Two sides to the coin

Over at MexFiles, it’s written on a different angle to the whole Dog vs. Mexico.  I have written before that yes, Dog broke Mexican law - arrested a very bad man - so now what?  I think, trying to find a middle ground was necessary… it’s not going to please everyone. Is Dog Free and Clear?

It’s been reported by TMZ.com that Dog may not be completely free and clear of the charges in Mexico.  What a rollercoaster ride this has been for the Chapman family. While all charges against Duane “Dog” Chapman have been dropped, A&E has learned that an appeal was filed by the prosecution, trying to overturn the lower court’s decision. But don’t fret — A&E says that in Mexico these appeals are just a matter of principle. Arriba! A&E, which broadcasts “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” tells TMZ, “Our thoughts and best wishes are with the Chapman family as they await the outcome of the appeal, which could take many months.” Until then, boycott Mexico.  I suppose it will be completely up to you whether or not you decide to boycott Mexico in support of Duane “Dog” Chapman, but I think our prayers should go to him and his family and the American government should put a bit of pressure on so it doesn’t t...

You know, surfing the web I find so many interesting things about Dog the Bounty Hunter and what they inspire in people. Over in Concord, N.C. this is what’s happening: CONCORD, N.C. — This weekend at Pocono Raceway the No. 16 Ford Fusion will have a new look to it as Greg Biffle debuts a special Dish Network/Dog the Bounty Hunter paint scheme. “Dog the Bounty Hunter” is a television show on A & E, a partner of Dish Network. Beginning Tuesday, August 7th at 9:00 p.m. on A & E there will be a special “Dog Days of Summer” series of episodes featuring Duane “Dog” Chapman - the world’s most famous bounty hunter - and his posse. If you’re out at the speedway… and you see this car - take a picture or two and send it my way! I was surfing the ‘Net and found this interesting tidbit from Leland Chapman Online: Season 4 of the hit A&E series, DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER, is heating up in August with a special programming event called Dog Days of Summer . DOG DAYS OF SUMMER, includes a viewers’ choice marathon on Monday, August 13 from 9PM – 11PM EST, an all day Dog the Bounty Hunter marathon on Tuesday, August 14, from 8:00AM – 9:00PM EST, the cornerstone special A Man Called Dog airing Tuesday, August 14th at 9PM EST, as well as Dog The Bounty Hunter premieres throughout the month. Looks like it should be an interesting August… getting pretty hot in here… isn’t it!  I’m looking forward to watching the “A Man Called Dog” episode… I wonder if that’s the same one they were filming in Denver a while back, his “Dog-ography”? Dog is Free and everyone is all over it!

As I told you yesterday, Duane “Dog” Chapman, Tim, and Leland are no longer wanted by the Mexican authorities. It came as quite a shock to Duane and you can see it in action at TMZ.com Our tough man, broke down - and rightly so - it’s been a long struggle and he deserves it. Check out the video here I am so happy that Dog doesn’t have to face any crap from this case. I’m happy for him, his family, Tim and Leland - really happy they’re ok - they don’t have to go to court in Mexico. They don’t have to face any time in their prison system. I’m just happy it’s ended the way it has. I just found this article from the To the Right website and they’re saying they’ve heard word from Fox News that Dog the Bounty Hunter has been awarded his freedom from an appellate court in Guadalajara, Mexico. Word comes from a close friend of U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo (who had been petitioning for Duane Dog Chapman). Chapman was arrested and faced extradition to and a long prison term in Mexico after he captured Max Factor heir and convicted rapist Andrew Luster when no one else could or would. In his decision, the Mexican appellate-court judge ruled the anti-bounty-hunting law Dog was charged with violating had a statute of limitations that had lapsed, meaning Dog could not be prosecuted. Wow… talk about ANOTHER bounty hunter show: She’s been a porn star, a wrestler, a soccer mom and now she wants to collect the price on your head. Bounty hunter Sandra Scott has built up a following for her weekly reality TV show “Wife, Mom, Bounty Hunt er ” on the Women’s Entertainment channel. Bounty Hunter Captures Colorado Springs Fugitive

