Needless to say this is just an absolute masterpiece. Seeing Stephen Colbert perform a mix of Corey Hart and The Police is gold. Not only that, Harmonix has just released this track for free to play in Rockband and of course presumably in Rock Band 2 (2 more days)

The Wrestler (2009)

Evan Rachel Wood, who plays Randy's estranged daughter Stephanie, pulls off a solid performance. If anything she felt a bit under utilized. We learn little about her character other than she is a lesbian and that her father bailed out on her a long time ago. While her first scene doesn't shake the screen her scene with Randy on the boardwalk in midwinter is both beautiful and touching.

Religulous (2008)

I suppose I should preface this review by saying that I am an atheist. Boy, am I an atheist. Though I don't commit idolatry I do place gentlemen like Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and Bill Maher in the highest regard. I can also say Religulous was at the top of my list for films I needed to see at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

POP: The Gremlins Crash Your DVR

This is not only funny but damn impressive from batgremlin of Youtube. I remember my disappointment when I saw the VHS copy of Gremlins 2 for the first and did not happen to see Hulk Hogan yelling threats to some Gremlins. The Indiana Jones sequence is particularly well done.

To think where Tedudgin started before finally moving into Russia is what makes it so awe inducing. I don't think there is any other true tale in history where a man who transitions from riches to slave and then upwards again to the degree of world ruler. On that scale alone it is a story worth enjoying.

This looks like a serious Oscar contender from Gus Van Sant. Of course I am making that judgement purely off the trailer and taking into account the cast. So long as Sean Penn doesn't play it 'full-on'(Tropic Thunder is really sticking with me) this movie will do great.
