Nathan Fillion is ?Nailing your Wife?
2008-10-11 15:00:00 I’m jealous of James Gunn right now, considering I had this same idea only it was called The G-Rated Porno and did not involve the graphic ending which, kudos to Gunn, is friggin hilarious. I look forward to seeing more of James Gunn’s PG-Porn. Does anyone know if Nathan Fillion is in all of them? Deep ... Related posts:Do you have 5 Friends? My trip to Toronto Beaches(2008) on Flickr
2008-10-11 14:30:00 I’m making quite a bit of progress on my backlog of photos over the past few years. I realized I have way too many photos of Monnie(our one-eyed cat) and might need to cut back. Damn poser. Anyway these photos are from a trip to the beaches back in July. You can check em out on ... Twitter Updates for 2008-10-05
2008-10-06 05:59:00 Ahhh Nuit Blanche, where all of downtown Toronto turns into a hick town watering hole. # @Trites Oh I watched a whole episode of Knight Rider. Don’t worry it’s getting cancelled, but it’s ratings are +++ than Terminator somehow. # Mmmmm…. Clearly Canadian Peach. It’s like walkin on sunshine! # Halfway through the second day of WordCamp Toronto. ... More About: Personal , Updates , Twitter , 2008

Things I like about Wordress 2.7 (Wordcamp Toronto)
2008-10-04 19:20:00 Some things I like about the new Wordpress 2.7 - A Drag and Drop Interface (great for those who don’t use categories etc.) - QuickPress (exactly like it sounds) - The Dashboard opens right up to Quickpress and Recent Comments for quick updating. - Can Upload Media without having to access the gallery. - Finding plugins in the repository from ... WordCamp Toronto 2008 (I?m going)
2008-10-04 07:02:00 In a few hours I’ll be waking up at the crack of dawn to hop the TTC and go into Scarborough for the first Toronto Wordcamp. Interestingly enough MAtt Mullenweg, the founder of Wordpress, will be present. Plus I read somewhere there are free fajitas… More About: 2008

2008-10-04 05:59:00 Just back from a screening of Hamlet 2 and watching the Canadian debates. # One reason Canadian Debates are better: There is less BS, and you have four candidates verbally attacking a moron. # Dion is manning up. # Too tired to watch both debates. Going to have to download them tomorrow. # My business cards are looking pretty ... More About: Personal , Updates , Twitter , 2008

Do you have 5 Friends?
2008-10-02 20:57:00 Deep Thoughts: Who thought insulting the audience would get them out to vote? Chances are if your lazy ass isn’t going to register your ass was probably to lazy to watch all four minutes and forty-five seconds of this. Can we vote not to have Halle Berry or Ellen Degeneres tell us what to do? ... More About: Politics , Friends

Halflife in Just 60 Seconds
2008-10-01 14:00:00 If you have ever discussed Half-Life or rather videogame storytelling in general as being just as elaborate as say film, then I think you need to watch this. Sure they have lampooned movies in much the same, but when they have they usually just catch the one-liners and string it together. This however takes both ... POP: Charlene (I?m right behind you)
2008-09-12 20:11:00 Needless to say this is just an absolute masterpiece. Seeing Stephen Colbert perform a mix of Corey Hart and The Police is gold. Not only that, Harmonix has just released this track for free to play in Rockband and of course presumably in Rock Band 2 (2 more days)
POP: Machinima Music Video - Bacteria by Kerrin
2008-09-11 21:51:00 This video comes to me on a recommendation from Jon of Dads-Space. It also won the recent Jonathan Coulton competition at Machinima.com. So behold Bacteria by Kerrin. Now I have Wear Sunscreen stuck in my head... More About: Video , Music , Music Video
The Wrestler (2009)
2008-09-08 08:55:00 Evan Rachel Wood, who plays Randy's estranged daughter Stephanie, pulls off a solid performance. If anything she felt a bit under utilized. We learn little about her character other than she is a lesbian and that her father bailed out on her a long time ago. While her first scene doesn't shake the screen her scene with Randy on the boardwalk in midwinter is both beautiful and touching. More About: International , Film , Venice , Review , Toronto

Religulous (2008)
2008-09-05 20:20:00 I suppose I should preface this review by saying that I am an atheist. Boy, am I an atheist. Though I don't commit idolatry I do place gentlemen like Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and Bill Maher in the highest regard. I can also say Religulous was at the top of my list for films I needed to see at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. More About: Review , The Movies , 2008
POP: The Gremlins Crash Your DVR
2008-09-05 14:00:00 This is not only funny but damn impressive from batgremlin of Youtube. I remember my disappointment when I saw the VHS copy of Gremlins 2 for the first and did not happen to see Hulk Hogan yelling threats to some Gremlins. The Indiana Jones sequence is particularly well done. More About: Batman , Crash , The Movies
Mongol (2007)
2008-09-04 21:26:00 To think where Tedudgin started before finally moving into Russia is what makes it so awe inducing. I don't think there is any other true tale in history where a man who transitions from riches to slave and then upwards again to the degree of world ruler. On that scale alone it is a story worth enjoying. More About: Reviews
Milk Trailer
2008-09-04 20:54:00 This looks like a serious Oscar contender from Gus Van Sant. Of course I am making that judgement purely off the trailer and taking into account the cast. So long as Sean Penn doesn't play it 'full-on'(Tropic Thunder is really sticking with me) this movie will do great. More About: Trailer , Milk
POP: The Floating Heads Guy
2008-09-04 14:30:00 This is just gold right here. I've seen this guy do some funny work on the Onion(though I don't know his name). To think someone must have had the honor to place Deniro's and Pacino's heads floating in space next to one another. It's enough to make someone tear up. More About: Floating , Heads
POP: Mythbusters draw the Mona Lisa in 80 Milliseconds
2008-09-04 14:00:00 Yeah I know this has been on the web for a good week now and has been posted everywhere, but that doesn't make it any less cool to look at. Too bad the parallel processing analogy is a bit faulty. Still you have to credit the Mythbusters for putting on such a spectacular demonstration by painting a Mona Lisa in 80 milliseconds using only paint balls. The slow motion video is just incredible. POP: Sam Kinison in Back to School

Zack and Miri Make a Porno: Red Band Trailer!
2008-09-03 21:44:00 Ok this one is definitely not SFW but I am getting a good vibe here from Kevin Smith 's latest movie staring Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. If I am lucky and make it into a rush screening at TIFF I may have a review Zack and Miri Make a Porno this Sunday. More About: Video , Movies , Band , Trailer
ScriptGirl Report for August 29th 2008
2008-09-02 03:51:00 It really stinks that we just got great news that Mark Steven Johnson was no longer adapting Ennis's Vertigo series of Preacher for HBO. Preacher was perfectly suited for HBO even if Johnson was no suitable for Preacher (or anything good for that matter). More About: Film , Comics , Report , August
What I?m Playing: Braid
2008-08-29 18:05:00 I picked up Braid the day it was released on Xbox Live Arcade, with only a tiny bit of knowledge about it. I had heard some conversations via 1UP Yours and via the Indie Games Panels from a Game Developers Conference. I figured it was the usual pretentious indie design where you have beautiful artwork ...

POP: Red Alert 3 Camp Trailer
2008-08-28 01:14:00 I used to be a fan of the Red Alert series and Command & Conquer as well, but I am starting to feel they no longer 'get the game'. Getting some from Jennifer McCarthy is not a reward. It's a punishment. More About: Gaming , Trailer , Camp , Red Alert
