Actor-producer and now a successful director, Aamir Khan is on a high these days. The reason is but obvious; his directorial debut venture, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, which received a lot of critical acclaim, is on way to commercial success too. The slow start notwithstanding, the film is now faring extremely well, especially at the multiplexes.The super actor may officially be on a long break, but that is far from the truth. Item-girl-turned-actress Rakhi Sawant on Tuesday filed a criminal complaint against Star Plus channel, alleging them of cheating after she lost in the finals of reality show Nach Baliye 3.Rakhi, who along with beau Abhishek Awasthi lost in the final round to TV actors Sanjida Sheikh and Amir Ali, alleged in her complaint filed in the Oshiwara police station that the channel deliberately prevented her from winning the contest.The winner in the show was selected on the basis of SMS voting by the viewers.At a press conference in Mumbai, Rakhi alleged that voting was manipulated and SMSes in her favour were blocked. Two production houses fighting for one movie Johnny Walker

Two production houses are at loggerheads over making the film Johnny Walker for which Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu were finalized.The project originally belongs to Percept Picture Company (PPC) that had roped in director Shoojit Sircar to direct the film. However, things began to go awry after creative differences cropped between Sircar and Shailendra Singh of PPC.Reportedly, Sircar has opted out of the PPC project, has worked on a new story on a similar subject, given it a new title, and approached UTV to produce the film. Not just the subject, Sircar even wants the same cast ? Big B, Tabu and Arjun Rampal in the UTV film.This has irked Shailendra Singh who claims to own the rights to the movie. The Hyderabad police, on Monday night, booked a case against the crew of the documentary In Such Times for shooting in a graveyard without the requisite permission. The documentary is being directed by actress Nandita Das.The crew of the film, which stars actress Shabana Azmi, reached the Dargah Barhane Shah graveyard in Santoshnagar area on Monday and dug up a fake grave for the shoot. Local residents spotted the film crew and raised objections against shooting at the graveyard.Neither director Nandita Das nor actress Shabana Azmi were present at the spot abollt the time.
