In a completely bullshit move, CBS settled with Don Imus today for millions, and he’s returning to radio. From Variety: Radio host Don Imus has reached a multimillion-dollar settlement with CBS and is in talks to return to radio, possibly at New York’s WABC-AM, which airs conservative talkers Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. Ouch… nothing like the advertising blitz for your movie being so hard that they put a 50 foot version of you on your own house: The multimillion-dollar marketing campaign for “The Bourne Ultimatum” is so extensive that Universal Studios has actually placed a towering billboard for the hit spy movie on the side of the small Manhattan coop where the film’s star, Matt Damon, lives with his family. So now when the actor returns to his downtown loft, a large likeness of himself is staring down at him from the six-story building’s northern wall. Unsurprisingly, a live action remake of Voltron - the popular 80s-era cartoon series - has been green-lighted and just needs the papers to be inked. Variety reports: New Regency is looking to assemble its own giant robot movie. The 20th Century Fox-based production entity is close to a deal with the Mark Gordon Co. to adapt “Voltron: Defender of the Universe” into a live-action film. Gordon has been developing the pic, based on the popular 1980s Japanese animated TV series, comicbooks and toy line, with Justin Marks penning the script. Should the deal close, project would be one of the company’s more high-profile efforts since Robert Harper took over as chairman-CEO of Regency Filmed Entertainment earlier this year.
