The movie trailer for Meet Dave , Eddie Murphy's Norbit follow up, has hit the web. Directed by Brian Robbins (Ready to Rumble, The Shaggy Dog, Norbit), Meet Dave stars Eddie Murphy as an alien spaceship in human form. A crew of miniature aliens operate are trying to save their planet, but encounter a new problem, as their ship becomes smitten with an Earth woman (played by Elizabeth Banks). Looks pretty horrible? maybe it will be nominated for an Academy Award. Watch in horror for yourself below. First we met Norbit, now we meet Dave . Meet Dave is the next terrible comedy from Eddie Murphy and his director Brian Robbins. This time he's an alien, I think, being controlled by a whole of bite-size people including Eddie Murphy and Gabrielle Union? Oh goodness, what have we come to? The only good thing about this is Elizabeth Banks, but even she won't save what is going to completely flop at the box office this summer. There really is nothing good coming out of this. I don't know why they keep making movies like this and I don't know why people keep seeing them. Oh well? Juno Una de las últimas comedias más aclamadas en los últimos tiempos se estrenó ya hará un mes, pero la falta de tiempo, hace que vayamos al cine cuando podemos, no cuando queremos. Fue una sorpresa que fuera nominada a los Oscar no sólo como mejor película o director, sino tambien por actriz y guión original. Por tanto, había que verla si se consideraba tan buena. Pero la verdad, es que últimamente no tengo nada de suerte con las pelis que eligo ver en el cine. En los anuncios, que nos hemos cansado de oir y ver, hablan sobre esos diálogos tan interesantes que estan en la película, y nos ponen unos cuantos ejemplos. Pues bien, sólo hay esos, que por cierto, ya has oido previamente en los dichosos anuncios, por lo que la película, en mi opinión, queda coja (por decirlo de alguna manera). NO ES PAÍS PARA VIEJOS - (Reseña sobre la película)  Galardonada por la crítica estadounidense, y con dos Globos de Oro en su haber, llegó a los Oscar de este 2008, con ocho nominaciones, consiguiendo finalmente cuatro estatuillas. A la mejor película, al mejor director, al mejor guión adaptado, y al mejor actor de reparto. En esta adaptación para el cine de la novela de Cormac McCarthy, los hermanos Cohen nos conducen por el abrasador desierto tejano y la frontera con México. Y nos cuentan a ritmo lento, con escasos diálogos, y sin banda sonora, una brutal historia, tan árida como los escenarios en los que se desarrolla. I say I shouldn’t have because I was 10. It aired on the Canadian Movie Channel “First Choice” and I was stunned and struck with awe at the imagery and …. well boobies. This movie spent the better part of the next decade BANNED in Canada. Animation was too easily mistaken as a children’s program and our negligent parents just let us watch anything that was animated. No quiero ver 10,000 B.C.La reseña que no me atrevo a hacer en estos días es la de 10,000 B.C. Y es que honestamente me gustó el Día de la Independencia, ¡pero vamos! quien se traga una nave extraterrestre sin un FIREWALL, o que me dicen de la lagartija gigante que dizque era Godzilla, y su relación amorosa con el personaje de Matthew Broderick y ya para cerrar que tal El Día Después de Mañana , en donde todos se congelan menos la gente de la biblioteca central, es más el nivel del mar solo tapa los teléfonos para hacer más dramática la situación. Por eso y muchas cosas más no me acercaré a ver 10,000 B.C. hasta que este disponible en algún canal de cable, lo único que duele es no ver a Camilla Belle pero de nuevo otra vez, seguramente trae un perfecto bikini de piel que nunca deja ver sus atributos personales. ¿Charlize Theron será Lady Vengeance ?Casualidades de la vida, os mencionaba ayer mismo este film coreano, con motivo del póster inglés de I’m a Cyborg, la última película del director de culto Chan-wook Park. Bueno, pues aunque no son más que rumores de momento, alguien ha dicho por ahí que Charlize Theron planea realizar el remake de la cinta Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. De ser cierto, parece bastante obvio imaginar que con un papel así entre manos, Theron no se conformaría sólo con producir la cinta. Sino que también sería su principal protagonista. 'The Saint ' TV Series Update We reported this months ago, but now it is official through the trades - that James Purefoy is in talks to star in a TV movie/ backdoor pilot (not as crude as it sounds) of The Saint. The good news in all this is that this new version will be directed by Hollywood heavy hitter Barry Levinson, director of Rain Man and Good Morning, Vietnam amongst others. The pilot was written by the spell check friendly Jorge Zamacona, who first worked with Levinson on the great 1990's detective show Homicide: Life on the Street. The show will be produced by Bill Macdonald, and Geoffrey and Roger Moore. Moore, in case you didn't know, got his big break starring as Simon Templar in the 1960's version of The Saint before moving on to the even more iconic role of James Bond. The new series (if the pilot is successful) will be produced independently and then pitched to TV networks. No updates on when shooting will begin, but don't be surprised to see this new version...

Wolfman SightedThe first pictures of Benicio Del Torro as The Wolfman are now online, and they look, well... bloody! This is good news. When I first heard that journeyman Joe Johnston was helming the horror I was afraid that the film would be family friendly (how much alliteration can you fit in one sentence?!). This looks like the real deal. There isn't a great whole lot to see - just Del Torro looking haggard in tight black jeans (never a good look) with crew and Anthony Hopkins hanging around. At least they're shooting this sucker, and the gore content makes me think this isn't going to be PG-13. I think I might just be over the (full) moon. New Speed Racer Trailer Is Actually Pretty Cool Speed Racer & Racer X in a scene from the upcoming movie Geez, I've heard rumors about trailers that were supposed to be playing in front of the extremely weak 10,000 B.C. before I went to see it and since. Everything from the new Iron Man trailer, The Incredible Hulk and The Dark Knight to this new Speed Racer trailer. I sat through the damned thing and didn't even have the satisfaction of seeing one single new trailer for anything coming out this year. On the bright side, at least seeing the Indiana Jones trailer on the big screen finally managed to get me fired up about that one. :-) In any case, here's a brand new trailer for Speed Racer, and I'll be damned if it doesn't actually look good to me! Se puede ver en inglés o subtitulada en castellano y otros idiomas. Se diseñó originalmente como un Powerpoint para estudiantes de secundaria en Colorado en 2006.
