Mosaic Marbles
2006-08-08 19:15:10 I posted a few polka dot centerpiece ideas last week that required black and white glass pebbles but was having trouble finding a reliable online source for them. Today, I found them on the Mosaic Tile Arts website. They are about $2-$3 per pack of 50. Some things they can be used for: - filling vases - covering sand in buckets - sprinkled around the centerpiece for added color - accenting favors, placecards, table signs, out of town guest bags, centerpeices, candle holders, wedding cakes, etc. They also carry mosaic tiles, mirror tiles, tumbled glass (like sea glass) and more which could be used for DIY decor projects as well:) More About: Marble , Marbles
July Celebrity Wedding ReCap
2006-08-08 19:15:10 Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock at the first of 4 wedding celebrations planned. This event took place on a yacht in Saint-Topez, France on July 30th but according to local authorites, it was not a legal marriage. The couple legally tied the knot in Detriot shortly after. Game Show Host, Chuck Wooley ties the knot again. This is the 65 year old’s 4th wedding. His bride, Kim Barnes, hails from Michigan. The pair were married on July 17th. Avril Lavigne, 21 and married her sweet heart, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley in a private ceremony on July 15th. No celebrities were invited to this romantic, traditional family celebration! Television personality Jillian Barberie married actor Grant Reynolds this past weekend in an intimate ceremony in her backyard. Jillian is best known as a cohost on morning talk show Good Day LA, cohost of Fox?s NFL pregames, and host of EXtreme Dating. My Wedding, My Weight
2006-08-08 19:15:10 As most of you know, I sell and design wedding gowns. One of the most common questions that cross my desk: “How long can I wait to order? I would like to lose a few more pounds first.” It’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and everyone wants to look their own personal best - from the perfect hair, to the perfect dress. While I would never encourage a bride to take extreme measures simply to loose weight for a wedding - a healthy deit and regular excercise should be part of EVERY bride’s wedding planning routine. Why? Wedding planning is stressful. You need to take time to take care of your body so that it can handle that stress. You don’t want to get to your wedding day, tired, worn out and sick. Taking care of your physical needs and health now will pay off in the end: both in your appearance and the way you feel on your big day! If you are looking for some encouragement - FItTV now has a GREAT tv shows called Buff Brides: all about brides trying to get in... More About: Weight , Eight , Weigh
Fun Funky 50?s Wedding Centerpiece
2006-08-08 19:15:10 This was actually a New Years Party but I thought it would be a cute centerpiece idea for someone planning Fun ky 50’s wedding. The centerpiece is a 50’s style shake cup filled with pink and white sand. The top is filled is filled with pink and white carnations - finished with a dark pink carnation for the cherry, and two straws. I am not a fan of the black furry stand. I would place the glass on a mirror, and sprinkly white and pink flower petals for a more romantic yet still funky elegance. More About: Funk , Wedding , Cent , Center

Polka Dot Wedding Centerpieces Ideas 2A and 2B
2006-08-06 19:12:03 Version 1: This Tin Bucket project we shared earlier would also work as a polka dot centerpiece. For The Bucket: - Use polka dot paper for the stripes on the top and bottom of the bucket. - Use a pink ribbon instead of a checked ribbon. - The tag would be made using a black background, polka dot top and pink bottom. - Use pink for the flowers to finish the can. (Complete instructions) Options To Fill The Bucket: - Fill with sand to hold white pillar candles. Place a thin layer of white and black stones to hide the sand. - Fill with white flowers. Glue Black stones or beads onto picks to inset into the flowers for a “polka dot” look. Version 2: You could rent silver vases similar to this one. Fill each vase with white roses. Use the black stones or beads on picks, mentioned above - to add “polka dots”. Finish each arrangement with a pink ribbon around the vase or pink rose petals sprinkled around the bottom of the vase. Polka Dot Wedding Centerpieces
2006-08-06 19:12:03 Yesterday, I got a message from a bride asking for centerpiece ideas for a black and white polka dot wedding with pink accents. So, over the next few days I will put together some ideas and share them on here as I come across them. Here is my first idea: 1. Rent glass containers from your rental provider. 2. Line the bottom of each container with black and white round glass decor pebbles. Another option is the decorative gravel you can buy for fish tanks. Or, check ebay or a local craft store for large black and white beads. 3. Place a pink flower into the pebbles and fill with water. 4. For the candles, you could do white, one white and one black - or if you wish: take some time and use some black wax from the craft store to drip “polka dots” right onto the candles. 5. Sprinkle roses petals around each table. You could do white, black(check out ebay for black petals), pink or some combination (white & black, white & pink, all three, etc) I think that white pet... Da Breakup Song
2006-08-06 19:12:03 This may be just about the meanest and funniest breakup option all in one! You enter the name of the person you are breaking up with and two reasons why you are breaking up with them. The “talented” Lady Raptastic then creates a song to email to your boyfriend to dump him. It’s nasty is SO many ways, and yet SO funny!!! You can make up a song and listen to it just for fun! Send one to your fiance, friends, etc to give them a good laugh (make sure you include a note letting them know it’s just a joke, lol) I made one for my hubby, and it was hilarious!! Joanne?s Acessories
2006-08-06 19:12:03 Today, we purchased a veil, tiara and necklace/earrings set for Joan ne from Veiled & Bejeweled. We got all three together for a total of $52 including shipping!! That’s pretty good considering the average veil in a bridal salon is over $100. For her veil, she picked a simple two teired fingertip veil with a ribbon edge. The taira is a small, very delicate design in silver and rhinestones. And the necklace is silver, with rhinestones and pearls, and matching earrings. More About: Anne , Esso
French Riveria $37/night!!!
