Season 2 Ends with Chapter 11?
2007-12-06 17:57:00
Chapter 11, the state of bankruptcy. Did our beloved Heroes show achieve that on its Season 2 "grand finale"? It was a short season and we can definitely blame the writer's strike for it, but we've come to expect a lot more from this show. In many instances it felt like they were dumbing it down for us, and that's disappointing.I was expecting great stuff in the finale and the first 10 minutes or so were very riveting. I particularly liked the scenes with Peter, Hiro and Adam. When Hiro and Peter faced off. Or when Peter and Adam were storming down the Primatech corridor determined and wiping out guard after guard ala the Matrix, that's some classic Heroes. We need more of that on each episode. So what don't we need on Heroes?- Nathan's flying was used just once all season and it was used as some sort of comedy routine where he flies Matt Parkman to Primatech like it's a new airline. Nathan's been shot now, so we will have to wait to see if the Petrelli airline is ...

Season 2: Chapter 11: "Powerless"
2007-12-05 00:30:00
Claire, HRG, Bob, Elle Claire and her mother discuss the loss of HRG. Claire says she needs to go public with the info about The Company and save her family from harm. Meanwhile Bob tells Elle she is benched from field assignments due to her provoking Claire. Elle is visibly upset and begs to stay on. She goes to talk to HRG in his cell and ask what her "dad" and the Company did to her as a child. HRG tells her they tested her power to see how much wattage she could generate as a child. HRG says at age 7 her father told them to keep testing her to go farther and she'd pass out from it. Just then Bob shows up, and Elle leaves. Bob tells HRG that Claire is a problem and she needs to be prevented from going public. West shows up and tells Claire not to leave town. Claire says they need to show everyone what they can do so people can listen to them. West says if they go public everything will be gone. West says exposing them won't bring HRG back. Claire gives West his fil...

Masi Oka on Regis & Kelly
2007-12-03 15:57:00
Mai Oka who plays time-traveler Hiro Nakamura on Heroes appeared on the Regis & Kelly show Monday morning. During the interview he said it's common for people to call him "Masioka" as if it's 1 word just like Madonna. He also spoke about how he was originally a math/science type guy and decided to give acting a try, and now loves it.A clip was shown of Hiro attending his father's funeral and then teleporting back to the scene of his father's death. Masi also discussed how great a power time travel would be to have and how he's considered a bigtime star in Japan, even though they've yet to see the episodes there. The Heroes finale will be Monday night at 9PM EST on NBC.

Netflix Heroes Episodes
2007-11-30 20:47:00
NBC has set up yet another way for fans of the hit series Heroes to watch the show. They have now struck a deal with Netflix which will allow users of their service to watch episodes the day after they've aired. Of course with the writer's strike, there's no word on when a next season would start. This also comes in the wake of NBC not renewing its contract with Apple where episodes were sold on the site for a few bucks each.According to broadcastingcable.com:"We are excited to establish Netflix as a part of our off-network syndication strategy for Heroes,” said Frances Manfredi, executive vice president and general sales manager for NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, in a statement. "This deal reflects the changing landscape of the entertainment marketplace and our objective of finding new buyers that complement our traditional customers."Heroes is currently available on Hulu and NBC Direct for your viewing pleasure. Both sites are in beta. The rights to re-ru...

Thoughts on Upcoming Finale
2007-11-28 10:03:00
Wow, the season finale should offer up quite a bit. According to the preview for next week, "2 will fall", which may mean 2 heroes are gonna bite the bullet. It would seem like someone in the whole Niki/Monica situation is one of them. You'd have to guess Micah is going to ask his mom to go save the day and rescue Monica. You have a gang heavily armed with guns and neither Monica nor Niki can regenerate, so possibly someone there is being slain. The other death is tough to figure out. Didn't see Hiro in the preview really or Maya. Does Sylar get cured and kill Maya? Does he kill Suresh? The preview showed Sylar against a wall with blood on him. That usually indicates a murder but you never know. The preview indicated a "villain will rise". For villains we have Adam Monroe, Sylar, Elle, and Matt Parkman's dad. Smart money is on Sylar, because I'm going to guess Hiro avenges his dad's death. It'd be tough to see Claire, Hiro or Peter being one of the deaths. HRG too f...

