat, it can be a lonely PIII 800MHz if you so wish it. I would have at least 512MB of memory in it, a 10/100 Network card, CD-ROM, and I would give it at least a 30GB hard drive. The more features you add (different walkthroughs) the more space you will need. Grab your copy of Windows 2003 and boot from the CD, install Windows 2003 like any other version of Windows XP you have installed before. When Windows is installed, load all your necessary drivers (video, LAN, motherboard, and others if needed). Close the Configure Your Server Wizard. We will be doing this the manual way, so we have more options. First, assign this server a static IP address. This can be found by going to Sta... More About: How To , Guide

using Airsnort in Windows xp !!!
2008-03-09 10:20:00 I have seen lots of sites around the internet that tell people that it is possible to run Airsnort in a Windows enviroment. If you don't know, Airsnort is a wireless network sniffer. It can sniff wireless traffic, and if the signal is using WEP, Airsnort can take a shot at cracking the WEP key and showing you the key. This is not easy of course, and it will take a VERY long time. The time is more dependent on how much wireless traffic that network is creating, makeing more packets, and thus making cracking the WEP keys chances more possible. First, you will need a supported wireless card, so before we begin, if your card is NOT on this list, give up now, or go out and find a card on the list. I cannot guarentee that any will work for you. The card that I use is an Orinoco Classic Gold PC Card from Agere Systems. It is an B '11MBPS' only card, so I use it mainly for snooping around. Gmail little known feature
2008-03-07 05:00:00 Do you know that Gmail ignores dot (.) in email addresses? For example, waqas.ahmad@gmail.com and waqasahmad@gmail.com belong to the same gmail inbox. Infact all dots are ignored. So waqas.ahmad@gmail.com, waqasahmad@gmail.com and w.q.a.s.a.h.m.a.d@gmail.com are all same as far as Gmail is concerned. Also, you can apend a plus ("+") sign and any combination of words or numbers after your email address. For example, if your name was waqasahmad@gmail.com, you could send mail to waqasahmad+friends@gmail.com or waqasahmad+mailinglists@gmail.com and it will come to your gmail inbox. Now imagine, you can use this feature to auto-filter your emails to filter on your email address variants. For example, you could use waqas+bank@gmail.com when you sign up for online banking and then set up a filter to automatically star, archive or label emails addressed to waqasahmad+bank. bookmarks and browsing history with project Weave ( For FireFox)
More articles from this author:2008-03-06 06:53:00 Mozilla's exciting new add-on to Mozilla's popular browser Firefox called Weave in its infancy, the service plans to be a way for users to save and access their personal browsing information across multiple machines. It's a little bit like google web history, and a Web password saver all wrapped up into one. Some use cases for Weave include: accessing your history and bookmarks from your home version of Firefox on your mobile Firefox browser, shared/collaborative bookmarking, and personalization tools to let you log in and sync up your home bookmarks, plug-ins and passwords on another machine; all things that are typically a pain unless you're technically proficient or know how to plan ahead. Weave version0.1 , which Mozilla's Labs team rolled out a few weeks back, lays the foundation for Web developers to add Weave integration into their services. It's limited to some very basic back-end tools for developers, although version 0.2 which is planned ... More About: History , Project , Browsing , Bookmarks 1, 2, 3, 4 |