A little over a month ago in Colorado Springs, Dog the Bounty Hunt er and his wife Beth captured a woman who was once a vice president of a bank, and who’s life was turned upside-down due to an addiction to methamphetamine.   That is a truly evil drug, and it can ruin anyone’s life. Their most recent capture: 32-year-old Melissa Lucero, also known as Melissa O’Hara. Lucero faced charges of forgery and theft in the past. … out of 100 men polled on what they fear the most…. Dog the Bounty Hunter came in at number 1.  Over at Co-Ed Magazine they did a little poll with 100 random men on the street about what they feared… I’m surprised! Here’s their top 5: Dog the Bounty Hunter Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Gregory Peck AID’s Tank tops Honestly… when Tank Tops reach into the souls of men and make them fear for all… I have to say I’m concerned.  It could be a fashion thing as the article at Co-Ed Magazine continues on about… but DAMN… LOL.  I thought it was just us women who had those sorts of fears I’d be curious to see what the other 5 fears were (since it was a Top 10 list).  But it just seems weird that Gregory Peck was in there… I mean… why??? Whether it’s a serious poll or not - it’s up to you to decide.

Memorial Website to Barbara Katie Chapman

I’m never really certain if these sort of things are real when it comes to looking at information on MySpace.com - whether or not it’s real, there is some really good information about Barbara Katie Chapman and her life with some photos that have been added by Baby Lyssa Chapman and a memorial written by Barbara Katie’s mother, Lyssa Chapman. Barbara-Katie Chapman was tragically killed in a car accident on May 19, 2006 near Fairbanks. She would have been 24 years old on June 8. Daughter of Duane “Dog” Chapman and Lyssa Chapman. Sister to Baby Lyssa and Tucker. Proud mother of Travis Drake-Lee Mimms. Passed away May 19th, 2006 near Fairbanks, Alaska. Twenty-three years young. May she rest in peace. B-K’s nickname is Fairydust It is heart-breaking to see someone die so young, with hopes and dreams… all gone in an instant. Now I think this sort of thing is pretty cool… the whole Six Degree s of seperation.  Check this out over at Jeff’s blog on MySpace. k, so my favorite TV show is, of course, Dog. It’s shot in Hawaii, etc. Anyway, I have a buddy stationed over there for the Army. His wife runs a shoe store……That Dog’s wife Beth was in on Tuesday night!!!! HOLY SHIT! I know somebody who knows Beth, who’s married to Dog. That makes me like, 2 degrees from Dog the Bounty Hunt er ! HOLY SHIT! THAT’S AWESOME!!! That means that because you all know me, you are 3 degress from Dog! I also think that Beth’s autograph has been sent my direction as well, which is BAD ASS!!!! Duane Chapman is one cool Guy

Over at a Lycos forum in the UK, Spectre25 asks the question: Dwain Chapman ’s (Dog the bounty hunter) the man, a good lad. What do you think I think he’s “top drawer”.  I guess I wouldn’t have this site if I didn’t think Duane Chapman wasn’t a good guy.  Duane has overcome so much in his life - that’s inspiration all on it’s own.  But being a bounty hunter, with his family by his side, they’ve taken it to a whole new level.  Duane Chapman can come across as a major hard-ass to the fugitives he is working on capturing.  When Duane captures the fugitives it’s almost like a 180 in his thoughts.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel.  The fugitive has to take the opportunity given to them to turn their lives around.  He doesn’t want to see them back on his list of wanted fugitives.  He wants to see reform. NBC is getting more “real”