Adam tells Peter the woman tried to turn the virus into a weapon and unleash it. Adam shows Peter a picture of the Company founders and tells him they are responsible for the future virus outbreak. Peter tells Adam they need to find Victoria Pratt and make her tell them everything.Peter and Adam arrived at Victoria Pratt's home and Peter goes in to talk to her. Peter finds her gardening and tells her about the Shanti virus and how it kills 93% of the population in a year. Victoria pulls a rifle on Peter as he claims she created a virus that kills millions. Heroes Episode 10 Trailers
2007-11-24 15:20:00
Heroes Episode 10 "Truth & Consequences" looks to feature some great Hero vs Hero battles, including Hiro vs. Peter, Elle vs. Claire, Alejandro vs. Sylar and Micah vs. his cousin. Ok the last one isn't so much of a hero battle, but you'll catch a glimpse of it in the Canadian trailer below. The Hiro vs. Peter battle should prove interesting, but does anyone besides Sylar really stand a chance against Peter? Yes Hiro can use a sword, teleport and stop time, but so can Peter. We already saw Sylar come out of Hiro's frozen time trap, but that may have been due to Hiro's inability to control his power then.Either way, here's the US & Canadian trailers:NBC Heroes 2x10 American trailerNBC Heroes 2x10 Canadian trailer

Claire's Cheer Uniform on Auction
2007-11-23 03:22:00
As we all know Claire has moved on from the traditional red and white cheer uniform she wore last season on Heroes and has now donned the new blue costume for her California high school. The good news is you can save the uniform for yourself (not the cheerleader) by bidding on it at the nbc.com auctions for Heroes. Description:"Union Wells High School in Odessa, Texas is home to a very special cheerleader. Claire Bennet's (Hayden Panettiere) might get her uniform bloody while performing heroic acts, but her power of regeneration means she won't stay injured for long."CURRENT BID: $900 (11/22/07 5:13AM)Quite a bid, but that's the sort of memorabilia item you'd see in a serious collector's room, an upscale comic book shop or even a place like Planet HollywoodThe auction site also includes Claire's Teddy Bear Collection, Sylar's Melted objects and the plane tickets Hiro bought for himself and Charlie on Global Airlines. Also of interest is the painting from "Homecoming" which...

Thoughts on Chapter 9
2007-11-22 07:36:00
The latest episode of Heroes, "Cautionary Tales" brought forth several revelations. One of which a lot of fans had already speculated. Takezo Kensei, aka Adam is the hooded killer who took out Hiro's dad. It makes sense as he has the grudge to bear with Hiro over the whole "back in time" princess love story. Hiro found out the shocking truth and had to let fate be.Matt Parkman started to really flex his mental powers and has basically the same abilities that Eden had. Wonder how far he will go with these new powers. He's already got inside his boss' head and Angela Petrelli's. Will he try his tricks on other heroes? Will he woo a supermodel to be his girlfriend? He might just be one of the more powerful heroes so he should really avoid Sylar. This also ups the ante of what Peter is capable of.Hiro finally has better control of his abilities too and seems to be really developing the attitude of a true warrior. It will be interesting to see what he does with his new ski...

Season 2: Chapter 9: "Cautionary Tales"
2007-11-21 02:19:00
HRG, Claire, West, SureshHeroes opens with the Bennets packing up their things to go on the run. Claire comes downstairs in her new cheer uniform and HRG tells her they have to go. The two engage in an argument over leaving and Claire says she hates HRG for the things he's done such as abducting West. HRG grabs a roll of duck tape to tie up Claire but Mrs. Bennet intervenes telling HRG to stop and for Claire to go to school and say bye to her friends then come home. HRG shows his wife the paintings including his death and the shooter. He tells his wife to trust him and he will find West. HRG calls Suresh and asks him to have Molly track down West. Suresh reveals this info to Bob and Elle and they tell him HRG is dangerous. Suresh suggests they give HRG a false location to lure him. Bob and Suresh are in Costa Verde to apprehend Claire and "take out" HRG. Bob introduces Suresh to Elle as his new partner and she displays her ability to shoot lightning. West flies in to talk...

