Do You Pogo?

It seems like almost every has or had an account at Pogo at one time or another. I can count at least ten family members that are addicted to the site and if I log in, probably would find one or two on right now. Pogo, for those that don't know, is another online game site with many free games to play, many with cash prizes. Some of the games are down loadable as well. There is a paid membership option for members only games and features. A few years ago Pogo was either bought by or merged with EA games which brought scaled down online versions of many EA Sports games. The only downfall of having a free membership is most of the EA games, and most of the new games when added will be members only. There is advertising that pops up in between games for people with the free membership, but in life, nothing is really free, and the ads are usually 60 seconds or shorter, then its back to playing. Do you work in a Cube? Know what prairie dogging means (office speak)? Then I have found the toy for you. The Cubes is a collection of 2-3/4 inch tall figures, each coming with all the accessories (walls, computer, file cabinet, chair etc...) to have your very own cube farm. Dilbert, eat your heart out. I like to use Dogpile. I have been using this site for years. Why? Well, it gives the best of all worlds. A search on Dogpile, is really a search on Google, Yahoo, Ask, MSN and more. And like the other search engines, you can search the web, for images, video, and even audio. This site is great for anyone doing SEO research. Along with each found site, or page, Dogpile will list what search engines found the site. Great way to find out if your site or your favorite site is not getting listed on any or all of the big players. So whats in a name? Well, while Dogpile has a dog as a mascot, the name comes from the originators of the sites love for Rugby, and the term used when everyone piles on the person with the ball. Simple name for a great search engine.

For the Caffeine Obsessed

Right now, while sitting here typing this, I am drinking a Diet Pepsi Max. If you are not familiar with this product from Pepsi, its basically Diet Pepsi with about twice the caffeine. I say RIGHT ON! This brings me to question of being obsessed (addicted if you want) with caffeine. I never thought I was really bad until I went about a week without any. Not a good sight, let me tell you. So, I sit here, gulping down my caffeine laced drink, and what do I stumble upon? None other than energyfiend.com. A little blog dedicated to caffeine and everything related. If you decide to visit, check out the "Death By Caff eine" link and see how much of your favorite drink is too much of a good thing. For my body weight, It would take about 230 cans of Diet Pepsi Max or 436 cans of just Diet Pepsi. I know I can drink a lot, but don't see myself downing 21 and a half gallons of anything that quickly.

Paper Cutout Cars!

You will need a printer, paper, scissors, and tape (or glue) today. Nissan Japan has paper cutouts of many of their car designs. The site is in Japanese but its still easy to find and download the model of your choice. For each Design there is three files to choose from. The first two are PDF files, with the first in color, and the second being black and white, The third file is a black and white GIF file. There is a pull down menu on the page (while not readable in English) which will take you to a few other pages within the site with more paper models to download. While not every Nissan model may be found, there are dozens to play with. The pdf files do come with instructions in Japanese if its any help. Good luck, and post back how well you do.

I usually only visit when there is some new JibJab created (usually political) and we all know when this happens because we all get ten emails about it. But last week my wife and I were watching the final episode of "So you think you can dance" and they did a little JibJab skit with one of the judges and the host, and stated there was more to see on the site. Well, the plug worked and off to the site I went. This where I got to fun part. If you haven't been, or been recently, they now offer the ability to upload your own photos that you can use to insert into one of a hand full of routines (new routines added all the time) . After you find a photo you want to use, crop the head using whatever photo software you have. It is not 100% necessary, but will save time by decreasing the size of the file.
