Can't Wait For Nancy Drew

You guys are the only ones I'm telling this to. I am actually looking forward to seeing Nancy Drew this Friday. I will probably take a long lunch, disguise myself, and not tell anyone, but I'll be there. I don't know why I'm so interested. Maybe it's nostaglia or maybe it's the fact I like cheesy, feel good movies. I might be the only one, besides Mary-Kate and Ashley, who watched New York Minute. By the looks of the reviews, I won't have trouble finding a seat in the theatre. Grouchoreviews said, "The new film is OK for the most undiscriminating of tween girls, but nostalgia seekers should run back to their own bookshelves. Worstpreviews.com said "the decisions behind this film are a mystery." But last week in Minneapolis people were lined up...Maybe it had more to do with Emma Roberts than the movie, but tell me what you think. David Letterman's Kidnapper Escapes From Jail

Kelly Frank was arrested in March 2005 on allegations he was plotting to kidnap talk show host David Letterman 's young son and nanny from his Montana home. The kidnapping-related charge was later dropped against him, in exchange for guilty pleas on three other charges: felony theft, misdemeanor obstruction and possessing illegally killed wildlife, a felony.Frank, along with another inmate, reportedly left the prison grounds while on a work detail outside the prison fence, The Montana Standard newspaper reported on its web site. Sheriff Lee Baca, who released Paris from jail early, has been questioned in the past over his decisions regarding celebritites. He has been accused of also favoring Mel Gibson, taking thousands of dollars in freebies, and appointing his friend as "advisor" making $105,000 a year. In 2004, he took more gifts than California's other 57 sheriffs combined.His latest stunt of releasing Paris early without consulting the Judge appears to be a just another case of Baca taking the law into his own hands. After ordering Hilton back to her cell Friday, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer said he "at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff."The Judge is also being reprimanded by the union who represents deputy sheriffs. They said, Baca must "put a stop to his special treatment for celebrity inmates." And county Supervisor Don Knabe said he was stunned to find out Baca released Hilton without consulting the court. Fox News' Greta Van Susteren has reported that, while she sat approx. 2 feet from Paris Hilton as she was sentenced to serve out her 45 day sentence, she observed Paris "twitching and shaking." Van Susteren also said that there seemed to be a serious medical issue, much more than was originally speculated, and "if someone looking like Paris showed up on my doorstep, I would immediately call for medical help." "There is something wrong with her. She is in serious need of medical attention. She had a tick, and was twitching and shaking," said Van Susteren. When the hearing was over, Paris had to be "physically escorted" by a female deputy out of the courtroom. Sources say Kathy Hilton was pacing in the hallways.Paris will get credit for the five days she has served.