3 Episodes in the Future
2007-11-16 09:51:00
Here's the titles of the last 3 episodes for Season 2 of Heroes:Episode 2.9 “Cautionary Tales,” November 19Episode 2.10 “Truth and Consequences,” November 26Episode 2.11 “Powerless,” December 3These are the 3 final episodes for Season 2 of Heroes. BuddyTV.com offers a more descriptive look at each, which do include spoilers. It appears there will be a death coming up, a kidnapping or two, an attempt to save the world and a big showdown among heroes. My best guesses based on the previews are that Peter is the one who killed off Hiro's dad, Kaito. This will set up a major Hero vs Hero showdown at the end of the season. For the hero who dies, smart money is on HRG, Claire or West. I doubt they'd get rid of Claire who's easily one of the most popular characters so far. It's gonna get good for the last three episodes!Check out more about the final 3 episodes of Heroes at BuddyTV.com.

Hayden is Wanted in Japan

According to TMZ.com, Hayden Panettiere is wanted by the Japan ese authorities. The actress was part of a protest to prevent fishermen in Japan during their dolphin hunt. According to TMZ.com:"Hayden tells TMZ, "Obviously this issue has generated defensive behavior on the part of both the Japanese Authorities and Fishermen. I have grown up hearing – and adhering to – this phrase: 'condemnation without investigation dooms one to everlasting ignorance.' We must unite as a world to solve our increasing international environmental crises. We can no longer hide behinid out-dated, senseless cultural traditions and lazy, bad habits that are resulting in the annihilation of our planet's resources and the extinction of our species. As a spokesperson for the 'Declare Yourself' campaign, I encourage everyone – particularly young people – to educate themselves on the candidates and their positions on environmental issues. Episode 8 = Answers & Questions?
2007-11-15 01:13:00
Heroes Season 2, Episode 8 had some great scenes with superpowers and special effects and gave us insight into how we got to Season 2's events. Kirsten Bell's character became extremely villainous yet sexy, and we got a cool trip down memory lane to show what happened when Peter went nuclear. As usual it's time to poke a few holes in the show. Again, I'm a fan of this show, but even creator Tim Kring has admitted it has flaws. Here's some things to mull over:- How did Takezo get to the present day? Teleportation or immortal life? No aging is really shown on him, especially if he was alive back in the time of Samurai Warriors. It is possible that Claire, Peter and Adam don't show signs of aging due to their regenerative powers. - How does Adam/Takezo know of Peter's powers? They were in captivity together but did he really get the full list? Or did he overhear someone say "Peter is an empath and can take on powers"?- Does the Haitian's memory block work to block out ...

In walks Takezo Kensei, who introduces himself as Adam. He realizes that The Haitian has taken away Peter's memory of powers. Kensei tells Peter to think of what matters the most to him. He looks at the picture of him and his brother and all of a sudden remembers the vivid scene where Nathan flew him away before Peter could explode in the city. Preview of Heroes Episode 2.08
2007-11-11 03:18:00
This Monday night's episode of Heroes is one which should start answering a lot of questions fans may have had. For example, what happened after the Bomb? How did Peter get chained up in that container? How did DL die? What happened to Sylar after he was stabbed by Hiro's Samurai Sword? And of course the big question, what will Adam (Takezo Kensei's) involvement be in all of this?It looks like a great episode this Monday night, and full of all sorts of great revelations. From the looks of the preview, Elle may have had a bit of an affair with Peter. It also appears like the Haitian became involved in the situation and maybe he's the reason Peter has lost his memory. Stay tuned...You can check out a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7eAvOnAwc A" rel="nofollow">preview video here at YouTube.

Kring Admits to Heroes Flaws
2007-11-09 06:01:00
Many Heroes faithful fans have been disappointed in the quality of Season 2. It seems lacking at many points and a bit forced with the storytelling as compared to Season 1. There's been several new characters thrown into the mix, at least 3 love stories going on, a case of amnesia and at times even a "dumbed down" feel compared to last season. The show is set to potentially end Season 2 as of December 3, thanks to the recent writers' strike in Hollywood.EW Online has a recent candid conversation with Heroes creator Tim Kring in which he discusses why Season 2 was a wash. Kring discusses the new additions to the cast, the love stories, and Hiro being back in Japan for such a long part of the season. Here's a bit from it:"Yet while Heroes has finally found some dramatic traction, this second volume is pretty much a wash. The Dec. 3 episode has been retooled to function as a potential season finale — a move inspired by the writers' strike and a desire to give the show ''...
Thoughts on "Out of Time"
2007-11-08 16:40:00
On the latest episode, "Out of Time ", Peter was in 2008 New York City with his new girl, Caitlin. They discovered the Shanti virus had started to wipe out people, including Peter's brother, Nathan. The good that came of this was Peter got a glimpse of the future and what it holds and what he must stop. He also had his amnesia lifted thanks to his mother, Angela, who provided him with childhood memories. The bad part? Peter teleported back to current day Ireland, without his girl. And then, who shows up? Takezo Kensei, the guy that Hiro Nakamura pissed off way back in time and thought he killed. Except Takezo lives on somehow and says his name is Adam now, and he and Peter are going to make history. So what's this mean? It's just like Bob said, Adam (Takezo) has been recruiting disciples with powers to do his dirty work. One was Mr. Linderman and another was Matt's dad, Maurey. Those 2 are sorta out of the picture, but Peter isn't. Peter will think this guy knows what...

