What do you make of this?
2008-04-01 17:19:00 I’m not even sure what this is about - so I’ll let you take a look at it. It’s something to do with Dog the Bounty Hunter being a fake Christian?! Here’s an excerpt: “Today, I would like to talk about those fake Christians, looking for fame and glory by using Christianity as a way of obtaining celebrity status or success. I must admit that I was an occasional Dog, the bounty hunter fan. My sole purpose for watching was to see the difference that Duane & Beth Chapman would make in the lives of those they would capture. I enjoyed those moments of compassion that gave a wonderful ending to each of their shows. Now, I am left to wonder who’s bright idea it was to use God in such a way. A&E or Duane “Dog” Chapman ?” Seriously I’m trying to wrap my head around the article… it was a bit bizarre. Maybe it’s fit for an April Fool’s joke? More About: Make

One swift kick in the ass
2008-03-31 08:06:00 Over at Roanoke.com they’ve written an article that says “This Dog’s day has come and gone” - it’s not a pretty article about Dog the Bounty Hunter and I guess I’m wondering why I’m posting it. I guess I want to be able to take into account that not everyone likes him. Maybe they’ve got a few points there you may not agree with. Check out what Ben Beagle has to say… do you agree? When Dog used wrong to make right
2008-03-30 07:56:00 At Lubbock Online they’ve got a really good article about Duane Chapman and how he got started on the wrong side of the law and with a twist of fate turned his life around to start doing better after his arrest in 1976. An exerpt from the Lubbock online article: Duane Chapman was just a skinny kid when he lived in Pampa in the 1970s. Now he’s cable television’s “Dog the Bounty Hunter” and rounds up bail-jumping criminals on the A&E Network. Chapman, who operates a bail bond business in Hawaii, styles himself a man once on the wrong side of the law who became a Christian family man, bail bondsman and bounty hunter who puts the bad guys away. His persona is larger-than-life and expressive, rough around the edges but golden at heart. I really enjoy reading about Duane Chapman and how he started out. What we see on television is a man who’s made a name for himself. A man who’s turned his life around, and as they say is still a bit... More About: Make , Wrong
Stoking an Emotional Fire
2008-03-29 06:53:00 With everything that’s happened with Duane Dog Chapman and his racially explicit conversation he had with his son Tucker, it has certainly made people take notice and speak up on the subject. Over at lv_nighthawk he writes about what’s happened and writes with great emotion on the subject. Might be worth a look and maybe drop a line or two his way to let him know how you feel. Make a Wish child meets Dog the Bounty Hunter
2008-03-28 06:41:00 Jokin (seated) and his family meet Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth. JUST recently, the Make -A-Wish Foundation granted its 165th wish to 15-year-old Jokin, whose wish was to go to Hawaii. When the foundation asked Jokin what he wanted to do while in Hawaii, he said he wanted to visit with relatives and hopefully meet Dog the Bounty Hunter . Through the foundation’s partnerships with Continental Airlines and the Hawaii chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Jokin and his parents were off to Hawaii for a week full of activities and surprises. Dog is a very busy man and the business he runs doesn’t leave a lot of opportunity open to meet and greet his fans. But in this instance he was there and that says a lot about who Dog Chapman is. The article goes on to say that Dog went out of his way to make Jokin’s wish come true. This is one of those articles that really makes you think really positive thoughts. Bounty Hunters need more training
2008-03-26 06:34:00 Over at KXLY they’re reporting that more training is needed for Bounty Hunters . In Washington state, a bill has been passed where more training is necessary for the very dangerous job of being a bounty hunter. But the problem is that many of the agents simply lack training. Right now, recovery agents can get a license after four hours of training. The new law would require a minimum of 32 hours. Agents would also have to report directly to the Department of Licensing every time they enter a home by force. Washington state Bail Bonds manager Thomas Dixon supports the new law, saying he’s seen agents in the past disregard the rules to look for defendants. Thomas Dixon says more training, which includes civil and criminal law review, custody and transportation issues, firearm training, and exercising real-life scenarios, is needed. I’m glad that they’re putting this in place - not only will it help those who decide to become bail bondsmen and women - an... More About: Training

There has been a bit of Obama floating around…
2008-03-24 06:19:00 Over the past couple of days I’ve really noticed “Barack Obama ” and “Dog the Bounty Hunter” being used in the same sentence. I’m thinking I’ve missed something. This is another article I’ve found with both people written into the article. I guess from what I’ve read (I’ll admit…skimmed) it’s about being Black in America and how people relate to it… or don’t relate to it. I’m just finding it interesting that Dog the Bounty Hunter has found his way into all this controversy and conversation because of his foul up over the conversation with his son. More About: Floating
A fish called Dog the Bounty Hunter
2008-03-22 06:11:00 Ok, with everything that’s been going on with Dog the Bounty Hunter and his family - this story made me laugh out loud. Wendy writes about the 3 new fish added to her fish tank and their names… You guessed it… fish #3 has been dubbed “Dog the Bounty Hunter ” because, “Oh Lord… He swears one of the calico fish’s fin & tail look like a mullet, making the fish look like Dog the Bounty Hunter. Umm… okay dear… whatever you say…” Seriously… we all need a bit of a laugh - and this was a moment for me. More About: Fish , The Bounty

The Dog is Back!