Well, I’m not really sure what the article over at Variety meant.  I suppose I’ll have to read it again, but from what I understood, is with the popularity of Dog the Bounty Hunter and other reality based TV shows, it looks like NBC is looking to stake a claim on it as well. I have heard that NBC is faultering a bit in their programming and things aren’t looking to peachy for the network.  They’ve developed Peacock Prods for their reality end of things and I do believe Dateline is under that division now. No, not overly exciting news - but I’m really amused that reality TV has taken off the way it has.  A&E TV has really kicked the networks in the butt with that - I totally loved Family Plots when it came out and then Dog the Bounty Hunter, Growing up Gotti, Gene Simmon’s Family Jewels, Intervention, King of Cars and I am really  into Miami Ink (over on TLC) and those sort of shows keep me coming back. If you’ve been following along on my adventure in why I was booted from the Duane Chapman Forum - well, I just sent an email to the address that Kris sent along.  I was having no luck finding any email addresses for the site - outside of the forum itself.  So if there were any contacts… I couldn’t get to them. I’ve also had feedback on the site over there and it’s not been overly glowing.  I’m not sure I even really want to pursue this.  But I’m a curious person and want to know why?  Give me a reason. Over at allright.prweblogs.com PRWeb spotted Dog the Bounty Hunter at the Chelsea hotel.  That must have been quite the sighting. It’s really nice to see that the comments about Dog are often very similar.  Check out the look - he’s so unique - and there is an admiration for Dog the Bounty Hunter, because Duane Chapman has pulled himself out of a very dark place to turn his life around and with the support of his wife Beth Chapman, you’ve got a great team - which spilled over onto their family. Dog and Beth Profile

As I’m always on the lookout for - is new info about Dog and Beth Chapman.  I want to know “more” - not every intimate detail, but more about where they came from - just “how bad” was it.  Because they hint about it, and Dog goes into some detail about his youth, but you just have a feeling that it wasn’t great, but now they’ve turned their lives around and look at them now. Law, justice and family are very important to them. I came across a Dog the Bounty Hunter fan site over at MySpace that gave a bit of a bio background to Dog and Beth Chapman.  It didn’t really seem to give much more detail to their lives - than what I’ve managed to gather here on this site, but it’s worth a look - so go check out Dog the Bounty Hunter fan on MySpace

As I was parusing through my RSS feeds and all that awesome email - that I’m trying to catch up on I found a little gem of a thread on Dog the Bounty Hunter and the Show. Over at MaddenBoard they’ve got a thread going on, and the opinions of members of MaddenBoard about the show Dog the Bounty Hunter. I like what “holyjabroni73″ had to say about Dog and the family: I like watching the show as well. Pretty wild how people portray him as such a bad *** and then you watch the show and hes a good dude to those people. Most people in that line of work I have heard are major Pains in the rear. I love it when they are always pranking on each other on their birthdays and such. It is a really cool thing to see the family work so hard together, see the light at the end of a dark tunnel for the criminals that they catch and still break free of the job and have a little fun with each other.  That’s what family is about.

StrollerDerby and Dog the Bounty Hunter

A few days ago I came across this article about Dog the Bounty Hunter and is wife Beth and the whole show in general over at Stroller Derby.  The author CryitOut wrote, what I think is one of the best stories on why to start lovin’ the show Dog the Bounty Hunter . Seriously, the article has it pegged.  The author was on the lookout for something to replace a favourite TV show that had ended and low-and-behold the TV Show Dog the Bounty Hunter replaced it.  The trigger moment was when Dog the Bounty Hunter made an appearance on My Name is Earl - and the author knew it was the show to start watching. I had to post a comment on the article over at StrollerDerby.  It just hit me, in the same way - to start watching them put away the fugitives, to turn lives around, to have turned their own lives around.  It’s a pretty powerful show - with the bonus of tattoos, mullets, and great Dogisms!

Adam Cayton Holland had an interesting write up about Dog the Bounty Hunter in the Denver WestWord News. It’s got some strong language - so you may or may not want to read on about what Adam unfurls on this page. I enjoyed reading it… it definitely takes a differenet sort of view towards Duane Dog Chapman, Beth Chapman and the bounty hunter crew. I’m also including the video (the link was provided in the article) on Duane Dog Chapman’s fight against the Meth in Hawaii.

I was denied at Dog Board

Wow. Ok. I don’t check my email often enough I guess, but I recieved an email from Dog Board - the “original” duane chapman fan forum. A little while back I’d signed up to view and comment on the site - thinking, since I’m a fan - that this would be great way to introduce myself and this site. Maybe rangle a few people into coming to see what was here. We’re fans right? Well I didn’t get past signing up and on June 12th I got this email: Our staff has opted not to approve your account, and therefore it has been removed. That was it. Nothing more said. I was not approved. Now with that explaination I’m left wondering why I was denied. So I’m going email and see why. This is what I’m thinking: I wasn’t “active” enough on the board. Figuring that this website had made it’s name with a law site - maybe there’s something to it.
