This is great news I have been waiting to hear this since well when Spaced ended a few years ago. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are set to write a new comedy about a pub quiz team called Le triviata which is funnily enough set in the pub that was used in Shaun of the Dead. Simon Pegg will return to television with a new sitcom, La Triviata. The comedy is written with Shaun Of The Dead co-star Nick Frost, who also appears in the show. The programme, centring on a pub quiz team, is set in the same pub as featured in Pegg’s zombie-comedy. He said: “The Winchester pub in Shaun Of the Dead is based on a pub called The Shepherd near where we used to live. Nick and I have also set La Triviata in The Shepherd. Thats the problem I think when your rich and you break up and of course it would be hard just to walk away when you think you are owed some of the money. Sir Paul McCartney has reportedly frozen the joint account he shares with estranged wife Heather Mills. Mills was withdrawing “obscene amounts” of money, according to sources, leaving McCartney unimpressed. A source said: ?Sir Paul was disgusted by the obscene amounts of money Heather was withdrawing. It seems she is determined to spend money while she has the chance before the divorce goes through.? McCartney has also had to change the locks on the house they shared in London. Just reading that Hell boy 2 is confirmed and ready to go which is cool news because I loved the first one so much. I didnt have high hopes when it came out but after watching it I really like the idea of that comic book hero. That determination has paid off as Universal has picked up HELLBOY 2 in turnaround from Revolution and has set the film for a summer 2008 release. Universal will fully finance and release the film, which will reunite Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and “Abe Sapien” actor Doug Jones, who Del Toro promised would voice the character this time around. I was reading over at AICN that Heath Ledger has been confirmed to be on board for the next Batman movie and it got me thinking if he plays the joker will he better then Jack Nicholson or worse and my view is worse because when he played the Joker Jack was amazing…loved him as the joker…just seems weird really to bring back another baddie from a previous movie. Above is the poster to the new WWE Films flick called the Mari ne . Now I have a rant I didnt mind the fact they made See No Evil with Kane because it looked freaky and scary and it looked good but the fact they plugged it every chance they had on WWE Programming annoyed me…like on RAW we would have like 7 tv spots for it and it would be everyweek as well, so safe in that knowledge im sure they are going to do it again with this film.