2008-02-22 07:45:00 I think this has to be one of the happiest days yet! Dog the Bounty Hunter is going to be back on the air at A&E. On February 19th, 2008 TMZ got word that Dog the Bounty Hunter is going to be back on the air. According to TMZ, a network offical confirmed that the show is going back into production! Starting as soon as possible, in Hawaii the crew is gearing up for a new season. In case you’ve not heard, A&E had suspended the show indefinitely due to the racial slurs that were recorded by Duane’s son Tucker about Tucker’s girlfriend, who happened to be black. “We’re told network execs were “very pleased” with Dog’s attempt to make amends and his reaching out to members of the African American community.” After the tape surfaced Duane Chapman immediately began a tour of forgiveness, working with CORE and other groups to promote racial equality. “A&E isn’t just making this decision out of the goodnes... Dog Chapman Episode Features as the ‘Godfather of Waikiki’ the
2008-02-04 21:21:00 Over at the Hawaii Reporter they’ve got an article about an episode from Dog the Bounty Hunter that took place in 2004 that now seems to bind them with the recent death of murdered toddler Cyrus Belt. From the Editor’s note on the article: Editor’s note: The Hawaii-based television show, “Dog, The Bounty Hunter,” featured on Sept. 28, 2004, the grandfather of 23-month-old Cyrus Belt - Lilo Asiata - as the “Godfather of Waikiki.” To give you a little background on the situation: Cyrus was thrown from an H-1 Freeway overpass to his death last week by his neighbor Matthew Higa who is reportedly a mentally ill drug addict. Both Cyrus’ grandfather, featured in this show, and his mother, have admitted to Crystal Meth addictions. The article goes into great detail, and I’ll leave you with the link if you want to check it out. It’s such a sad story about little Cyrus… and how strange that such a tragic story is inter-twined... Duane Chapman interview with Greta Van Susteren
2008-02-03 22:15:00 Over at FoxNews they’ve got an interview between Greta Van Susteren and Duane “Dog” Chapman . As of this post, the edit for the transcript was a bit rushed. So it may still not be in it’s final form and updates will occur. The interview was about the manhunt to Mexico to apprehend Marine Cesar Laurean. They wanted Duane’s views on how to capture Marine, since Dog got into a lot of hot water with his manhunt in 2003. More About: Interview , Duane Chapman
E!Online dishes more info on Dog and his Mexican Release
2008-02-02 22:10:00 E!Online reports a bit more about the Mexican judicial system coming down with their ruling on not extraditing Duane Chapman to Mexico to face charges about the 2003 case with Andrew Luster. You can read their article here. A little snippet of what Duane had to say when he heard the ruling in his favor: “We are ecstatic that this nightmare is finally over and happy to see the Mexican justice system works,” the 54-year-old Dog the Bounty Hunter star and his wife, Beth, said in a statement. “We can all now move forward.” Seriously I have to say - with everything that’s been happening to the Chapmans since everything fell apart last year, it’s nice to hear. Deadly Viper asks you…
2008-02-01 22:08:00 … Should A&E bring back Dog the Bounty Hunter to primetime? I love to find these sorts of blogs, where they’re looking around the Internet and find some great information about Dog the Bounty Hunter. Word on the street is…
2008-02-01 07:05:00 … Duane Chapman will not and can not be extradited to Mexico to face criminal charges in his the case about the serial rapist and fugitive Andrew Luster in 2003, according to a three-judge panel in Mexico … Where was I? I thought this was a done deal months ago? Well, apparently I’ve been napping, over at Incase you didn’t know they’ve reported the following: The unanimous ruling was handed down Tuesday. The TV bounty hunter, his son Leland Chapman and associate Tim Chapman faced being sent to the resort town of Puerto Vallarta, where they captured Luster, who had jumped a $1 million bond on charges that he drugged and raped three women.