Whenever someone signs on to help us, they take a leap of faith in our business model and us. However, getting to that stage is an effort in and of itself. There are constant phone calls after phone calls. It takes a lot of parsing through the organizational structure and the nomenclature to figure out who are the people to contact in the first place. Whether it’s venture capital, advertising, or marketing partnerships, the process is the same arduous one.In fact, that’s when it gets really tricky: going from one industry with its norms and mores to one with a completely different social code such as venture capital, which is much more straight edged to marketing, which is much more crayons, scissors and glue.All this can put me in a dizzy spell. As I ranted about all the loose ends to my mom, she said something that made me deal with it much better, Don’t think too much. It’s not healthy.

Nightclub and Event Promoters

Pretty soon our site will be launched and we will be having a bunch of live events throughout the Northeast in New York, Philadelphia, and DC to promote our dating website.To do so, we have gotten ourselves involved with several promoters to help us coordinate these parties. Becoming a part of their world continues to be a learning experience. I am still not all that sure what they do, but I know that many of them have an aversion to picking up their phones.All I have to say is if Paris Hilton finds it urgent to answer her cell phone during the most intimate of moments (although maybe being on camera put pressure on her to be on good behavior), then unless these guys are on another line, answering the phone should be their top priority.
