But this wasn't enough: The widow of Bram Stoker won two lawsuits (1924 and 1929) in which she demanded the destruction of all copies of the movie, however happily copies of it were already too widespread to destroy them all. Later, the Universal studios could break her resistance against this movie. Halfway to the moon, the engines shut down because of a problem in the fuel. Newton's laws are instantly violated as the ship comes to a dead stop. There are some tense moments (more or less) while the crew work on the problem. They solve it beyond their expectations and the ship tears off across the solar system on a new course. Incredibly, this takes them directly to Mars, which causes Dr. Karl Eckstrom to "pause and observe respectfully while something infinitely greater assumes control". On Mars, they find evidence of a once-powerful civilization, as evidenced by an art-deco wall-hanging of a face, and a backdrop of a building shaped rather like a dynamo. I know I'm late for X-mas with that, but just found it on Stage6 and couldn't help myself. Enjoy!Info:Martians, upset that their children have become obsessed with TV shows from Earth which extoll the virtues of Santa Claus , start an expedition to Earth to kidnap the one and only Santa. While on Earth, they kidnap two lively children that lead the group of Martians to the North Pole and Santa. The Martians then take Santa and the two children back to Mars with them. Voldar, a particularly grumpy Martian, attempts to do away with the children and Santa before they get to Mars, but their leader Lomas stops him. When they arrive on Mars, Santa, with the help of the two Earth children and a rather simple-minded Martian lackey, overcomes the Martians by bringing fun, happiness and Christmas cheer to the children of Mars.Links:Here's the Stage6 link to the movie, will add RS links later

We first see him as he arrives on a plane in a remote location in the desert. He has a briefcase with him, and it is suggested that this contains Russian military secrets. As Javorsky disembarks from his plane, he and his American contacts are attacked by a group of KGB assassins. While the Americans stay to fight off the KGB agents, Javorsky flees into the desert, walking for (presumably) a great distance, and removing much of his clothing. Too late, it is revealed that he has wandered in range of an American nuclear test. The radiation transforms Javorsky into a mindless beast (the Beast ).This is considered by many as even worse or on par with Plan 9 from Outer Space.
