End Of The Year Reflections

I have been in a very thoughtful mood lately. Not thoughtful as in nice, but in a reflective way. Maybe the reason for this is because a new year is approaching and it is a time to think of new hopes and dreams.Possibly another reason for my thoughtful mood is to get past the shallowness of the holiday shopping season. The holidays are wonderful but the pressure of buying gifts and spending money shouldn't be what it is all about.This is a very light hearted thought that I wanted to share and ask if you will too. I was thinking about what my favorite sounds are. Lead free toys should be for everyday. But, unfortunately, that is not the case anymore. Every time you turn your T.V. on, you see more recalls and more apologies from the toy companies you have come to trust.Flugpo, the Free Classifieds Site, wants to create a database, of sorts, of lead free toys. One of the members of Flugpo has even started a page of nothing but lead free toys.I know it sometimes feels like you are the only parent out there looking for lead free toys...or the only one who cares. What I like about Flugpo

I stumbled on the Flugpo.com a few days ago. I find the layout to be very user friendly and easy to navigate. I was able to sign up and post a few ads within minutes. I appreciate a website that you can just get on and run with. There is no learning curve to using Flugpo.com.I used to love CraigsList.com until it got huge and taken over by spammers. CraigsList.com is very limiting compared to Flugpo.com. I can post ads, network and connect with people from all over. I like the more intimate feel. It has been cloudy and rainy all week long where I live. I am starting to forget what sunshine looks like. I beleive this weather pattern is supposed to last at least through the weekend. This has been a slow day on the Internet. There is not much going on. Many sites that I frequently visit have not been updated (including my own blog!). I have a feeling it will be somewhat slow during the remaining days until Christmas. People just have more important tasks to take care of right now.
