Tirupati: Just-married couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai will offer prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near here today.Temple sources told us that a party of about thirty family members and friends of both Abhishek and Aishwarya would also accompany them on a two-hour pilgrimage in the forenoon to the hill temple. Today Amitabh Bach chan apologized to Indian paparazzis that were beat by gun toting security forces for trying to take pictures of his son Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai on their wedding day. 26 April 2007 (Sawf News) - In an exclusive one-on-one to the TOI, Bachchan regretted incurring the wrath of the media during the Abhiash wedding but stuck stubbornly to his contention that his family was entitled to its privacy. ?I am sorry and I apologize with folded hands if the media had trouble because of our security,? Bachchan told reporters outside his home in the western city of Mumbai, India?s entertainment capital.

A famous trader who is preparing special packets for the wedding tells us that these packets will be sent to Mumbai five days prior to the wedding, 'We have received orders from an agent in Mumbai for the Bachchan wedding and we are preparing special packets for them. We will send these packets to wherever they decide to get married.' Not everyone is invited to the Mehendi ceremony. It is supposed to be a very close family affair.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was on Saturday night honoured with the Legion d'Honneur, France's highest civilian award, for his contribution to Indian and international cultural life at a glittering ceremony at the French Embassy in New Delhi. French Ambassador Dominique Girard conferred the award to Bachchan at a special function at the embassy. Created to reward eminent military and civil merits in the service of France, Legion d'Honneur is the highest distinction that can be conferred to a French citizen or a foreigner. Ambassador DOMINIQUE GIRARD described Bachchan as a "towering Indian personality" and the "number one actor of Indian cinema", adding that the award "brings him into the international legion of world's greatest artistes".After receiveing the award, Bachchan said it was an honour that he accepted on behalf of the whole of Indian cinema.