“He’s a free man,” Chapman’s San Francisco-based attorney, James A. Quadra, said in a telephone interview late Tuesday. “They can’t reinstate any criminal charges and as a result of that, there’s no basis for them to then seek extradition.” … a glimmer of happy news for the Chapman family. 2008-01-13 08:47:00 Apparently it’s everywhere… and there are some more details about the case against Tim Chapman : His attorney, Brook Hart, says, “It was simply a man who wet his pants with orange juice inadvertently and was changing them, doing nothing wrong at all and believing he had sufficient privacy to do it.” Police are currently investigating the incident to decide whether or not to charge the 42-year-old. I’ll keep you posted as the events arrive on the scene.
Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Star Attends Pow Wow in Honolulu
2008-01-12 08:40:00 It looks like Dog is getting in touch with his Native American roots. Duane Chapman and his family took part in the American Indian Pow Wow Association’s 33rd Annual Intertribal Pow Wow at Thomas Square in Honolulu . The event, hosted by Jason Good Striker, took place on October 6 and 7, kicking off at 10am and concluding at 5pm. This year, the Pow Wow’s theme was “Honoring Our Native Veterans,” and featured dancing, drumming, singing, arts and crafts and food. Additionally, the non-competition Pow Wow was open to anyone who wanted to participate. At the Pow Wow, the Young Grey Horse provided some of the major singing for the dance and special segments of the celebration. Duane Chapman’s youngest son, Garry, borrowed a chicken dance outfit from one of the singers and danced along with Native American performers from the island. Not to be outdone, Chapman himself joined and helped to sing a song with the Young Grey Horse as they sang an inter-tribal dance tune.... More About: Star , The Bounty , Bounty
Tim Chapman arrested!
2008-01-11 08:40:00 Ok… I had to read and then re-read this article about Tim Chapman and his arrest that was broadcast online on January 5th, 2008. Over at the Aloha Update, Anthony writes the following: For all of you who used to watch Dog the Bounty Hunter, Dog’s associate Tim Chapman, was caught at the Ala Moana Center in the Bank of Hawaii parking lot with his clothes off in his truck performing lewd acts. When witnesses contacted Ala Moana security, the security guard asked Tim to put on his clothes and get out of his truck. Tim put on his clothes, then started his car, hopped a curb and almost hit the security guard. Now, Tim is charged on suspicion of attempted murder for almost hitting the security guard, and indecent exposure in a public area. What I didn’t know was that Tim had separated from his Samoan wife and had been living out of his truck. When police went over to his Hawaii Kai home, they were told that information. But Brook Hart, Tim and Dog’s attorney, has said t... More About: Arrested
A bit slow around these parts
2007-12-27 08:21:00 I’m sorry I’ve not been posting much since Dog’s show was suspended from A&E. I guess in a way I’m a bit sad. Depressed that the Dog isn’t on the air and A&E hasn’t brought the show back yet. I’m hoping to see them in 2008. I really hope so, and I am going to get back into the swing of things now that Christmas has come and gone and now I’ve got a bit more time to be posting more regularly here. Dog on Larry King
2007-11-12 18:01:00 As Duane Chapman pushes on with his apology tour he made a stop at Larry King and I actually got a chance to catch the show and watch Dog and Larry chat about the tape. Larry re-played the tape and talked about how much Tucker had sold the tape for to the National Enquirer. Dog sat through it all, I felt for him. I can’t imagine having to sit through something that embarassing - over and over and have to replay that whole conversation over and over - in front of everyone - all very public. No, he shouldn’t have said what he did. But man he’s been put out to dry. One thing that did hit home for me was that they were running a poll on Larry King on whether or not Dog should lose his show after hearing those comments. At the time 66% on his site said “No”. As of today, on this site, 242 votes and an 88% support vote that Dog should not lose his job. Dog if you’re reading this - use our poll to get your show back on A&E television! T...