Writer's Strike Unavoidable
2007-11-05 18:29:00
The dreaded writers' strike is officially upon us in Hollywood. Last ditch attempts to prevent the strike failed, and now writers will take to the picket lines. The WGA decided to start the strike in New York, and refused to stop the clock so that negotiations could continue. Many are saying the first shows that could be affected will be late night shows such as Letterman and Leno. Our favorite regular series prime time shows like Lost, 24 and Heroes would most likely be next to follow. Heroes has already shelved "Origins" and has filmed an alternate episode for December 2 which will now serve as a Season 2 finale for the show. The quicker the strike ends and negotiations are worked out, the better for all of TV and its viewers. Read more about the strike here at Hollywood Reporter.

Heroes May Finish 2nd Season Early
2007-11-03 23:51:00
Movieweb.com is reporting that NBC's Heroes may be seeing a quicker finish to the Second season than originally anticipated. From MovieWeb.com:"The second series of Heroes may be ending a lot sooner than anyone expected, as NBC and the series producers prepare for the upcoming Writer's Guild strike. TV Guide reveals that the show is going back and filming an alternate ending to the December 3 episode that would allow the episode to serve as a season finale. The episode was originally to serve as the conclusion for the on-going "Generations" arc, and to set the stage for the remainder of the second season. If the strike is averted, or ends quickly, the alternate ending would most likely be dumped and season two of Heroes would progress as originally planned."Let's cross our fingers that this strike does not occur as it it has already shelfed the spinoff "Origins" and is now threatening to give us less episodes of the regular show! They're Real Life Heroes Too
2007-11-02 20:30:00
They may have extraordinary abilities on the hit NBC show, "Heroes ", but several of the cast members (if not all), are involved in charitable work and other noble pursuits. Hayden Panettiere was in Taiji, Japan this past week, trying to help stop fishermen from slaughtering dolphins. Hayden was part of dozens of activists who paddled their way on surfboards into a cove and attempted to block fishermen's attempts. Despite their tries, hundreds of dolphins were slaughtered. From nbc10.com:"There was one point when they were literally spy-hopping, which is when they jump out of the water and stick their heads up out of the water and they can look around," Panettiere said. "Then this baby stuck its head out and kind of looked at us, and the thought that the baby is no longer with us is very difficult." (Full story here)Hayden's co-star, Masi Oka, who ironically is the Japanese worker capable of teleportation, is also a hero this past week. Oka was named as a spokesperson to promot...

"Heroes: Origins" Put on Hold
2007-11-01 21:23:00
Some unfortunate news about the spinoff from Heroes known as "Heroes: Origin s" which was set to carry us through the break during Season 2 of "Heroes".From Reuters.com:"LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Fears of a writers strike might already have contributed to a decision NBC made Wednesday to pull the highly anticipated spinoff miniseries of its hit "Heroes" from a midseason launch.NBC declined comment, but "Heroes: Origins" is not going to get its six-episode run, which was expected to start as early as late April. While NBC Entertainment co-chair Ben Silverman hasn't officially canceled the spinoff, producers of the series have been given no indication of when it might get a spot on the schedule. The Writers Guild of America's contract expired just after midnight, with the union and the studios far apart on key issues. Is Peter Petrelli the Hero Killer?
2007-10-31 21:32:00
It's starting to seem possible that Peter Petrelli is the hooded Hero es killer now. On this past week's show Peter received that note from "Adam". It just might be the same guy (Adam Monroe) that Bob told Suresh was dangerous to the Company...hmmm...Maybe Adam meets Peter in the future we saw and convinces Peter he needs to kill the Company and all its associates back in "present day"? Not too far fetched...Then again, maybe this Adam guy is the killer because as we saw in Painting 7 of 8, it didn't quite look like anyone we've seen yet, and this guy doesn't like The Company, hence he is HRG's killer..When coming up with suspects, it seems to be best to consider the following:1) The build of the hooded figure we were shown is sort of slender, which is like Peter, Nathan, West, maybe Takezo or even West. If the Petrelli dad is still alive he may be a possibility too. 2) Motives - Who wants these people dead? Someone committing crimes of passion or revenge? Is it someone ...