2006-08-06 19:12:03 Here is another great resource for all you brides-to-be looking looking for affordable honeymoon options. Rentalo is a great site that contains a complete database of rental cabins, lodges, etc world wide! From Canada to the Bahamas, California to Paris - were ever you want to go, you can find great deals on private vacation rentals here! Some examples: A Coral Beach Condo in the Bahamas starting at $64 per night - that’s cheaper then a hotel!!! A two bedroom apartment in the French River ia for $37 per night - NO KIDDING!!!!! A Banff Boundary Lodge for as low as $61 per night! What really shocked me was that I could find an apartment in the French Riveria for $100/night less then the cheapest place in Puerto vallarta, Mexico!! On a two week vacation, you would save $1400 - more then enough to cover the extra flight costs!! More About: Night
Joanne?s Guestbook
2006-08-06 19:12:03 I don’t know about you - but I have a pet peeve when it comes to guest books. For my wedding, we spent $35 on a guestbook, and even with 200 guests, we only used about 1/4 of the pages. So, now I have a mostly empty guest book that I spent way to much money on. Joanne is apparently much smarter then I am, lol. We found this mini album on eBay for $3.99. With shipping, it came to less then $8! It is 5 x 7, with 12 pages inside. It is also photo safe, and available in a large number of colors! Joanne picked orange, to match her Orange & Yellow Gerbera Daisy theme. A small photo of the couple will go in the front, and we will dress up the cover just a little bit with scrapbook supplies. We will probably pick up some white or yellow ribbon at the dollar store and replace the black ribbon as well. Then, a picture of the couple will go on the right hand side of each page, and guests will have the facing pages to sign their wishes on. Joanne doesn’t know this (and I don... Joanne?s Wedding Invitation
2006-08-06 19:12:03 We have decided to make invitations ourselves. I made out four, 4.25 x 5.5 inch designs. Joanne is having a hard time deciding between the first two. (By the way, if you click on the images, a full size will open and you can save it. They are free gerbera daisy invitation templates that you are welcome to use:) If you do use one, let me know - I’d love to see the results) The invitation will be made as a card. The gerbera square (also free, take if you wish) shown below will be on the front, right hand corner of each invitation, with the guest’s names printed next to it (one of the benefits of DIY - fully customizable!!!) For those that need to be mailed, the address will be printed right on the front of the card so envelopes will not be needed. The design Joanne chooses will go inside the card, with the invitation wording printed there as well. Each card will be sealed with a daisy sticker - purchased as a set from ebay for 99 cents! Once we finish them - I will take s... More About: Wedding , Vita , Invitation , Anne
Polka Dot Wedding Centerpieces Idea 3
More articles from this author:2006-08-06 19:12:03 I found this display on Target. A black and white polka dot ribbon tied around the case is all it would take to turn this vase into a perfect centerpiece. You could also place small votive holders with black and white votives around it for a romantic candle lite dinner. These are lovely, and are $29.99 each. You can find them on the target website. If they are a little expensive for your tastes, you may be able to get the look for less. Glass vases can be rented from your wedding rental provider for a few dollars. Silk pink florals can purchased at the craft store along with some polka dot ribbon. If you are not a fan of ribbons - black and white stones in the vase would also make a beautiful touch.