Exclusive interview on Hannity & Colmes
2007-11-08 17:57:00 Last night Duane “Dog” Chapman appeared on Fox News’ Hannity and Colmes to apologize for his racist remarks and to try to explain what happened. From what I’ve read, Dog felt he had a “special connection” with black America and used to say “I’m black too”…. “In other words, my whole life I’ve been called a half-breed, a convict, king of the trailer trash, this and that…so when I stood there and said, ‘I kind of know what you feel like, because I’ve been there, too,’ that I felt that I could embrace and like, as brothers…say the word.” “I now learned I’m not black at all, and I never did it out of hate,” Chapman continued. “This sounds so stupid. I always did it out of love. Other white guys would be like, ‘Boy, who does Dog think he is? Dog can say that.’ And black guys would be with me and walk with me and respect me. “So, I went too far w... More About: Exclusive , Interview
Dog the Bounty Hunter Show loses Advertisers
2007-11-07 15:55:00 As if this couldn’t get any worse for Dog the Bounty Hunter . It’s been reported over at Absolutely Fa-bulo.us that Dog has now lost the advertisers to his show on A&E. Here is what some of the advertisers are saying: Some of the commentary from advertisers: “A&E should wash their hands of this guy. Dog’s rant has personally disrupted my faith in people, and we will never associate any of our brands with any forum that supports racism in any way. As far as we’re concerned, the only way A&E will be in our ad budget next year is if they dump the Dog. This goes far beyond what Don Imus said on MSNBC, and they fired him immediately.” “We wanted to launch our new TV spots for 2008 on A&E and on Dog’s show in particular,” Perry explained. “He was a hero of mine until I heard a tape of him spewing racist remarks as if it meant nothing. I’m disgusted by him. He used the (N-word) multiple times in the most hateful way you could ever imagine. Tha... More About: Advertisers , Show , The Bounty , Dog the Bounty Hunter

A&E suspends Dog the Bounty Hunter TV Show
2007-11-05 14:01:00 Ah crap… say it ain’t so… but it looks like A&E has suspended Dog the Bounty Hunter indefinitely until they’ve sorted out this whole n-word debaucle. Canada.com is reporting that Duane Chapman is in the Doghouse and it doesn’t look good for him. “A&E has slapped a muzzle on Dog the Bounty Hunter . The network indefinitely suspended their hit reality show about the fugitive chasing bail bondsman after a nasty, expletive-laden recording from lead star Duane “Dog” Chapman surfaced on the Web. The National Enquirer posted the full, nearly eight-minute phone conversation between Dog and his son, Tucker, on their website. In the recording, the con catcher tries to convince his son to break up with his new girlfriend, Monique Shinnery, a black woman Dog worries will take offense to the family’s liberal dropping of the N-bomb.” As you know, Dog is already trying to make amends for his phone faux pas. Dog the Bounty Hunter Gets PWN3D by His Own Son
More articles from this author:2007-11-04 15:52:00 Daniel Taylor over at blog.synthesis has a few words to share about the latest fiasco to hit the Chapman family. He’s defintely got a point when he says that Dog got PWN3D by his son. He most certainly did. There is no privacy in that family and Daniel makes a great point by saying: I would ALMOST feel sorry for Dog, I mean, everyone fucks up, especially when no ones looking. But unfortunately, bylaw 345 line 6 of the 21st Century Media Rulebook states that “any person starring or otherwise appearing in a biographical reality television series based upon their supposed ‘real life’ automatically forfeits any and all right to privacy and/or sympathy from the media and greater public in the event of a personal fuck-up.” Sorry, brah. Aloha!! Yup, I’d have to agree - there is no privacy - especially if your a celebrity with your own show. Sad but true.
