Episode 73: Another Beautiful Mess.

The story of this particular day is all on video. I'm trying to get another video editing program that won't flip out on me (Windows Movie Maker is pissing and moaning about some .dll file having to do with another damn program altogether) and I'll post the video in segments once it's all done. Long story short, I spent 13+ hours making these shirts and enjoyed every second. All the experiments went rather well. Some of these with the large white areas are going to be redipped in another color. As you might be able to tell...I'm having the time of my life with this stuff. Have a look at yesterday's work

I really do not understand how it happened in the first place. To start, I'd fallen asleep on the couch watching Kung-Fu movies. I woke up watching Kung-Fu movies...and with an overwhelming compulsion to create tie-dye t-shirts. Laugh if you must but I'm not joking. I don't know what came over me. It was like this desire, this urge to just do something that I've never done before. This is what happens when I wake up too early. I suppose I could have turned in, going back to sleep but I couldn't stop myself. I got up, got dressed, got myself together and braved the daylight to make a trip across town to the dollar store. Music has been the pervasive element in my life. I?ll admit that I?m an addict; a junkie of sorts. I can?t go a full day without hearing something either in beat, by note or chord that makes my senses come alive and strikes something within me, making me come to wretched life. This past week has been an experience for me. I can?t tell you how much music I?ve downloaded. I did that for a myriad of reasons. I?m too broke to afford the physical CDs at the moment. I need some of the music that has been requested and, there are memories that I wish to relive, though I?m still uncertain as to whether or not those memories are really my own. 6/6/07 4:30 a.m.I decided to tune in to CherryRock for the first time ever. I'd heard the hype surrounding it but, being the skeptic I can sometimes be, I'd found myself giving it a dismissal. It wasn't a dismissal out of disrespect but more because I've heard shows and stations that provide substance in lieu of the many Howard Stern knock-offs that I've encountered. I have to say that my dismissal was rather unfair.As I tuned in, I heard Simion playing some segments of things here and there and even some music and really generally just having a good time. The chatroom provided live feed of both the show and the webcam. I was impressed at the volume of media that was generated from one show. So there I was sitting on CherryTap (one of those online communities like MySpace) and looking through the bulletins. I love looking through bulletins. It's one of those places you can find a whole lotta things like when a band is releasing something or when the next show date is going to be...that kinda thing. Still, since the inception of this war we're locked into, I still never fail to see the subject lines of "If You Support Our Troops, Repost This!" and up until now, that is precisely what I've done. I've recently quit reposting them. Before you get completely disgusted with me, just hear me out. I was out for a walk recently. Misty's been sick. I'd been sick. I've had a lot on my mind. From here on out, I'll simply post video promos telling you what you can expect on the upcoming shows the weekend before the shows air. They'll include the dates, times, and shit like that. I've figured out how to refine the YouTubes I post so that they come out a lot better and include opening and closing titles PLUS music.The playlists are still being sent out to the people who signed up at TotalGenocyde@gmail.com because bands and labels use them to figure them up in statistics and whatever it is they do with them. I've had my eye on the MotoRAZR V3r for awhile. With four bands, a deep crimson color, 1.2 Megapixel camera, built-in mp3 player, removable micro memory and a host of esoteric gadgets, gizmos, doodads, whoozumwhatzits, and whooptiedoos that I have yet to understand, I only understood one thing...promotions!I make my own ringtones and graphics. Most of what currently sits on my phone are fragments of songs by Reism, Nightwish, Falco, Carfax Abbey, KMFDM, etc. The sound quality kicks ass on the new phone. Now, here are the downsides. In order for the camera to reach its full potential and get higher definition out of it...you gotta have the Micro SD memory card. Remember that SIM card you kept swapping in and out of phones? Forget it...no more...gotta transfer the whole lot to this new 3G card or all of your features aren't going to work.
