I am going to hang my head in shame now. I opened up ThinkGeek.com and saw something on their front page called Super Pii Pii Bros. Enraged, I started typing a post that flamed Nintendo, the developers, and the fans. How can people actually purchase this crap (or pee?) and let well developed games with great storylines and intuitive gameplay pass them by. How!? Then I paused for a second to reflect on my 5 or 6 paragraphs of revile and disgust. At that time, my senses caught up with me…oh crud, I have been fooled. I quickly went back to the ThinkGeek’s site and clicked purchase. NOOOOO!!! APRIL FOOLS FROM THINKGEEK! OK, you got me. Everyone in the office had a nice laugh. I went above and beyond being duped into buying this joke, I actually blogged about it. Who has two thumbs and is an easy target for an April Fool s pranks? Our humble town is now the proud owner or a couple of Redbox DVD rental stations. If you are like me and had not heard of this new fangled technology, Redbox is a touch screen DVD rental station that charges $1.oo per night of rental to your credit or debit card. Pretty simple; you pick your movie swipe your card and go. You will be charged $1.00 for every night you keep the movie up to 25 times. If it hasn’t been returned by then, you own it. A feature they have recently added is online rentals. Now this is really cool especially for those of you that lead busy lives. You go online and pick out your movie and you will be guaranteed to get that movie at your leisure. This is especially handy on Tuesdays because the new releases tend to go pretty fast! Some of this “new fangled” technology has caused our two Redbox stations to have long lines and wait times.
