BOMBAY TO BANGKOK is a cute romantic story with its heart in the right place. It also has a subplot within the plot, which comes as a surprise towards the end. What Nagesh Kukunoor tries to portray is that love has no boundaries and can surpass even language barriers. It also overlooks obvious flaws. No matter where you find it, when you do, it?s the most delirious feeling. Here, Nagesh hits the nail on the head.The narration is simple; there?s nothing over the top and the moments between Shreyas Talpade (Shankar) and Lina Christianson (Jasmine) are handled very romantically.Nagesh gets straight to the point with his central character, Shankar, and follows his path to Bangkok where cupid strikes and love blossoms. Kunal Khemmu has an interesting double role in Shree Ashtavinayak's next film SUPERSTAR based on the film industry, directed by Rohit Jugraj. And for the same Kunal used to don two different hairstyles for different characters. It was really a time consuming procedure and also required a lot of patience on Kunal's part!! One had to have straight gelled hair and the other, full of curls!It was also a high alert zone for the assistant directors of the film who had to keep scrutiny to avoid any goof up. A lot has been written on Rakesh Roshan's sequel to Krrish which will be called Krrish-2. Deepika Padukone ? the latest Bollywood heartthrob has grabbed eyeballs with her performance in Om Shanti Om .But Deepika has not put academics on the back burner and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts course at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).The 21-year-old rising star evidently has interest in socio-economic issues, as shown by her choice of subjects."Padukone is a student of BA course in IGNOU since 2005. She has opted for sociology as her major with economics as a subsidiary subject," Srikant Mohapatra, the varsity's Registrar said.Deepika, who did her schooling from Bangalore, moved to Mumbai to pursue her career in modelling."She has appeared in five papers at the end of the first year in 2006. Detours from convention, digitisation and a ringing till! Bollywood never had it so good.The year 2007 rained largesse on the world's second largest movie industry with hits like "Chak De! India", "Bheja Fry" and "Taare Zameen Par", three medium-budget movies with rather unconventional plots. Bollywood raked in a profit of Rs 4 billion. And there's quite a lot that's waiting to happen in 2008."In my opinion, 2007 will be remembered for a Hollywood Studio's (Sony Pictures) first Indian venture 'Saawariya'.