More Future Paintings Revealed

Noah Bennet aka "Horn Rimmed Glasses" and his good buddy The Haitian payed a little visit to HRG's former mentor, Ivan in Russia. During their visit they were made privy to the location of the remaining 7 paintings in the series of 8 that deceased Heroes painter Isaac Mendez drew. Here's a look at what they found. The only thing distinguishable above appears to be a hand holding a vile of some sort. Possibly the cure for Heroes' sickness or the Shanti virus that Suresh was told to administer to Monica Dawson.Above: In a painting on which we see no number, a blond woman appears to be pounding her fists on a door or wall, possibly because she is locked in somewhere. Best guess from the picture is that is Niki Sanders. Above: A Hiro Nakamura vs. Takezo Kensei showdown, similar to Darth vs. Ben Kinobi and Anakin Skywalker versus Ben Kinobi from the Star Wars movies. 8 Heroes Questions to Consider
2007-10-28 20:08:00
As Season 2 of Heroes continues to progress, here's some of the questions I'm working with. Also includes my speculation for what could easily happen this season. These aren't spoilers, just my ideas of what may happen.1) Who is the Hero killer? My best guess is the "hooded hero killer" is either Nathan, Claude (the invisible man who trained Peter, season 1), or the Petrelli father. Nathan, Claude and Mr. Petrelli seem to have motives as they may not like "The Company" agenda or what was being planned for the city of New York. It would not be surprising if Parkman's dad is using mind tricks to involve Nathan or make it look like Nathan is involved. Takezo Kensei would make for a great twist in the plot, as we are watching him as a hero in the past and he's a killer in the present (it may even relate to #5 below).2) Is West someone HRG sent to watch Claire? This is one that came up recently, in that maybe West is a trusted friend HRG met and helped via the Company. HRG as...

The Powers of Peter & Sylar
2007-10-27 14:01:00
The two most powerful heroes through Season 1 and now into Season 2 are Peter Petrelli and Gabriel Gray, aka "Sylar". Both are on similar paths in Season 2, as they are struggling to regain and use their powers. Peter has amnesia but is able to work powers here and there. Sylar seems to be sick or injured and needs to be cured to regain use of his. This may be a clever budget ploy by the creators of the show, as having these guys able to unleash all powers all season long could really run up the efx budget. Here's a look at what each guy has in his "superhero arsenal" of powers: The Powers of Peter Petrelli - Ability to "mimic" powers of those he's been near (unknown)- Ability to paint future events (from Isaac Mendez)- Dream visions/clarevoyance (from Charles Deveaux/Angela Petrelli?)- Electricity manipulation/lightning (from Elle)- Electronics manipulation (from Micah)- Erase memories (from The Haitian)- Flight (from his brother Nathan)- Invisibility (from Claude)- Liquefac...
Peter's Montreal Painting
2007-10-26 13:22:00
On Episode 205 of Heroes, "Fight or Flight", Peter remembered his power to paint. His glossed over white eyes scared Kaitlyn as he franticly began to stroke the paintbrush on a blank canvas. The end result was the picture seen above, which Peter and Kaitlyn determined was possibly Mont real . The street signs in the painting were written in French and earlier, Peter discovered in his box of personal belongings a plane ticket for Montreal. It raises questions though: How did Peter get the ticket? What is the purpose of the ticket? Who might be in Montreal? Well we can think back to when Peter's mother, Angela wanted Claire to go there to hide away. Of course, Claire escaped the clutches of Angela and her dad, Nathan, and didn't end up there. Most likely it will now involve Peter going there to protect his mother, who will be hiding out from the evil hero killer. If not that, it will be a dead end he searches for answers. It's also reasonable to believe that Elle, the new blo...
