PRABHAKAR, A TV Artist Is Turning To Big Screen...

PRABHAKAR who is generally busy on Small Screen is gonna make an interesting Big Screen appearance for the first time. He is doing a full length role with both POSITIVE and NEGATIVE shades in the movie titled CELL. It is being considered as an Experiment. So, what is so unique about this film? To start with, the film is a SUSPENSE thriller with REVERSE Screenplay writing technique. The movie is being Produced by Tungaturthi Sreelakshmi. And is being Directed by Venkatanarayana, who also provides Dialogues and Screenplay. Recently, the film underwent extensive shoot on state highways in and around Hyderabad, finishing 30 days of shoot. Producer Sreelakshmi said that there would NO STUNTS and NO SONGS. Sameer, Kota Sankar Rao, Chatrapati Sekhar, Bhavani are some of the artistes in the film. John is the cinematographer and Mahi Sridhar is the Music Director. With its first copy ready, Cell gets ready for release in a few weeks.

Surender Reddy says, "I discuss story line with the producer and then explain the depth of each scene and the amount of films that has to be used for that. HYDERABAD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL was held for the first time in 2007. The organizers claim it was a success and are trying to make it a grand success this time too... The Hyderabad International Film Festival Committee had decided to hold the forthcoming Film Festival from January 3 to January 10, 2008 at Prasad's Multiplex. Noted Director V Sagar will act as the vice-chairman of the committee, while Union minister Dr Dasari Narayana Rao would be the chairman.The films to be screened in the film festival would be divided into 12 categories and they would be screened in Prasad's Multiplex and Lalitha Kala Thoranam. In each category there would be 2 prizes. In a statement the committee says, "Those who were interested to get their feature films screened in the International Film Festival should submit their entries before November 20, 2007. For Short Films and Documentaries, the last date will be December 1, 2007."

Earlier, I predicted in my article KALCHAs HAPPY DAYS BOX-OFFICE PREDICTION that Sekhar Kammula's wonder movie would collect around Rs. 6-9 Cr. in the Overseas market and a minimum of Rs. 12 Cr. in the domestic market.And now I am ecstatic about the fact that HAPPY DAYS is well on its target in the Overseas market... But FORTUNATELY, it has surpassed my expectations by a huge margin in the domestic market... All over A.P., the movie is still commanding 100% Occupancy after 10 days of its release. And there is nothing much left to predict now... But the movie will surely collect around Rs. 18-22 Cr. in the domestic market alone. That would take the gross collections to around Rs. 26-28 Cr. including Overseas market.Remember the fact that HAPPY DAYS was made on a very modest budget of around Rs. 3 Cr. Viyyalavari Kayyalu Release Date Postponed Again To 1st November...

VIYYALAVARI KAYYALU is likely to be released on 1st of November . If you are wondering about the cast, it has yesteryear dream boy UDAY KIRAN, NEHA JULKA and SRI HARI. Actually, it was scheduled to be released along with CHIRUTHA at the end of September. But due to some OBVIOUS reasons (You know what I mean...), it was postponed to 12th of October.But then as two big releases Venkatesh starer THULASI and Mahesh Babu starer ATHIDHI are lined up in October, Viyyalavari Kayyalu is now postponed to 1st of November.
